Almost ALL of my experiences came from meditation habits and the way I could calm my brain (during meditative state). Just not even an hour ago (it's nighttime for me after midnight rn) I was listening to a shifting subliminal, and I was slightly drowsy, supine position, and I saw a verrryyy brief dream. How to induce sleep paralysis for Void State & Shifting? by Hélèn.

hey Ladies & Gentlemen. Today im presenting to uou; how to induce sleep paralysis 100% foolproof method (sounds just like a telecommerical lmao) from a certified insomniac. (im awake for so long that i legit started to see furnitures moving) This actually wanted by an anon from my ask but to the guy/girl who sent me that..uh..i accidentally deleted your ask but donr you worry, youre looking at what youve asked for! So yeah long story short, these are foolproof CAUSE youre actually using your BIOCHEMISTRY as a pretty little human being and learn why these work. Let me introduce you to a few new terms, if youre unfamiliar with sleep cycles, sleep hormones, and othe biologic mechanisms. ive done my search well, as always. 😩😮💨😽🫦
First of all, theres something called a ''REM debt''. So you might ask me, ''Helene, tf is a rem?'' well, it stands for ''Rapid Eye Movement.'' Aka, a stage of sleep. It's the stage of sleep where ur eyes move rapidly, even when closed, and the brain is most active. You experience almost all of ur dreams during this stage. The brain processes, organizes, and stores info you learnt during the day in this phase. Etc etc. so for short, its what we call a regular sleep where you see ur dreams. Alright lets move onto the Rem debt again, its simple. Means you should get at least 2-3 hours of night sleep. Without WBTB, triggering this requires sliiiightly disrupting the brain and body's biochemical balance, particularly the melatonin and cortisol cycle. cuz u have to release these hormones.
Actually yeah, u can trigger this night time aka the first REM (not deep sleep, the actual dreaming phase) and it has a few ways. Firs lay down on a starfish (supine) position, and if u ask me why is ts position particularly? Pretty scientific. When u lie on your back, ur tongue is more likely to fall back, which can slightly hinder breathing. Your big beautiful brain perceives this slight shortness of breath as a "threat" and tries to wake you up suddenly. However, cuz ur body is in deep REM sleep, ur muscles remain locked, and you suddenly wake up in sleep paralysis. Et voilà. Also..the position might not be enough so..u should consider disrupting ur ''Circadian Rhythm'' and provide excessive fatigue.
The thing that leaves ur brain most helpless is the clash between ur excessively tired body and your overactive mind. Ruin your sleep schedule (worth it), sleeping very little during the week,, sleeping until noon on weekends, or constantly changing sleep schedules, etc etc, disrupts your circadian rhythm (aka what we call our biological clock). AND, when your bodys physically exhausted, ur brain may want to jump directly to the deepest stages or directly to REM the moment you lie down in bed (aka, ''REM rebound effect''). If your mind dosent completely shut down while the body locks up quickly, you may experience (hypnagogique) paralysis at the moment of falling asleep. These help you induce natural sleep paralysis 100%!!!!!
Aaaand the popular WILD technique yall probably heard of before. Ts is actually the first stage of the WILD (wake initiated lucid dream) technique, used to directly transition into lucid dreaming. The goal is to observe ur body falling asleep without ever losing consciousness. such a challange rigth? Lie on ur back, it's basically just keeping your body completely still while waiting for sleep to come. Focus on the shapes behind your eyelids or keep a steady rhythm in your mind (or count your breaths omg idk it works). Before falling asleep, ur body performs a "heyyy dude, are we awake?" test. Your nose may itch, you may feel the urge to swallow, or you may feel the urge to change position. You must completelyyyyy ignore all these urges and not move at all. If you do it, your body will fall asleep and lock the muscles, but your consciousness will remain awake. (GOLD STATEEEE)
i actually recommend staying up until the morning cuz like i said..YOUR REM DEBT!! you actually NEED that REM debt, but tyr not to go completely zombie. (i feel like a zomb rn) If u lack too much of sleep, your brain might force you into deep non REM sleep first to heal ur body, which we DONT want. We want that sweet lil REM Rebound state right away! (where lucid dreams and most of my shifting experiences happenned naturally) Your bodys biological clock releases melatonin in the evenings and cortisol (the wakey wakeyyyy / stress hormone) in the early mornings. The moments when these two hormones overlap are the most fertile ground for sleep paralysis.
