the thing is if lenny WAS actually like "arthur don't look now but you're being haunted by... some manner of wretched apparition..." i don't think arthur's mind would go to john first. or at all. he'd be like "oh fuck this must be a brand new unrelated spirit that i was totally unaware of" and would be nodding along to leonard's description of the terrible specter getting increasingly worried and frightened along with him right up until lenny said something actually identifiable abt a yellow cloak or pallid mask and arthur would suddenly go OH! haha you really had me going for a minute! no that one is supposed to be there :)

Rocky was willing to stay at Tau Ceti for the rest of his life until he either found a solution, or died.
