And listed on said obituary is the address of the funeral home.

I really hope our community respects this, and lets Mark and Cyndago, along with Daniel’s family, grieve in peace. They do not need a bunch of fans coming to the funeral. We can pay our respects at a distance, not be right up in their business.

This. Blackface is deliberate mockery involving dark paint and ugly stereotypes about black people.. A cosplay that included paint of a natural colour isn’t deliberate mockery. Y’all would have thrown a shitfit and called her racist even if she went with her natural skin colour, because half of the fandom is trying to pound into people’s heads that Garnet is black despite that Sugar herself said there are no races AND policing who can or can not cosplay someone. 

The cosplayer clearly loves Garnet. You’re angry at her response and deliberately twisting her words (”she said she’s going to keep doing blackface” when she said she’ll paint her skin differently) because you want her to quit.
