No way, the feline was sure that he wasn’t followed into the library, so the other must’ve just noticed him. So… The guy must’ve just spaced out and was startled by the cyborg. Which felt even suspicious for some reason. The blue eyes looked at Shadow through the glasses sceptically. “Are you feeling well?”

Shadow’s ears twitch up as the silence of the library is broken, looking up from the book cover of said upside down book. He looked at the.. cat a few steps away from him, blinking slowly as his ear flicked in annoyance.

He looked. Tired, and a little ragged.

     “Do you always walk up to random strangers and criticize them, or am I just special?“

Was this another person with some weird.. grudge or vendetta against him? He doesn’t have the patience for something like that right now. He pinches the skin between his eyes and shuts them for a moment, letting out a weary sigh before turning back to his book and putting it back where he grabbed it from.

     “I’m tired. Take up whatever grievances you have with me with Sonic instead.”
