Whenever a past case is brought up it has to be outside of the timeline that the show covers and the only detectives they have for then is Chsrlie Hulme and the Commissioner and so its always either One of the Two
Also Camille and Fidel go soon after Richard so its excusable that they dont mention it (and Camille even does have that thing with Richard Ghost when she comes back) but I find it so strange Dwayne just seems not to care

I’ve always had the whimsy of the stars and the earth since I was a little one. My days in the mountains were spent crushing rocks so I could find the perfect dusting to wrap in leaves. My favourite things was a box of crystals and rocks I got at a farmers market. I had an unhealthy attachment to the National Geographic almanac (with the wolf on the cover) whenever I could find the pages on stars. I can find Orión anywhere I’ve been; it’s a comfort to me. I have a meteorite that’s over 2000 years old next to me, as well as a golden obsidian, smooth and polished. I’ve always had my head stuck in the clouds and down in the dirt. I ate rocks. I spent way too much time outside staring at the night sky. My whimsy comes from space and earth.

in all seriousness i am really really interested (and scared) in how riptide will conclude chip and price's story...
where price like. Deserves to Die. like full stop. if riptide was a tv show (and if i was any more normal #erm) i'd be like Dude there is no satisfying end where he stays alive. and i think absolutely chip deserves to be the one to cement this closure.
but. then again it's price and Chip. chip whose life has been defined and shaped partly through the Violence ASSOCIATED with price. chip who is haunted by price at every single turn; his past, his mind, his morals, his Family. chip whose current narrative stakes are largely Around the idea of death, violence, survival, and the worth of lives. chip who, as of ep 126, is pretty much now in The Bounty Hunter Role Like Price.
and i don't know! maybe death would be the ending. maybe it's less about "letting someone live or killing someone" as an Action, but more about chip's newfound desire to live, to be himself, and his love for his friends, that leads to him formally and finally severing the haunting shadow that is reuben price. more about a situation where reuben price himself makes Sure that dying is the only solution, no matter what chip could've tried at first.
(i do think that reuben price would much rather die than allow chip ANY sort of "victory" over him. even if that victory was as small as, like, admitting that he was a fucking dick and not wanting to Do that anymore.)
buuuut the thought is also just sort of. sad? with the skullslice murder, the gang, chip's morals built from that incident, then him forgetting the memory and the fallout of that decision; crow's death, the dread queen. all leading to Another death. (but then again maybe it'd still be interesting With that sadness in mind).
i suppose it is also a question of how Price's story should end. how it exists within the narrative and why it matters. and if it can, in any way, be seperated from Chip's story.

yeah especially like the whole reason he ran away was because he killed a member of the gang. and he didnt feel like it was right to kill. oh my GOD BUT HE DOESNT REMEMBER THAT its insane and I don't know what they're going to do with it. And he killed that drow elf in Allport and he regretted it. Now he's being forced to kill people out of his control. One thing I think they certainly could do is have Chip refuse to kill price like even when he gets corrupted or something. I dont know how it gets resolved. I just think theres so much going on there its crazy
ouuh ouuuahh price getting corrupted 💭💭ouuahh maybe, for him, being left Alive by chip is even MORE of a loss than just being killed. whether it's because worse consequences are to come (succumbing to corruption) or just at the fact that. chip won. chip won and price is Alive to Recognize that.
and also the fact that chip isn't. His anymore? where they've had all these narrative similarities in so many ways, their (unfortunate) connection beginning since such a young age for both of them. the idea of "chip could have ended up like price" still exists. but it's been eclipsed by the new knowledge that "price could have changed, tried to be like chip." and he never did. and he actively Chose to Not change. and still, chip Doesn't Kill Him. and could that not be the ultimate loss in so many ways. idk. spins around
i'm always skeptical of the "if i kill you i'll be worse than you :((" trope but i don't know. i think it could be really interesting depending on how its played out. GRAHH GRAH YEAH THERE IS JUST SO SO SO MUCH GOING ON. THERE IS SO MUCH.

i remember, before ep 60 even came out, i was hoping for chip to somehow convince crow to quit their evil job because i thought they were silly. but after ep 60 i think it's twice as fascinating to know just how UNWILLING they are to ever, EVER leave price's side. even when it costs them Everything.

Yk what would be sick!!! A Blood in the bayou story game with the same vibes as little missfortune or life is strange. Especially because btb is an older campaign and me personally I couldn't get into it so a like fresher and unique version would be so sick. We also already have campaigns with sprites and stuff so they could keep with that style ugh i love jrwi 😩
