Another brainwashed reiji hcs where the sudden influx of his memories returning causes him to faint on the battlefield and remain unconscious for days(but make it more angsty this time)
I kinda feel like it'd be similar to this , just with the added drama of everyone not being sure if he had his memories back and/or what his allegiances were...
Daisuke was loathed to do it, but he agreed with the others when they said they should assume he'd be hostile and take the precautions so he doesn't hurt anyone. They restrained him with padded cuffs, not tight enough to really restrict his movements or hurt him but tight enough that he couldn't suddenly grab somebody.
Daisuke would be working himself into the ground even more, because not only did he have to figure out how to wake Reiji, but also to find a way to restore his memories. There were a few times they had to sedate him because he hadn't slept in over a day.
A few days in, Reiji had healed enough so that while he still was unconscious physically, he could hear everything happening around him. It was like he was having an out-of-body experience, able to know everything that was going on even though he couldn't physically interact with anything or anyone.
He hated that they talked about him like he was one of the bad guys they fought, that they had to worry about him not being in the right mind and that he'd hurt any of them. He hated hearing everyone coming in and talking to him and not being able to respond, whether it was Koto telling him that she didn't want to lose her "aniki", or Kunai being angry he went off on his own, or Setsuna saying he has to wake up so he could try the ridiculous somen anpan thing they cooked up.
The worst part was hearing Daisuke. Whether he was listening to Daisuke himself berating him for his recklessness or crying about how he just wished Reiji would wake up already... or hearing the others talk about how exhausted and miserable he seemed and how worried they were about how Daisuke would break if Reiji didn't wake up and remember...
If only he could wake up already, if only he could just open his eyes and tell them he remembered, if only he could say with his own voice that he was the Reiji they all knew, if only he could call Daisuke by that nickname again and tell him...!
Reiji fought through the fog, day by day, trying to will himself back to consciousness. He knew it was working because the others noticed little movements- a finger twitching, his brows scrunching, lips moving as if he were trying to say something.
Then, a week and a half after his mind woke, as Reiji listened to the sounds of Daisuke puttering about in his room, Reiji finally broke through the block, his body catching up with his mind at last. Reiji woke with a gasp, startling Daisuke into dropping his tablet, and he tried to get up only to be stopped by the restraints they put on him.
Daisuke stared at him cautiously, but all he had to do was call him Taisa, then he was stumbling forward hastily undoing the restraints before catching Reiji as he flopped over. Daisuke started weeping in joy, hugging him tightly, while Reiji rest his chin on Daisuke's shoulder, then whispered in his ear as everyone started coming in, somehow alerted to Reiji's awakening.
Daisuke let out a laugh as he pulled back so the others could have their turn to fuss and cry over Reiji too. Just before he did, he managed to whisper back, "I love you too, you big lug."
Okay but what if Reiji was put into a coma after a defeat and Shout somehow ends up caring for him when Daisuke and the others arrives

Daisuke was absolutely losing it with worry, but he swallowed it down as he barked orders at everyone, getting whatever equipment they need to scan and treat Reiji and making him more comfortable. They brought him up on the Cosmo Gavarion, then retreated temporarily beyond Earth so they wouldn't have to deal with the Ibaru Alliance, leaving Shout and co. to deal with them until Reiji awoke.
They set up a vigil so they could take turns taking care of Reiji and making sure he doesn't deteriorate while in the coma (checking him for bed sores, exercising his muscles, stuff like that). AGI, Kiki and Koto worked tirelessly to treat his injuries, but while he was physically fine, he still wasn't waking up days later. It was like his mind had shut down and refused to start back up. It was starting to worry everyone.
Daisuke, too, was starting to worry them. He refused to leave Reiji's room entirely- he had his meals there, had a cot set up in the room so he could sleep there, had AGI download all the data and research he was doing onto tablets he used by Reiji's bedside, and insisted on doing things like bathing Reiji on his own (though they suspected that last part was less due to his reluctance to leave Reiji and more due to him not wanting anyone but himself to see Reiji naked). He even started talking to Reiji, not like he was just telling him things but like Reiji was actually responding to him.
A few nights into the coma, Daisuke was wide awake at an unholy hour, reading some more research about comas despite his eyes getting blurry from tiredness. Rui, who'd been the one assigned to watch over Reiji (and Daisuke) for the night, was dozing in the cot he usually used, while he was on a couch with an ottoman extending it so he could put up his legs. He put away his tablet, and started talking to Reiji, softly to try not rousing Rui.
"Hey, Reiji? Why won't you wake up? We all miss you... I miss you," he confessed in Reiji's ear. "I don't know how much longer I can take this... I'm a total mess without you. You were missing for so long, and now this... just come back to me, please..." On a whim, thinking he might regret it later, Daisuke placed an innocent kiss on the corner of Reiji's mouth, then he cried himself to sleep for the nth time since they found Reiji.
