Russian bombardments and fighting continue throughout Ukraine sending people fleeing for safety. According to the UN, more than half a million refugees from Ukraine have crossed into the neighboring countries of Poland, Slovakia and Romania. The rush of people trying to leave has led to hours-long lines at some of these borders.

For those of you have been understandably avoiding the news due to everything going on in the world, here’s a quick summary of what is going on:
The bad news is that Russia has invaded Ukraine.. The good news is that, under the heroic leadership of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the people are fighting back in an extremely effective manner. All of Ukraine is under martial law and, while some families are understandably fleeing the chaos, anyone who can fight back is fighting back.
It’s not just Ukraine, either. Inspired by President Zelensky’s bravery, the entire planet is giving Russia a hard time. Sanctions have been placed. Entire websites have been crashed. Many countries are sending aid to Ukraine in the form of weapons and money. Even Russia’s allies are finding excuses to not help out.
When something is this big that even Switzerland (Switzerland!) is participating, I have no choice but to sit up and take notice. My followers have likely taken note of the fact that I have not been posting a lot lately; I’ve just been so disheartened by the state of the world that I saw no point in trying. But with Ukraine standing up to Russia, I want to lend my support in any way I can. We are very far away from Ukraine, and we don’t have any civilians who are strong enough to join the fight, but know this: we’re with you, Ukraine. If any Ukrainian refugees find their way to the United States, but can’t find a home, the Republic of Sane-ia will welcome you. We will ensure that you get a roof over your head, enough food for your whole family, and your choice of COVID vaccine if you are not already vaccinated. In the meantime, we will not be buying any Russian products or supporting any Russian businesses. (Side note to any Russian civilians reading this: it’s nothing personal. We just can’t stand what your government is doing anymore.)

I emailed the Orange Shirt Society and within an hour got a reply that they haven't been in contact with the clothing company Alsiee and these designs are FUCKING STOLEN FROM THEM!
Not only are they exploiting a dark time for all NA Indig people, they're lying about giving a portion of the sales to the charity they stole the designs from! AND TUMBLR IS GIVING THEM A PLATFORM! It took me one goddamn email and less than an hour to verify that these are RACIST FUCKING ADS.
