In Potemkin, because everyone has magic, knowing someone's real name is a great deal.
That's one of the things that changed from what was Camelot, and what was merged into this world created by the Paradox Prism shattering. Everyone's "real name" is hidden... BY ARCADIA.
He doesn't want anyone stopping him. But each time someone calls someone their real name, his Hypnotism magic (he has the Warp Topaz, so even the hypnotism magic is a lie) weakens.
His strongest hold is over "Arrow", but if someone were to call his name, not the one given to him... he would be very confused about why he turned around. (Lancelot knows, btw, so he calls by that name one time Arcadia wanted to finally expand his kingdom and visited, before correcting himself and calling him Sonic... but this isn't Sonic. This is the real propheticized Arthur... i really have to get into Arthurian history/stories...)
Lancelot was later "captured" and hypnotized (the quotes are because he was tricked and never realized he had been captured until tooooo late), so he wouldn't keep saying Arthur's name accidentally.
But then Sonic and Shadow arrive, and Sonic gets hit with such a familiar place (Camelot), and then sees a very VERY familiar face, and he calls Lance's real name and Lance is spooked and tries to fight him to know WHY this familiar random knows his name. AND- ;;
+ Eggman's shatter variant's name is Mr. Tinker ;) And he's genuinely kind.
Did someone say Sonic Restored #293 Preview Pages? No? Well here you go anyways!!! The Tokusatsu-inspired show may be a moneymaker, but Sonic's ego is not pleased by his portrayal (And if you think his reaction was bad wait until you see Eggman's).
But that's not all...
An issue with TWO stories for the price of one?! In this one we go back to the classic era to explore Sonic and Sally's still-developing? Sally doesn't quite know as she grapples with the mixed signals in "How He Is."

"Arcadia! Where is my son-!?" Aileen stops in her tracks.
A guard has told her her traitorous counsellor had returned and was waiting for her in the throne room. None of her royal guards knows how he managed to reach such a heavily protected place in the first place.
Her oldest daughter thinks the reason could have the same answer as to why the townspeople feel so... off.
Her oldest son grips his sword more tightly, as her twins freeze in place behind her, as she had done seconds earlier. The three of them are simmering with rage in place.
Arrow stands next to the throne. His tiny three-year-old body is tense, and his eyes stare far away, past them. The fact that he's still in the same position they found him in is horrifying in itself.
But that platypus had a knife on her youngest's tiny throat.
He sat there. In her throne. In her castle. Threatening the youngest prince's life.
She should have his head on a stick. Erase that satisfied smirk from that horrid face.
She doesn't. She can't.
She puts a hand up, stopping her twins in their tracks. We can't attack him with Arthur so vulnerable. Her action says.
Actually, I think that in Potemkin Village, X (Sonic) was captured very young by the Robotnik Crown (who took it from Sonic' mom, Queen idk, in Sonic Underground- yes I need to see that series sometime)
But like, very young. From three to five years old. Enough for X to lose hope of escaping and doing what he does best in this Shatterverse. Fake a smile.
Fakes feeling joy as he punches and aims for the kill even when his stomach twists. And tries to convince himself it's for survival. He needs to do it because everyone who enters the arena, knows he is one of the three real heirs to the throne.
Everyone who fights him wants to kill a prince.
And he won't let them.
King Robotnik, father of Ivo Robotnik, a little baby who loved to see him be kicked in the arena, raised him to know his faithful place. To know exactly what he is being denied of. And he won't let anyone take away anything more.
...
That baby has been lost for a month now. And X feels like going into a set of hysterical giggles when he realizes he's glad and relieved to not have to be tormented by a fucking one year old.
The jester attire he's forced to wear chimes with those annoying little bells, as he walks the castle's walls. The only status he has is this one.
For some reason, instead of being thrown into the lions, Robotnik has decided they wanted to make him learn exactly how to rule a kingdom.
Politics, economy. It was a pain to understand everything, but the alternative always was to return to the arena and expect to either be killed or kill first.
He was not eager to stain his ungloved hands red again.

The way I've already spoiled myself about the TADC final (haven't watched it, I'm scared lol) but I already have the hang of it...
