Beautiful. I need to expand my collection
My latest creation - North Is. Kokako. Acrylic on canvas. My first canvas of 2020!
I haven't been very active recently, I applogize. 2019 was a great year for me overall, but I am still sad I lost a good friend. I do hope they are doing well. Having autism can make maintaining friendships difficult when it can be hard for me to express myself properly, but I am trying my best to be a better friend to people.
Speaking of, I might make my blog a lil' different - maybe speak openly about being autistic. A lot of people have misconceptions regarding the diagnosis, and might not understand how autistics are different. It could be a neat opportunity to educate others and to me that sounds awesome.
One of my 2020 resolutions is to try communicate better with others because of this experience.
Studying anatomy of birds and mammals.
How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist.

Going over some tetrapod notes before my biology lab tomorrow. Of course I also have a nice brew of fruit tea!
your life can look so different, so much better, in just a few months. keep going.
Hello, it’s been a long time!
I haven’t posted any of my notes from this semester yet. So here are some of my business notes. I’m just using a simple notebook, pens, and a few highlighters for my notes this semester. No special system or fancy decoration or headings. Let’s be real, I’m in my final year and am just tired, unbothered, and ready to finish. So let’s be simple and get the job done👏🏻
Spending my Sunday afternoon finishing off my ecology field work report. Will be going to see Jane Gooddall tonight!
Learning that it’s better to not have any friends, then having friends that secretly don’t support you.

One of an estimated 350 Takehe left in the world. Spotted at ZEALANDIA Ecosanctuary.
Processing the lichen specimens I collected on my field excursion to the Mojave Desert. My very first specimens being deposited into the lichen herbarium, or any herbarium for that matter. I am mounting the specimens now, but soon I will sequence their DNA. I also found the tiny Syntrichia caninervis moss tucked in the rock grains of one of the samples - a delightful surprise.
Lichens are so interesting.