tHATS EXACTLY WHY daytime naps could be IT! Its much easier to trigger sleep paralysis during a 30-45min nap in the afternoon (between like.. 2 to 4pm) or late afternoon, rather than at night. Cuz again, during the day, your cortisol and alertness levels are already high (its easy for the mind to stay awake), but ur body, exhausted from lack of sleep, quickly switches to sleep mode. While the mind says, "dawg i need to stay hormonally awake during the day," the body says, "no im leaving," and sleep paralysis occurs.
now, lastly. Its also a clever but a tad risky (guarantee sleep paralysis) ''method'': There are certain foods and habits that directly affect ur body chemistry and sharpen REM sleep....hell yeah..Heavy and carbohydrate /tryptophhan rich dinners. Eating something heavy, carbohydrate rich, or containing tryptophan (like bananas, dairy, turkey etc etc) 1,5-2hrs before bed creates a sudden sleep pressure. This quickly pulls your body down, making it difficult for the brain to truly fall into a deep and peaceful sleep because the digestive system is working. (evil laugh) Caffeine timing is also essential, folks, consuming it apprx 1,5-2hrs before bedtime makes it ''not fully eliminated from the body'' when u go to bed. Youre caught on that fine line between caffeine trying to keep ur mind awake and blocking adenosine receptors, and physical fatigue taking over and locking up your body.

how to turn sleep paralysis into shifting/ void state. a basic guide.
Hey yall me again. 👋🏻 i was actually going to answer some asks (i see ya babies pleasseee wait i'll probably post tomorrow) but my space was officially on maintenance. (ive edited my older posts cause obv i adopted a brand neeww aesthetic.) some of yall silly byatches insisted on my asks. again.. i know..i know.. HOW TO INDUCE VOID FASTEST DOT COM! orrrr TELL ME THE EASIEST WAY OF SHIFTING RAAAHHH!! even tho i have a detailed sleep paralysis post, (two actually) this post and this post... BUT, i remembered that i was indeed going to share how to turn sleep paralysis into void state/ shifting. anyways lets get into it. 🫨
Start with reality check. Immediate. When you realize you can't move, do not fight it!!! Fighting will trigger adrenaline, which will wake your body up completely or induce fear hallucinations. (warning. but this is HARMLESS. please stay calm) Remind yourself by affirming: My body is safe, my mind is awake, and this is exactly what i wanted.
DO NOT open ur eyes. First 10 to 20 secs. (but do not count time!!!)if your eyes are open, close them. It should shut out your current room and prevent you from seeing any visual distortions your brain might try to cook up. Focus entirely on the heavy, tingling, or vibrating sensation in your limbs. Let it consume your awareness.
And..shift your focus to your DR. The transition phase, STOP thinking bout your physical body or the bed you are lying on. Start micro focusing on your DR. Induce the sensory experience rather than listing facts. What does the air smell like there? Is it cold or warm ? what kinda surface are you lying on in your DR?
Affirm. Affirm without breaking the focus until u feel like ur environment changes, this should be the FINAL PUSH. stay calm dont freak out (this is literally what i experienced in my first two mini shifts, i freaked out and broke the paralysis INTENTIONALLy cause i was scared. DO NOT repeat my mistake.) Begin repeating short, intense affirmations in your mind (for ex "i am in my DR" or "i have shifted") Cause your brain should be in a deeply suggestible state, LOA works incredibly fast there. Keep going until the heavy paralysis feeling fades and is completely replaced by the physical environment of your DR.
if yall get scared of the hallucinations; like if you hear weird noises (static, whispers, loud bangs etc, very common) or feel a presence, its just hypnagogic imagery,literally just your brain dreaming while your eyes are open. It cannot touch you!!!! and it has zero power over your ability to shift. Treat it like background static on a radio alrigth. Aaaand, if you feel stuck or find your thoughts drifting back to your bedroom, use vortex aggression. Imagine spinning your awareness in a rapid circle inside ur own mind while focusing on the DR anchor. The spinning sensation will completely disrupt ur inner ear signals keeping you tethered to your physical bed, forcing a quick transition. (think of like getting nauseated during car rides, it happens cuz ur brain cant phsyically balance, same logic)
AS FOR VOID, LOGIC IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME. SLIGHT CHANGES SUCH AS;
Instead of focusing on your DR surroundings you do the exact opposite by focusing on sinking backwards into nothingness. (ts is literally what void state is, nothingness) When the para hits close your eyes and imagine yourself letting go and falling backward into a deep, quiet ocean of pitch black space. Disregard the heavy feeling of your limbs. Affirm, "im pure consciousness, detached from my body." Within a few seconds, the heavy, static feeling of the para will completely snap away, leaving you floating in the absolute quiet of the void!!!! Once youre in the void, you dont even have to fight to shift! You simply state your intent ''oh lord whhen i wake up i am in my DR'', and cause there is zero physical distraction holding you back, your subconscious will accept it immediately!!