Daisuke woke up hours later to a flurry of noise and activity, with Rui shaking him awake. Reiji had woken up, but he was disoriented and confused and lashing out at everyone who came close, even AGI, and he was trying to unhook himself from the equipment that was keeping him healthy.
Daisuke jumped up and immediately went to Reiji's side. Reiji blinked at him, managing to whisper "Taisa?" hoarsely, before he flopped into Daisuke's arms, all the manic energy he had disappearing immediately.
Daisuke got him settled back on his bed so AGI could perform scans on him, holding onto one of Reiji's hands to reassure him. Reiji was given a clean bill of health, though he still need some time to fully recover. Reiji was up and about in two days, but it was another week before he was medically cleared to resume Gavan activities. They returned to Earth, just in time to lend a hand as Shout and his friends faced the Ibaru Alliance once more.
Much later on, Kiki thought to look into Reiji's records to try and figure out what woke him from the coma. She looked at Reiji's vital signs and the ECG readings, identified the time when they started to improve from comatose to normal levels... then she thought to look at the security footage from that night. Needless to say, what she found floored her.
Funny idea: Haruto tries one of Shunpeiโs new rings except this ring causes everyone in its vicinity to fall in love with the ring bearer so now Haruto is currently chased by the entire population of Tokyo which includes his friends the other riders and the monsters to be love crazy with him. After hours of being chased he is able to escape to a secluded space while trying to figure out a solution. Thankfully Mai who was able to feel a disturbance on earth from hellheim saw what was happening and used her powers to reverse the ringโs magic effects as Kouta was on earth for a rider hangout. How would the other riders react to this after being brought back to their senses and what happens next?

He got obsessed with it thanks to Haruto, who mentioned it being his hobby back when they first met.
Needless to say, Shoutaro had about two weeks of Philip spouting random game statistics, watching games, buying jersies and other merch, trying to play football indoors (it does not end well, predictably) and trying to procure tickets to see a game live.
By the next time they met up with Haruto Philip had all but forgotten that he was even interested in it and he hadn't even a qualm when Shoutaro offloaded all the football paraphernalia onto a very baffled Haruto.
Angsty idea: Ibaru Alliance connected to Aza Zoth and theyโre slowly corrupting Reiji and when Daisuke finds out heโs horrified
I don't think anyone wouldn't be horrified when they find out that's what happened to Reiji... The Gavans would prob need to kick his ass back to sanity ๐ญ Maybe another Emotional Burst could knock all that corruption outta him...
Ha! I didnโt actually come up with this. Mike, Tim, Josh, and Katie named it after me and my propensity for raw vegan smoothies. Iโll have to try this particular recipe, though I will likely throw a banana or two in there.
Scenario: Reiji just hanging out with Shout post rescue of him and Reiji just keeps telling stories about his adventures as Gavan and his allies, especially Daisuke (possibly lovely dovey style). Eventually, when the others come to pick him up, Reiji introduces Daisuke as his friend and Shout just confusedly asks โwaitโฆ youโre not a couple?โ
Imagine Reiji being totally clueless when he talks about Daisuke with a goofy, lovesick smile and glazed eyes and not even noticing that he refers to him as "his Taisa" and whining about how much he misses him and how much he wants to see him again while Shout and Giriko roll their eyes and the twins snicker and Enkaku just looks at him with a knowing smirk
When Daisuke gets introduced to them as his best friend, none of them let Reiji get away with his pining.
Shout: What do you mean he's just your best friend?! You talk about him like the sun shines outta his ass!
Giriko: You talked about his cute face for an hour straight and he's not even your boyfriend? Get outta here!!
Ail: You were talking about "your Taisa" like how our schoolmates would talk about their oshi or something!
All: You even make a stupid face when you talk about how smart he is and how he saved you tons of times!
Enkaku: I would've thought that you belonged to him, with how your ego is so consumed by his...
Daisuke just blinks at them, trying (and failing) to process what he'd just been told... while Reiji is practically melting from embarrassment lol
(Meanwhile the Gavan crew are sighing in relief... Maybe these two will finally get their shit together and Daisuke can stop his pining too!!)
If anything, I want My-Th to have good โHeated Drama between Menโ. After all, his past shows have the good stuff (Joe and Marvelous were good vibes, the infamous Ban and Hoji being partners, and we pretty much know Yusuke and Ichijou were the original toku Gays)
Someone made a post with a photo of Yuna dragging Sora and Tatsuomi (the tutor) along somewhere and I said, "Wow, they already look like two gay dads being dragged somewhere by their daughter... and I probably sunk the ship just by saying that lol"
