2. How does your OC remember their childhood? Is this an accurate reflection of what their childhood was actually like?
She remembers what happened pretty well, mostly because it was a rather calm and peaceful life. She was living with her adoptive parents and brother, in a small village.
She does gaslight herself a bit about her origin tho. When she was old enough to talk about it, her parents were honest with her: You're adopted. You look slightly different than us because you're a Southeastern elf. That means we don't know if you are from Erathia or AvLee. Some may even consider you a human.
She refused to believe it or even consider it. She wanted to be perceived as a proper AvLee elf, she needed to believe she is one.
15. What is your OC's fatal flaw?
I actually already talked about this one! But it's short so I can just copy it here:
She's proud like fresh Hell. She won't admit to being wrong, she will get out of her way to claim "it was planned". If she decided to do something, she is doing it and you won't talk her out of it. And if you do, she will make it look like it was her idea anyway. She's also very closed to others, which caused her to be lonely.
28. What does your OC think others are saying about them behind their back? Is any of this true?
She knows what they are saying. She may not be very open, but socialising is part of politics and she has to play this game as a Lord. She has spies. She has Andreé who is way better at making friends and is gathering gossips for her.
So she knows people are questioning her origins. Talking about her relationships with Andreé. Questioning her choices to not take another apprentice. There are gossips that she talks to dragons, has contacts in Nighon and Deyja. People who work closer with her are often afraid of her, of her lack of emotions and criticise that.
Most of those gossips are not true. People hardly understand why she is the way she is - that she's just masking, that she's closed to everyone, that she is very emotional but hides it well. Some gossips, like the one about having contacts in Deyja and Nighon, came from deformed stories of her past, her relationships with Jeddite, Sandro and Ethric.
In general, as a public figure, there is lots of talking about her. She doesn't care. As long as she's respected, that's what matters.

Physical strength not really.
Mental strength? Very. She considers strength of will more important than any physical strength. That's what she mostly practices with the demon hunters, what helps them survive. That's what she admired the most in Medivh and Illidan - their determination, to keep going, despite everything. She knows that only her own will is what pushed her through the timelines for centuries.

100% risk taker. They wouldn't be where they are without taking a constant risk.
It's also a mixture of years and years of carefuly calculated plans and of randomly throwing themselves under a demon's sword to protect a demon hunter. They like having everything planned down step by step, but absolutely would impulsively teleport to a Legion's ship and stear it into another Legion ship. Also with partner like Illidan, who loves to improvise on the spot and claim it was all part of the plan, Yulei quickly had to learn to do so as well.

Very. Their augmentation magic is literally based on adapting everyone around them and themselves to the environment.
The reason why he let the Void magic nest inside of him so easily is because his body is open to any sorts of magic entering it.
Less literally, Arivios is used to taking orders, executing them with no argument. Commander says "jump" they jump. You may say they have a lil issue with thinking for themselves.
Besides that, Arivios loves experiencing new things, new cultures included. So when he's somewhere new and hear "that's how we do x" he'll immediately be like "I shall do so as well!".
Unless it's something like "don't go there, it's dangerous". Then he will be there first thing in the morning.
He needs to experience the danger as well, no?

No thoughts, head empty, follow the heart.
Like I said, Arivios has an issue with thinking for himself. He wasn't trained to be a Scalecommander, but a solider following orders. Emberthal tried to train him to become a Scalecommander, but then he left with Voraxian and Kalecgos to the Isle of Dor, got corrupted by the Void... so it's on hold.
When he tries to adventure on his own, it's way more often "do what feels right", than "think about your next step." They rely on instinct a lot.

💜1. What is one of your OC’s biggest dreams and do they believe that dream will come true?
Generally Andreé tries not to dream too much. As a soldier, they learned that dreaming is pointless. They had friends who planned to return to their lovers and retire together, that died the next day in a battle. They had soliders bleeding out under Andreé's healing hands, mumbling about not being able to wait to see their children probably already walking and talking.
After deserting, the only thing Andreé "dreamed" about was escaping and surviving another day. Then another. And maybe one more.
It took meeting Romania for Andreé to start carrying about more than just the next day, but it still was months and months, and it turned from "let's survive another day" to "let's survive the next conflict, meet with friends in a tavern and have something tasty".
Sometimes they catch themselves dreaming about retirement, moving with Romania to a small castle and leaving the lands to a successor, like other Lords who managed to live to an old age. But they don't really believe in that ever happening. Tho they learned that maybe the point of dreams is not to fulfil them but to dream about them.