The easiest method you’ll ever know (SUPER DUPER EASY)
Elo shiftblr 🙋🏽♀️ CB back again with a rather shocking post . You all know that I’m super against methods . Like I consider them the bane of shifter existence. Not because they’re “bad” or “don’t work” but because the community has made them into this god tier level piece of work that only creates unnecessary work for newbies . It’s taken me years to shift. Now that I’ve done it like a kajillion times I’ve finally realized that everything we do is a god damn menthol whether we like it or not so we might as well embrace them . Intelligently, though.
Tons of people have been asking me about how I shift, when I shifted, my success story, etc etc and well here’s the post ! Not my success story tho , it’s coming i promise !!!!
Side note: this method is not the only method that you can shift with. None of the steps are required nor the end all be all. If you’d like to substitute a step with something else, go ahead! It’s your life and at the end of the day you will only ever shift if you do it naturally, by your own means.
Anyway, this method is insanely easy! It’s literally the most basic of all methods and requires just a few things
REQUIREMENTS
1. PATIENCE! this is the most important thing YOU MUST HAVE! It doesn’t matter if you spiraled five minutes before reading this or haven’t tried in months. What you do NOW is all that matters. Your mindset is your truth. If you are having trouble with the LOA, then this might not be the one for you. No worries!
2. Get comfortable. For me personally, I love shifting in my own space where I’m alone bc it gives me the ability to focus on me and only me. Bonus points if it’s quiet!
THE METHOD:
1) Meditate.
. Yes I know! Boooo meditation! The devil of the shifting community 🥲🥲 unfortunately for most of you this is like the second most important step! You are probably battling your doubts and fears. If you’re like me, you know you can shift but you just feel like you’re stuck fighting your own head. This is the solution babes!!!!
Meditation doesn’t have to be a big performative ahh ceremony either. Just sit, breathe, and tell yourself that you are calm. That’s all I do and I feel so so so much better after.
You don’t have to meditate and shift, you can just meditate, but when I meditate it usually leads to shifting… so do with that what you will ! Anyway, it’s good for you! And necessary for this method !!
So boom, you’re sitting calm and cool. At this point, you might start seeing colors and shit behind your lids. Cool !! You’re 50% done ✅ awesome! You might be feeling bored now, wondering when it’s gonna happen and if you should just give up. This is where major patience is needed.
2) destroy your ego.
Sounds fucking scary ik! It can be when the realization that everything that has ever stopped you from getting what you want derives from this. The ego. A part of your subconscious mind that holds your beliefs, doubts, fears, flaws, etc. Everyone has doubts about shifting, and they likely show up when you’re trying and give up. For this method, no matter what you do, DO NOT GIVE IN! I repeat: DO NOT GIVE INNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!! If you must stop meditating, let it be for something you gotta do, a responsibility you must fulfill. Do NOT stop just because you are letting your doubts tell you to. They are lying dead in yo face.
3) Connect to your DR.
If you’re trying to shift, this is when you can start visualizing or affirming if that works for you. For me personally, visualizing works even tho I feel like I suck at it 🥲 I usually visualize with five senses, typically touch or eating . I’m always eating LMFAO. I love when the visualization starts and I forget that I’m in my CR! Most times my DR senses start to pick up before the shift even happens! It's either phantom touching or i straight up blink and im in my DR. If you just want to practice, document which senses shift first! Its' fun!
This also may be applied to any other OOBE ! If you want to AP, LD, or idfk go into the void or wtv, this is the part where you start to place your awareness on that. This is the core of shifting. Once you detach from your CR space / body, it’s much easier to have a OOBE. Calmer thoughts / deflated ego = reality detachment. Do this for as long as you have to, but try not to measure time because that will only ground you in this reality more.
(EDIT 3/30: i've realized that if you're truly deep into this state then time literally stops existing. Its like you close your eyes thinking no time passed and then you check and its like half n hour!)
