Wizard Princess Outfit Poll Results
The Tumblr and Deviantart polls concluded and the cumulative results are another tie.
I'm surprised the hooded version got as many votes as it did though both do look neat IMO. I'll set up a tie breaking poll within a day or so.

Which outfit for Elisaria the Wizard Princess is your favorite?

Having Elisaria's new face picked out, I created some outfit variants to go with it. A is the original outfit which was the idea of her draping the wizard robes she found over her princess dress. B is a more complex outfit with extra articles of clothing and equipment. C experiments with a simpler design. D replaces the wizard hat with a hood. E is another attempt at a simpler design. Lastly, F is a composite of the previous 5 designs.
The poll will run for a week in tandem with Deviantart and Facebook. Feel free to suggest outfit changes if you want.

Finished another set of creatures for my Alpha Centauri moon speculative biology project. This group is called the Tripods. They are highly social three-legged mammalians who are generally herbivores with a few exceptions. Though three legs are generally riskier, the tripods composite for this by evolving a healing factor comparable to earth Axolotls and living in large social groups that can look out/care for one another. This is coupled by living on a lower gravity world where fall damage isn't as devastating. Here's a rundown of the species shown.
The top middle is a pig-like foraging omnivore that inhabits forest with males sporting large tusks for display and defense. Top right is a muskox-like arctic species that evolved layered head plates that can give devastating blows when powered by the full force of their hind leg. Right below the forager is one of the few examples of a predatory Tripod. Their long legs and dexterous digits allows them to traverse almost any terrain in pursuit of prey. The middle right is a horse-like running and on of the most common herbivores in the moon's open plains. Their shaggy coats and active lifestyle helps keep them warm even during the moon's coldest periods. At the very right is a tall giraffe-like herbivore. Inhabiting between the forests and plains that also sport tusks like their forager relatives and used for the same purposes. Near the bottom is an aquatic hippo-like herbivore that inhabits fresh to brackish waters and keep themselves warm through their layers of blubber and huddling in large groups. Lastly, at the bottom right, is a small herbivore that most resembles the ancestors of the Tripod group. Most resembling Earth's hyraxes, there are several species that range from ground dwelling to arboreal.
I need to brainstorm more ideas for this, particularly invertebrates and plants.

Wizard Princess Knight poll 2 results
The polls for the tie breaking Knight designs have concluded. It was actually an even split on Deviantart but fortunately the Tumblr poll was definitive. Cumulated, this is the winning design.
I'm actually glad this design won as it was the most aesthetically pleasing to me of the two. I already made alt outfit designs for Elisaria (the titular Wizard Princess) but I'll wait a day or so before setting that poll up.

Since the last cumulative poll results were a tie, I set up a tie breaking poll for the finalists. This also allowed me to refine these designs a little more. Like usual, this poll along with the Deviantart & Facebook polls will run for a week.

What started as an original character design for MerMay became an episode concept for Celeste the Witch. Here's the summary I formulated: Local mermaid barista Marie, who is normally very cool and collected, becomes on edge when out of nowhere another mermaid comes to town. Fueled by a strong distrust of other mermaids (including Jengus like herself) and the knowledge that they never go onto land unless there's some ulterior motive, Marie begins spying the beautiful yet strange mermaid. Celeste tags along both to spend time with Marie outside of her coffee shop and to try to understand what Marie's deal is.
I would have liked to have made a better background for this piece but I wanted to finish this before the month ended with the limited free time I had and backgrounds are one of those things that are harder for me (still good practice though).

My latest design variant poll concluded and for the first time the cumulative results produced a tie. With the 11 votes from Deviantart and 36 from Tumblr, here are the dueling winners.
Though I liked the helmet of the original design I can work with either of these two. I'll clean and refine both of them a bit before I set up a tie breaker poll.

Though I said I would complete a MerMay piece first, I figured I would get the next design poll set up as I already got the designs completed. To recap this Wizard Princess character, this is a mysterious Knight who wields a magic sword and often best opponents in unconventional ways. Option A is the original design, B & C are inspired by other Punkey Doodles shorts, and D is a composite of the first three. Wizard Princess face design poll results
My current polls for Elisaria's face design has concluded and the overall winner was a landslide. With 56 votes from Tumblr, 9 from Deviantart, and zero from Facebook (I know I know, still want to leave keep that net open), here's the winner.
This Design was inspire by the overall Disney princess aesthetic. Ironically, this actually helps make her more visually distinct from the other characters in her world. I'll be using this design for her from her on out and will hopefully maintain consistency. Before I set up the next poll I'm going to try to finish up something for MerMay before the month is over.

