Are Aot fancasts still a thing? No clue. But I was severely bored and so here we are. Keep in mind that these are JUST opinions of mine so don’t take it seriously as some people tend to. I know none of these people look exactly like the characters but this is just what I feel so respect and all, oh well though, if you don’t not my problem.
Vincent Kartheiser — Eren (This makes the most sense to me if I’m being honest, I’ve seen many say this and I wholeheartedly agree, he has that feminine beauty that S4 or well 18 year old eren radiates when they got to Marley for the first time. Also Eren kinda has a round but sharp face much like how Vincent has. Personally I was getting sick of People fancast Eren as Asian when he really isn’t, he’s Eldian/German. He’s a white man guys.)
Kiko Mizuhara — Mikasa (She played her in the live action and to me I can’t see anyone else playing Mikasa due to that fact. Even though that movie was horrible, she captured Mikasa’s personality really well imo and while this is only a fancast much like the others so no one is really going to ever capture the characters, I think it’s important to honor the fact that Mikasa is Half-white (Eldian/German) and Half-Japanese (Hizuru). I know there’s a lot more faces out there that could work for Mikasa as well but I’m personally biased and this is just what I see, but maybe if we’re talking pixie cut Mikasa then Sonoya Mizuno could work as well even though she’s not mixed, or maybe even Tao Tsuchiya playing Usagi in Alice in Borderland could work as well!!)
Johan Widerberg — Armin (S4 armin anyone?? I had two other Fancast for Armin, obviously Lou Wegner in that cosplay, or maybe Jonathan Brandis in Ladybugs when he had the bob, but then I realized that Johan just looks much older than those two in a way, I don’t know how, but I think it works for me, also the last image has him with a slick back or whatever that hairstyle is and that really is just Armin during the epilogue.)
Brad Renfro — Jean (I see some fancast him as a young Ethan Hawke and while I do like that I think Brad captures jean’s youth much more than Ethan Hawke would, also the hair and the beard that Jean has going is kinda similar to what Brad had in his 90s/early 2000s era.)
Aron Piper — Connie (Dude that’s literally connie. And his hairline kinda matches connie’s. Also ever since A Slap On Titan, I can’t get the idea of Latino Connie out of my head which I know is stupid but Aron is Spanish-German… so it works. Sue me.)
Mary Elizabeth Winstead — Sasha (it was hard finding someone for her, but I think she might work for Sasha. In this case I was going based of brown hair a pony tail unlike some of the others, but I think Mary could work as well, still unsure about this one though.)
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau — Reiner (This is me being severly Game of Thrones biased but I think the younger him has a potential to look like Reiner, and if you’ve seen him as Jaime Lannister during Jaime’s redemption arc, he would 100% kill the whole tortured aspect of Reiner’s character.)
Edward Holcraft — Erwin (His Nose. I am so sick and tired of the Chris Evans fancast, pls his nose. Edward in this particular film is giving Erwin, the hair, the cheekbones, the jawline, did I mention the nose??? That’s Erwin.)
Alba Flores — Hange (Their Nose!!! I will not accept any other ideas about who should play Hange, I know the popular casting was Jenny Slate but I personally do not see it, I don’t think it works anymore, and While jenny has the nose (which I think is important for many aot characters so we don’t have same Face syndrome), I also think that Hange should look a bit androgynous and Alba, IN MY OPINION, Alba kinda has the face shape for it.)
Freddy Carter — Levi (I’m sorry but I think levi should look his age or well closer to his age, 30-40, just like Freddy and was much a better choice than Dane Deehan. I also think Freddy’s brows gives a whole different effect to his gaze. Which makes it a bit menacing, or intimidating. Which is what levi has too. I know Dane playing Valerian was the “only” acceptable choice for Levi but I think Freddy could work as well.)