If you must, measure time in how long you’ve shifted, not how long you’ve been trying in your CR. Your ego will try to check and it may feel very strong, but you just have to keep going bestie. I know how it feels. It sucks. You wanted to shift instantly like yesterday, but trust me all it takes is a little faith and then your whole life is changed 🩷
There are no more steps! By this point, I’ve shifted. It works every time! This method only “fails” when you give up.

HI SHIFTBLR! I'm back with a big post.
So, I've been on tiktok lately and i've been seeing a lot a lot a LOT of people talking about how to awake shift and it really inspired me to speak on my experience because i don't really see that many people share their awake shifting experiences in detail.
Just for context, I use my own method to awake shift. It's fairly easy. All it takes is patience and some free time, that's all.
There's this girl on tiktok named Kas who PERFECTLY encapsulated my METHOD in a video but in way better words. She defined shifting as DISCONNECTION, IDENTIFICATION, AND RECONNECTION! That is exactly it! Most people get stuck on Disconnection and give up. I often get really bored before this part but trust me that's just your ego trying to stop you! Don't ever listen! You could live your dream life rn babes why would you quit?!?
So, THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO SHIFT WHILE AWAKE:
I meditate by breathing in like 2-5 times, sometimes i do it for longer but i find that if i do it for too long, i end up falling asleep. This step is important but it shouldn't be overdone because your body isn't even needed to shift.
i immediately start on DISCONNECTION. I tell myself "I am disconnected from my current reality. I am not this body / vessel" until i start to feel a little floaty.
After feeling floaty, i'm still feeling connected to my CR but i kinda ignore it and just skip straight to connecting to my DR SELF via identity affirmations.
Usually at this point i start to visualize where i'll wake up and sometimes i get so deep in it that i dont even have to do CONNECTION because i'll start hearing stuff from my DR or feeling stuff. Like if i'm petting my cat, i'll subtly feel her fur but like in my CR if that makes sense?? It's like i can FEEL it as my DR self but my CR self is feeling the sensations. I actually hate this because it feels like a game of cat n fucking mouse. Like whats the point of that "phantom" ass feeling? Just shift and feel it for real lmaoo!!
I'm going to try to explain this as best i can: When I shift while awake, it's lik the reality fades in. Like, I'm in my CR doing affs, and then all of a sudden i'm in my DR. . . there is no distinction of travel between the two. i'm just here one moment and then the next im in my DR. I can never predict the exact moment because it just happens and im not even really paying attention when it does. I just notice that i'm there, yk?
lately i've been getting bored after the feelings stop, so i just kinda give up :/ but i still hear stuff from my DR so i count that as a partial shift, aka shifting regardless!!!

the point is that IT FUCKING WORKS (for me this time at least yk yk)
last night i slept with this on next to me until my phone died, no headphones. before falling asleep I lied on my back and felt like I was floating for a moment.
then I fell asleep and had a normal dream in which I was with a friend in school, then we walked into some sewerage and he disappeared.
I got so scared because the place was so sketchy and backroom-like so I started looking for him in desperation. I kinda knew it was a dream because its not unusual for me to have backroom dreams, so it turned into a lucid dream once I realized I could turn this place into somewhere I liked.
The place became some sort of hotel reception or idk what to call it but it was nice and it had an outdoor patio. I walked around and grounded myself by rubbing my hands together and touching stuff around me, and it became really vivid but I woke up anyway. I think the audio was still playing so I fell asleep again and went back to the lucid dream. There was a man looking for me and I made him dissappear into a corner cuz I didnt know what he wanted and it made me uneasy. I had a hard time trying to make my friends appear tho. I had the intention to shift in the dream but it felt out of reach at the moment, like the dream was too unstable and I didn't know how to make it into a shifting opportunity.
but hey, I did remember my intention, something I struggled with every time I had a lucid dream before.

i get symptoms, hit hypnagogia, wait for shift to happen... BUT NOTHING HAPPENS
1- When your body goes numb and you start affirmations, doesn't a voice secretly whisper inside "omg, numbness has started… Ok, im doing affirmations now… am i shifting now? Will the lights flash? When will i transition?" That's exactly when the left brain (logic and analysis) kicks in. The moment you start controlling the process, analyzing "is it happening? is it working?", your brain receives the signal, "i must stay awake, we're performing a task!!!!" Therefore, you can neither enter the complete release phase necessary for shifting nore allow your brain to fall asleep. You remain locked in limbo.
