I woke up today and excitingly checked my phone wanting to see some more pictures of @taylorswift and fans at the Secret sessions last night. But as I scrolled Through my newsfeed my heart dropped as I heard about yet another mass shooting. It seems like I just heard about a mass shooting... which I did 6 days ago. It feels like this is a new “normal” in all of our lives. To think that a shooting could happen anywhere/ any place is so crazy to me. I always heard about mass shootings but I never in a million years thought it would happen to me. And now every time I hear about another mass shooting... it just hits so freaking close to home. It brings back all the emotions. It brings back all the fears. After route 91 (Vegas mass shooting) I swore I couldn’t go to a concert again. I swore I couldn’t be around lots of people again.

But somehow I did that Reputation Tour 22 freaking times. And honestly I was scared. I was so freaking scared. And admitting that is so hard for me because I tried so hard to put on a brave face. Knowing that this shooting happened at a freaking WALMART. Like what??? I can’t stop thinking about the Walmart employees AT WORK when the shooting happened. Or the families who were at Walmart back to school shopping. Or the ones who got shot. The ones who watched others get shot. Or the family and friends at home who are about to find out that their friend was at Walmart when they were killed.

These people are going to be effected by this for the rest of their lives. And unlike me,who could chose whether or not I wanted to attend a concert again.. the Walmart workers will eventually have to go back to work and the children will eventually have to go back to school. And knowing first hand the fear that they will carry with them just breaks my heart💔( ps. I feel weird posting this pic of me smiling on tour with this caption- I just didn’t know what pic to post, posting about my thoughts and feelings help me “talk” my way through my emotions- and I know this is just my fan account but you all get me-thanks for hearing me) @taylorswift @taylornation
