IT’S ACE WEEK!
Please if you are going through anything tough or need someone to talk to, reach out to someone! There are always people willing to listen and people who can help. You are loved, you have worth and you are not alone!
Here are some useful helplines and resources if you need them. Do not be afraid to ask for help! http://www.buddy-project.org/hotlines
Since there seems to be some confusion: "demisexual" does NOT mean "waiting to have sex"
It does not mean “deciding not to have sex with people you’re not dating”
It does not mean “deciding not to have sex before marriage”
It is literally not about sexual decisions at all.
Demisexuality is about attraction. Like asexuality.
People who are demisexual don’t experience sexual attraction to people they don’t know well.
This can make it hard for them to date because they don’t experience sexual attraction to strangers, so gauging sexual attraction can be difficult.
Demisexuality is real. It is valid. Do not erase the experiences of demisexual people. They do not need to be more oppressed than people of other orientations in order for their orientations and identities to be valid.
This. “Waiting for the right partner/time” is not the same thing as “I need to get to know you for a while before I even know if I feel attracted to you.”
Happy pride month to the aro/ace community!!
You are valid and you are allowed to celebrate pride like everyone else. Don’t let anyone tell you different
Happy June to All My Aromatic Aromantics!
[Caption: two images with soft, colorful backgrounds and text. The first says “Asexual is not another word for celibate” and the second says “Sex-favorable ace people are valid”]

National Coming Out Day is coming up (October 11) and I just want to remind everyone:
1) Please do not out anyone (even if you “think you are doing them a favor.” Trust me when I say you aren’t) and make sure you don’t accidentally do so.
2) It is okay to be in the closet. Please do not feel pressure to/obligated to come out because there so happens to be a Coming Out Day. (Do it for you if it’s what you want).
3) don’t “come out” as LGBT+ as a joke. Don’t “come out” as kinky/a furry/whatever, either.
4) Don’t force/coerce your friends and/or loved ones to come out, and do not get mad at them if they choose to stay closeted.
5) don’t come out as an ally
Prideful Plant Puns!!!
I’ve been working on these since pride month, and I feel bad they weren’t finished in time but I’m so happy with how they turned out! These basically happened because I called my best friend a lesbean-sprout and she loved it so much I decided to draw the first one, and things kinda,,, escalated.
I really hope you guys love them as much as I do!
They’re all available on my redbubble!!
Please don’t repost/steal!

IT’S ASEXUAL AWARENESS WEEK!
Go forth and awarify people!
To all our followers and fellow people within the ace community:
Don’t let anyone try and tell you that your sexuality isn’t real. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for coming out, either. You are who you are and there is nothing wrong with that! Just be yourself and don’t let anyone change that about you.
And just remember:
You are real.
It's not just a phase.
There are others like you.
You're not alone.

I've been going out with a straight guy for some months now, and it's my first relationship (and I am a virgin).I know that i'm in the ace spectrum, but the topic of having sex with him gives me anxiety. He respects my boundaries and if I turn out that I don't like sex he would be fine with it. Even so I want to try it, but as I said I'm terribly anxious about it. I don't like physical contact normally, and it's a long distance relationship at plus. Could you give me some advice? Thanks!
Communication is always key. You both should talk about boundaries and if you're uncomfortable with something happening at that time, don't hesitate to tell them to stop. I know you're anxious talking about sex but it is important to talk about it with your partner if you two decide to have a sexual relationship so take it slow until you get more comfortable with the topic. ~Dino