2- If you repeat affirmations one after another automatically, like reciting a memorized lesson, your mind will eventually get bored but continue to stay awake. The important thing isn't to parrot the words, but to capture the feeling and energy those words create. Shifting is triggered not by the words themselves, but by the emotional state behind them. (thus not the intention but expectation)
3- When you reach the numbness stage, you might only focus on affirmations and remain focused on the physical world (that you're lying in this room, that your body is numb). The moment symptoms begin, you need to completely "forget" your body in this room. Your focus should not be on your numb body, but on your five senses in the place you want to go: where will you wake up there? What does the room smell like? What is the texture of the sheets? (i talked about this in various other posts)
4- If you experience this blockage while trying awake methods, switch to sleep methods. The goal shouldn't be to shift, but to start with the mindset of, "im going to do my affirmations and then completely fall asleep." When you set the intention to fall asleep and let your mind relax, the left brain lets go of its inhibitions, and the transition becomes much easier.
5- When the numbness comes say "ok everything's great so far, im leaving the rest to my mind," and slowly reduce the affirmations, focusing only on the feeling of where you want to go, that peace. The moment you catch yourself forcing things, take a deep breath and relax.
Remember, even catching that numbness is a huge achievement meditatively. You just need to loosen that desire to achieve and control a little. Go with the flow... lucid dreamers, you probably have a certain level of mental comfort now regarding LD. You think "since i can do it, i'll just go with the flow," you remove your left brain from the equation, and you instantly enter that phase. Our brain is a very protective organ, programmed for survival. It knows the limits of LD very well, that its safe, and that you'll eventually wake up in your own bed. That's why it allows you to go. However, since shifting is theoretically "going to a completely different reality, an entirely different place and body," no matter how much you want to, deep down in your subconscious, that primitive brain (amygdala) might be applying a slight defense. Especially if you have fears of great emptiness and loss of control (like megalophobia and thalassophobia) your brain might be keeping your left brain constantly awake to prevent you from taking that unknown final step in order to protect you. i yapped a lot anywayzz bye
⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ 𓂃 you’re trying to feel your dr with your cr senses
⠀a lengthy shifting guide
why is it so hard to shift from your cr to your dr but not so much vice versa? you’ve spent the first large chunk of your life believing this reality to be the full extent and foundation of existence. even if you now logically understand this not to be the case, the years spent curating and deepening a mental, emotional, and physical anchor to this reality has warped your perception of reality and instilled in to you the subconscious idea that your cr is the default. and in treating it as the default, the end all be all, and in compromising with it, you reinforce the idea that you are attached or stuck here—that it is even a place to get stuck in in the first place. not only do you trap yourself in this reality and grant it power over you that it does not actually have, you start viewing your cr as the “starting point” too, and shifting as some form of transportation from point A to point B. accompanying this belief is an imagined distance created between your current reality and desired reality. you might’ve already recognised this in yourself; the feeling that your dr is somehow faraway, a place that needs to be travelled to.
it’s important to make and internalise the distinction between a shift in realities as an act of metaphysical travel, and a shift in realities as a shift in focus. imo the former is a much better descriptor for what shifting actually is in essence. i will go into more depth later, but a byproduct of being raised the way you were, growing up knowing nothing but your cr and rooting & centring yourself wholly (confined) within it, is the over identification you end up developing with your cr self. you are not living reality, you are watching it. but after years of the constant unbroken immersion, the two become almost impossible to distinguish. you define yourself by and take on as if they were your own the thoughts and identity and feelings of the “vessel” you are observing, and let them dictate how you experience reality. the lines begin to blur between you; your cr self, and you; your awareness/the observer.
feel your hand. don’t touch it, but notice it’s weight and temperature, or the air around it. now feel the feeler. can you feel yourself? or your body, maybe? now go a step further and feel the one feeling. you probably aren’t fully able to, but this is the observer. “the observer”, or the state of being after breaking the immersion, is you in your natural or purest state. it has also been described as pure awareness, the void state, ego death, sakshi, the self, anatta, and interpreted in different ways across a multitude of different religions and branches of spirituality & philosophy, all used as a means to an end for different things. fyi—i’m not saying you have to completely forsake your cr identity or start ignoring/dismissing your senses or thoughts to shift, just understand that those things don’t define you or your reality. the means to the end here is just getting a point across and hopefully helping improve with the approach you take to shifting. all of this to say, you’re not travelling from point A to point B. point A and B are not places you can (technically) even travel to or exist in, because you’re just watching/observing/being aware of. shifting is not the transportation of a self from one location to another. shifting is simply changing what is focused on/experienced; from one stream of experience to another. a shift in focus.
