There was a moment of peace as Reina looked out into the horizon; few people came here being as this would be considered somewhere boring to the average human. Of course the loud sound of a crack in the distance forced her senses back into reality; she looked in the direction of the sound and she glared did this human think her stupid?
“It’s wasn’t.” She mumbled; honestly she didn’t care about the tree or the fact he broke it. Something that was already dead was pretty much useless anyways, and honestly it’d be better if it was gone. A dead tree could be replaced with a sapling and essentially be reborn.
“Why would you climb something that’s obviously falling apart? It’s as if you’re asking to break something.” Well whatever she was distracted now, and so she brought herself over to where he fell.
“It’s already dead, its not like you killed the thing.”
Ash shrank back. His little lies had been seen through and he didn’t really know how to respond. He was a bit sore from the fall, but it really could have been a lot worse. Mostly he was surprised by everything.
“Ah, yeah. Sorry. I was climbing the tree. I didn’t notice that it was dead and falling apart.” He looked back at the tree and saw at that point how brittle it was, and ready to break. “I’m kinda relieved I didn’t hurt it. Poor tree, though. I wonder how it died?”
He looked over at the other. “My name’s Ash. Are you in charge of the trees or something?”