One to Erathia when they deserted, that's for sure.
As a child them and Natalia promised to always stick together no matter what. But as they both grew older, Natalia became more skilled and promising, treating Andreé's worries less seriously, Andreé became more doubtful, they drifted appart. You may say they both broke that promise.

Not really, tho it's not a strange concept on Antagarich. The concept that two souls were born to meet no matter what appears in different cultures, in different forms. Young Jeddite heard it for the first time as a teenager and thought "silly". But then as he grew closer with Sandro it started feeling more real. Was there another soul that could understood him better than his best friend?
Well, yes. Romania. That's why when he met her, that idea crumbled and grew anew. She must be the one, right? The soulmate!
But as he left, as the time passed, as wars broke out and alliances changed, he started hating the idea. There is no such thing as a soulmate. Because there is no way he fought against both people who he considered his possible soulmate. There is no way he fucked up so royaly that he destroyed what even the universe provided him.

Dying. A lot. Nightmares replaying the situations where she did die or almost died, potential situations where she avoided death, unreal situations that could never happen, like being trapped on the bottom of the ocean.
It's not as bad as the embarrassing ones - she has nightmares about choking on food, slipping and falling down the stairs, being trampled by a horse etc.
There are nightmares about her close ones dying as well, and her being helpless. Countless nightmares repeating Emerie (her dead apprentice) death, scenarios creating the circumstances of Jeddite's death, when she thought he was dead. Nightmares both about Sandro dying and killing her.

Nuroka
6. How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they like who they are? What would they want to change about themself?
He does not like his eyes. He thinks that the violet makes him look like an outsider that doesn't belong, since everybody else has red. It makes him very insecure of himself since it's the first thing people notice about him, and a stereotype is that any colour that isn't red is seen as "abnormal" and "strange".
9. Describe a mundane day in your OC's life.
The First's duties mainly compose of Faith, Rak'Shir scheduling and Military Preparation so Nuroka's got a massive handful of duties. Basically his schedule is:
Dawn- wake up. Martial arts practice + morning prayers. Attend Rak'Shir if there is one; host a Ritual sacrifice for Amon at a Shrine if it's Ritual day; else we go to the Office.
Office Hours- He checks Rak'Shir schedulling first, then proceeds on with his day which is basically a mix of meetings + visiting military bases + collaborating with the other four Ascended where necessary. He also makes public appearances at Temples+ travels around Slayn often just to supervise since Ma'lash mainly takes care of things in the Capital. He also trains as well if he has spare time.
Evening- He always waits until the Breath of Creation floats up and spends a lot of time in there, trying to get closer to Amon and see into His grand design. He does this out of pure curiosity and devotion. Then he goes to sleep, rinse and repeat.
(The Highlord is the face of the leadership team and handles external threats + overall direction of technological advancement; the First ensures loyalty and faith alongside war preparation + Rak'Shir schedulling, Second is in charge of finance and economy, Third handles internal security, Fourth is education; Fifth is research and development.)
20. How quick is your OC to shift blame? Do they own up to their mistakes, or are they prone to start pointing fingers at others?
Nuroka is quite honest actually, if he made a mistake well then that's on him. If it's not his fault then he'll do everything he can to fix the issue + bring the person in if necessary. He doesn't like pointing fingers, he has a set of morals that he abides with and 'not lying' is a big one (*cough cough Ma'lash).