to summarise, you as in your ego, the you in this cr as you know it, your body, your brain, your thoughts, your identity, don’t actually go or shift anywhere. you, your awareness, in favour of perceiving you, your cr self, the one sat at your computer or phone or whatever reading this right now, starts perceiving a different you/ego/self—one that could have the exact same personality, memories, and thoughts, just in another realty, or one that is a different person entirely. there is only a change or “shift” for the observer, not the cr self or ego. so stop trying to feel your dr with your cr senses. you’re not going to. you’re so immersed in your cr and cr self that you automatically rely on this reality’s bodies’ senses to gauge your success when you try to shift, waiting for your cr self to get a cue that it’s never going to get. the surroundings your cr self feels aren’t going to go anywhere. nor are your senses going to shut off. your cr body will continue to receive sensory information, because that’s what bodies do. so don’t lie there expecting your bedsheets to disappear or magically warp into your dr surroundings or something and feel like you’ve failed when they don’t. shifting is not about somehow willing your surroundings to change or lying in your room forcefully convincing yourself that your senses are feeling something else, it’s about acknowledging what’s beyond those senses. feeling and connecting to what your dr self feels.
if you can still feel your cr, it’s not you feeling it, it’s your cr self. and you are not your cr self.
you can apply this to your thoughts too. your thoughts are no less your cr self’s than your senses are. if you start getting doubts mid attempt or can’t let go of the thought or feeling that you’re not in your dr, remind yourself that you are not your feelings or thoughts or doubts. you are simply observing them. of course your cr self will think that they’re still in their cr, they are. just ignore them and shift your attention elsewhere. your focus and awareness are what dictate what you experience, if you relinquish your focus from your cr and direct it to your dr instead, that’s where you’ll “be”.
obviously there’s no one set way to shift, so if you want you can stop reading here and apply this information to your shifting journey in whatever way suits you. if you’re interested in my method though, here’s the compilation of all this info into practical steps you can actually take to shift.
get comfortable somewhere you won’t be disturbed. close your eyes and focus on what you can see. the light behind your eyelids, shapes, colours, whatever. but instead of automatically interpreting these sensations as belonging to your cr, allow them to become sensory input from your dr. light? that’s coming from the lamp by the xyz in your dr bedroom. or maybe your in a field if that’s a fitting setting for your dr, and it’s the sun shining down on you. shapes? that’s because you’ve been lying down with your eyes closed for a while now, you’re tired after your classes or job or whatever you do in your dr. even if it’s nothing at all, let it be your drs nothing. just feel it. do this for about a minute.
then move onto your body. whether it’s sinking, lightness, tingling, focus on it. and do the exact same as you did for the previous step, interpret it as input coming from your dr. don’t worry if you can still feel your body lying in your bed, because your surroundings aren’t going to change—at least not physically. again, those sensations belong to your cr self, and they don’t prevent awareness from directing itself elsewhere. the goal here is to shift your focus away from them and onto something else, so hyperfocusing on your cr and worrying about your surroundings is counterintuitive. just gently guide your attention back to your dr, really try feel your dr surroundings and what your dr body is currently feeling. if you can’t fully avert your focus away from your cr, that’s fine, at the very least just try receive/tap into the input coming from your dr alongside your cr.
finally focus on what you can hear. if you’ve already managed to make a connection with your dr through your sight and physical senses just build up on what you’ve already got. feel grass tickling your skin? deepen the connection there by focusing on the sound now too, the wind blowing through it. see light behind your eyes? focus on the hum of the lights.
repeat these exercises over and over, deepening the connection with each cycle. if you don’t manage to get anything the first cycle just keep going until you do. it might take some practice. like i mentioned before, after spending so much time here and being in constant attunement with your cr self, the sense that your cr is the default starts to take root and it can be difficult to shake the feeling that you’re just indefinitely “here”. it’s normal for it to take some time to learn how to question this feeling and push past it. since you've never (technically?) been aware of anything outside of this reality, learning how to do so can be a bit like learning how to use a muscle you've never used before.
this method operates on the idea that reality is something that is tuned into through focus & narrowed awareness and not something metaphysically travelled across, so for the most success with it, i’d recommend starting to make a conscious effort to see your dr less like a place and more like a wavelength or channel, a perspective already existing beyond your current focus. shifting to your dr then becomes an effort to notice and receive input from this channel/wavelength, input that already exists out there and that simply needs to be acknowledged. you’re just picking up on what’s already there, feeling something that a version of you already feels.
persist in the belief that reality is observed and flexible. you’re not "stuck" anywhere unless you believe you are.
One of my favorite things about running this blog is seeing more and more people drawn to becoming a magical hero. Very much like when someone decides to become a first responder, I truly believe that the force that pulls someone towards this path should be congratulated and nurtured.
That being said, I do encounter a lot of users who are unsure of how to start their magical journeys or feel like there must be a particular way to get started. I hope I can clarify some of the popular methods that folks in the community have documented as well as provide my own insight on how to get started doing magical girl work.

Within the ‘irl magical girl’ and related tags, generally you will see users discussing ‘contracts’ and being ‘scouted’ by a familiar or other spiritual guide at the beginning of their magical journeys. This undoubtedly comes with the territory with working within the frameworks of various mahō shōjo media where this sort of event is almost ubiquitous. In these sorts of stories, the magician generally makes contact with an entity that grants them magical power in order to work towards a specific goal. This entity can also provide the magician insight and guidance as well as magical tools or weapons. Depending on the source material, this magical guide can be like a guardian angel or more of a trickster spirit.
Regardless of the method, there seems to be a general consensus that a petition needs to be made—whether the magician reaches out to an entity, an entity reaches out to them, or the magician sets the terms and forges an agreement with themself.
While I have written how to contact an entity, particularly something like an Incubator from the Puella Magi Madoka Magica universe, it is certainly not a prerequisite to have a relationship with such a being to begin your journey. Speaking for myself, at least, I began this work at a young age purely because I felt the need to alleviate or take the pain away from others, even if that meant taking it into myself. It was only a few years ago when I drafted my Majokko Manifesto that I put into words the intent behind my magia. In this way, you could say that I made a contract with myself to uphold these ideals that I hold so dear.
Once you have determined your role as a magical hero, it’s up to you to figure out your scope of magical work—whether it was relayed to you from a guide or not. A magical entity will not necessarily have the same relationship to your time and mundane responsibilities as you do. As such, it is important that you set and maintain boundaries and take care of your mental and physical health while you embark on this work.

NO. 1 : COSMIC RPINCESS KAGUYA
cosmic princess kaguya is an anime movie on netflix that came out this year, and it has to be one of my top ten movies EVER. its so beautifully animated, moving, and well written, and, of course, very chuuni coded ! it also has amazing queer representation and even an (in my autistic opinion) autistic coded main character !
i absolutely recommend anyone watch this, but especially any chuuni's whose magic involves the internet or any form of virtual world, singing, music, performance, or whose powers / lore involve the moon in some way. also, anyone with any time loop or time travel experience... yeah, this ones for you, too.
go in blind. absolutely, 100%, GO. IN. BLIND.
NO. 2 : MOB PSYCHO 100
mob psycho 100 is one of my top ten animes, and i've rewatched it about three times now because its definitely a comfort show of mine. mob is not only VERY chuuni coded, but also autistic and did / plural coded. we relate to him a lot as a very magical did sys, and every time we rewatch it we end up crying lol
its also SO funny. like, i sear one minute ur laughing and the next ur crying ur eyes out im so fr </3
its just such a beautiful show and is one of the medias that really started making me think about myself in a chuuni way
overall, if your concept / magic involved psychic abilities / esp powers, ghosts or spirits, and similar, then this is definitely for you.
NO. 3 : TOILET BOUND HANAKO KUN
ghosts, exorcists, other worlds, and accidentally becoming a fish girl because you messed with magic that you didnt understand, i swear i've heard of someone in the outpost with that exact story... /j
its a really cute show with surprisingly dark scenes and stories, and all the characters are really likable. i also love any show with ghosts or "magical rumors that turn out to be Very True" :3
NO. 4 : PRECURE ( ANY SHOW )
i mean, come on. girl encounters a magical creature, becomes a magical girl, and fights monsters ? THE irl magical hero experience, especially for anyone who was dragged into their concept instead of a contract / manifestation. you can watch any show, in any order, which is why im not specifying any specific precure series.