15. What is your OC's fatal flaw?
I was gonna say Masking but then figured it was Distrust and Paranoia. Distrust in everything and everyone stops him from believing in people and things + adds to his lack of hope. He is a workaholic, but this makes him personally take on a bunch of extra responsibilities out of fear that somebody might figure out the truth, which he is very paranoid about. He doesn't let people get close to him because 1. distrust, 2. he fears genuine relationships because he doesn't know how to communicate effectively either due to the constant masking.
21. How does your OC handle criticism?
He doesn't have the energy to care. Usually nobody dares to criticise him to his face but he can tell when the other Ascendants are not satisfied with him. And it both frustrates and scares him because they're going to try and go against him to kill him, and he's gonna have to try and be more socially active so he gets supporters in Rak'Shir.
But if it's from Nuroka then he goes fuck I gotta fix xxx because Nuroka. Just Nuroka. No other reason necessary.
If it's from Amon then he's gotta fix it even more, despite himself hating it since he has to show off that he's loyal.
48. What would your OC do if they knew that this was their last day alive?
tw for suicidal thoughts
Not much really. He'd either accept it if it was a worthy successor finally killing him, or fight against it with everything he has if not. So he'd be too busy going "oh finally" or "oh god oh no oh shit" to have the time to do something else.
I HC Ma'lash as passively suicidal and very self-neglectful to the point Nuroka personally has to drag him out of his room because he was having a bad "what if everything I'm doing is for nothing".
He's so tired because he's lost so many Firsts and some of them before Nuroka also had potential- but they died either due to other Rak'Shirs or outside forces he couldn't control.
He lacks hope and the only motivation for him is "I need to be the leader because nobody else is ready for the position of leadership. Not yet. But- will that day ever come…? Or am I destined to lead them to the Day of Ascension then lose all of them?"
So genuinely the night before a Rak'Shir he'd be eerily calm and accepting like is this it? Will my cycle of waiting finally end? Is this person the saviour my people need? He'd mask this in the Rak'Shir the next day, and would play his part as the 'antagonist', the villain that knew everything but served Amon like a blind fool so that his successor can lead them into freedom.
But if it was something like Nuroka challenging him because he found out the truth, he'd be absolutely terrified but mask that and steel himself. Because this is the moment he will choose his people over any individual person, even though that person is the one that gave him the strength to hope again.

4. Describe three of the most important photographs your OC owns.
I don't think they'd have photos in Canon SC2 but since my AU is a humanisation one they do.
Ma'lash: First of his parents and him when he was young at Winter's Gate- that is a special childhood place for him. Second would be the planet he joked about wanting to destroy as a kid when he named his spear Starkiller; he never got the chance to go there with his father. Third is Nuroka that he took in private without the First knowing, he has that on a bulletin board fr with sticky notes + threads like a detective but he's keeping track of what lies he told him about Amon.
Nuroka: First of Omega IX's sunset since he's not native to Slayn, he really misses it but he never shows anyone this. Second is the Pits of Ascension with Slayn's night sky as the background because that is Amon's promise. He burns the second immediately after finding out the truth. Third is Ma'lash without his mask that he took without him knowing- he can see the eyebags and the exhaustion in his eyes, the lack of light there fr makes a part of him hurt.
5. What is your OC's gender identity and sexual orientation? Is this also what they identify as in canon, or are they not (fully) aware?
So in Canon they both are cis-male but don't have any confirmation of sexual orientation. But if I had to guess, Canon Nuroka would be aroace since he literally does not care about anything other than Amon/being efficient and getting things done.
Nuroka in my AUs has two versions. One is Canon Adjacent where he's aroace and does not give two shits about Ma'lash at all and merely judges him on usefullness. VotS Nuroka is bisexual with a preference for men, since I want to explore not just the cold efficiency but also emotional part of him that made me tear up in Ascension.
I HC Ma'lash as gay transmasc for pretty much all AUs and Canon. It's something I rolled with as a kid and it made sense imo at least, bc his model is slim af and 13yo Vale fr thought the metal on his upper legs were thigh straps or something lmao. It just stuck and I personally feel like it adds complexity to his character. Also uhhh the way he talks to Nuroka like "At least the First Ascendant and I are united in wanting to see him bleed" hello??? what is this toxic yaoi (I analyse this quote in essay format here lmao)
Also fun fact, bc I'm in China rn fr I read both EN and CN Ascension and boy do I wanna analyse EN vs CN NuroLash; bc damn this translation is insanely good but also such a different take on the original EN where I can say the two versions feel like different characters fr.
Kyrian has three number cases: singular, paucal (few) and plural (many).
When it comes to the paucal case Kyrians generally cap it at five. The rule they're taught is 'Many is more than a Temple.' Five being the 'temple number' of Bastion. Sometimes paucal is called a 'templefull. '
So for kyrian it would be:

Bwvlpίmίna - More than five vulpin
This of course varies on what declention the word is part of.