NO. 4 : KAMISAMA KISS
once again, i SWEAR ive heard of someone in the outpost with this exact story !!!! i mean, what chuuni hasnt ascended to godly / deity status at least once ? /j
anyways. normal girl becomes a god and kisses a really hot kitsune. literally who hasnt
i've only watched the first few episodes, and if you aren't really into romance you might not like this, but i still think its worth at least checking out :)
NO. 5 : DAN DA DAN
mfw aliens AND ghosts are real and also i am. being possessed and WHERE ARE MY BALLS /ref
the first episode is. Slightly uncomfortable! BUT once you get past that its actually a really well written and moving show with amazing characters and animation.

yeah can you see a theme here ? a LOT of chuuni coded media ends up having queer, autistic, adhd, or plural / did coded characters as well. it seems these things just go hand in hand
anyways, yeah this show definitely has its problems, and. Weird Parts. but the rest of the show is just so good that it thankfully makes those weirder parts easy to ignore.
Irl magical hero is an umbrella term for people who use pop culture witchcraft and/or manifestation to gain or awaken magical abilities. On here you will commonly see magical hero’s from anime. Irl magical hero’s typically do work to fight evil but may also do other types of work. It can be tiring sometimes after a fight.
2. The basics!
2a. how do irl magical heros do their duties?
Magical heros can do their duties in multiple ways! The most common way is through astral projection, you can also do your duties in the physical realm, through bilocation, or remote viewing, etc. You can also create other ways as well (to a degree because you need to make sure ur not just imagining it, so not a method Thats reliant on imagination such as daydreaming, you can also use multiple methods)
2ab. How to become one?
You need to contact a pop culture deity that is able to make u a magical girl, such as kyubey or sailor moon, you can astral project, lucid dream, bilocate. Etc. Ask them how you can be a magical girl working under them and learn the terms of your magic contract. Then just ask to become one and complete any terms u need to (such as puella magis need to make a wish). But take time to think about it first.
2b. Terms!
Concept: a concept basically is what kind of magical hero you will be and what duties you will do. For example I am a puella magi, which means I do my duties the way they do it in the Madoka magica series. You can also make original concepts, or another existing one through media! You can also have more than one.
Familars: there’s two meanings for familars, one for puella magis which I won’t be explaining in this post. But the regular term for familiars means a magical helper who typically either helps you gain your powers or helps you with your work.
Script: a script is a writing of what you want details of your magical heroself to be, for example how you will look or weapons.
Contract: a contract is typically referred to as the deal you make to become a magical hero, you typically make this deal with a familiar.
2c. How some stuff works!
“How do you create a familiar or concept” with manifestation you can create a deity similar to the concept of Tulpas and egeregores. Making a concept is just simple manifestation
“How does physical magical work happen?” Just more manifestation! It sounds harder than it is.
“How do I contract with a familiar?” you can do a spell or ritual to contact your familiar, astral project, lucid dream, etc! Then just ask or if you need to fulfill a requirement for your concept first do that. For example puella magis making a wish.
“Can you die fighting enemies?” You can get injured or sick but won’t die from fighting them on its own. Make sure you are still taking care of yourself properly and regularly.
“Can you change things in your script after contracting?” This would be something to check in with your familiar but in some cases you can! I have ^^
“Can I do my work with a team or fight someone whos not my enemy?” You can fight/ do your work in teams, if your fighting an enemy Thats not in your concept, some concepts will allow it some won’t. Be responsible and try not to hurt anyone who is not either consented to it or is causing harm. You’d need to go to the same location (with whichever method you do ur work like astrally or physically for example) you can get a sigil for the location by concentrating or use another method.
“Can I make my own concept” yup you just need to manifest all the details such as the system and the god/contractor!
“Can I contract under multiple contractors” as long as it’s okay with both of them! If it’s not you could always manifest different versions of them that would be okay with it.
3. CAUTIONS.
3a. Know the terms of your contract. Make sure you know what you’re getting into. Some deities will let you revoke your contract and some may not. Some may have terms you dont want to follow. Ask many questions and be aware.
3b. Confirm this is the deity you wanted to reach, you can use divination or just see if the energy feels right, you can also ask questions only your familar would know (vetting).
3c. TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN!! Train your combat skills, clairsenses (which helps with communication a lot) picking up sports or just working out can make a big difference! You don’t want to get really hurt
3d. Contracts dont always work right away, check in with a deity if your contract succeeded!
3e. Getting into magical practices also has the risk of psychosis or schizophrenia. Stay grounded, practice self care and check in that you are in a good mental space. Make sure you are not experiencing symptoms of those. You can be spiritually in tune and see and do stuff without it being schizophrenia of psychosis but just be sure.
3f. not everything has a magical meaning, some things are just regular every day things.