It's been a while since I did a genie related art piece so I decided to switch it up while my current design variant polls are running. This is another character from the Aladdin franchise, specifically the animated series. Her name is Sadira, a fellow street rat like Aladdin who develops an unrequited crush on Aladdin resulting in jealously towards princess Jasmine. I never saw the episodes she was in but from what I researched in each one she was able to acquire some form of sand magic and attempts to use it to get Jasmine out of the way and make Aladdin fall for her. She remains human throughout her appearances so her as a genie is merely fan art. I did use the magic amulet she utilized in her debut episode as her genie vessel. It could even be an AU where the amulet does turn her into a genie.
This was a lot of fun to draw in between OCs and speculative biology.

Billy the Kobold design poll results.
My latest polls has concluded. Though they didn't get as many votes as previous ones (10 from Deviantart, 12 from Tumblr, and 0 from Facebook), the results were still close. Here's the overall winner.
Like the last poll, the original design one out overall. Again, it was close with the reptilian design being in second place (probably being what Dnd players are more familiar with). My next poll will be for The Wizard Princess Elisaria's face design so expect that within a day or so. I'm doing her face first before I create full body variations for her.

Happy Mother's Day everyone! I managed to finish this piece just in time for today. Drawing my holiday loving OC Celeste the Witch again, she's enjoying a quiet evening with her mother and gives a gift basket of some of her favorite things. This is the first time drawing Celete's mother though I've had her in my mind for a while now. I haven't given her a name yet but I've always had a solid idea of her personality. A full blooded human, she's a humble woman who likes to dress old fashioned and is passionate about herbology, hence why her gift basket has several herbs. Though lacking innate magical abilities herself, she uses her vast plant knowledge to dabble in some alchemy.
It was nice to showcase Celeste's mother for today and hope to same for her father in time for Father's Day.

Finished another set of alien designs for my Alpha Centauri moon series. I call this group the avians for their obvious bird-like characteristics. The idea behind this family of organisms is that their ancestors had a more radial symmetry but with the evolution of a post anal tail (an actual biological term) one half of their bodies became more dominate and used for locomotion. The other half is often used for either display or flight. Most species have thick feathers covering their bodies and all are warm blooded thus are able to be active throughout their moon's orbit including the coldest period. Here's a quick rundown of the species.
The top left is an apex predator similar in both size and ecology to medium sized theropod dinosaurs. Among the largest terrestrial predators, they hunt in small family groups and often inhabit grassland and cooler regions. The top middle is an insectivore similar to anteaters and Kiwis that fends off predators with smell and bitter taste thanks to the invertebrates it eats. The top right is a solitary giraffe-like herbivore that inhabits forested area. The species shown is the largest of it's group with smaller herding species more built for running in open environments. The middle left species in a filter feeder which, like Earth's flamingos, gains its coloring from the organisms it eats. Right next to it is a sapient avians which inhabits high elevations and whose front bottom limbs are freed for tool use. Next to it is an example of a flying rainforest insectivore, just one one of the countless flying avians that exist on the Alpha Centauri Moon. The middle left is a fisher that wades in shallow water to catch swimming organisms with their hooked fore-claws and barbed beaks. The largest creature near the bottom is a marine species that filter feed like baleen whales. Several species from this group exist and are among the largest vertebrates on the moon. The bottom left is a seal-like aquatic species that both hunts and filter feeds while being able to move onto land to breed. Lastly on the bottom right is a predatory marine species that hunts in pods for small and large prey alike.

Continuing with design variants for The Wizard Princess, I have four versions of Billy the Kobold who is the titular Wizard Princess's familiar. Loving creature design I had a lot of fun with this one. The options here are the original design (a), a reptilian variant like you see in Dnd (b), a mammalian version slightly inspired by those Labubu toys (c), and a composite of the three previous designs. Like before, I'll let the poll run for a week simultaneously with ones on Deviantart and Facebook.

Wizard Princess Staff Design Poll 2 Results
My second poll for the Wizard Princess's staff design has concluded and the results surprised me. To refresh, the second poll involved the top three designs from the first poll and added the wizard princess herself to see which staff people thought matched her esthetically. I included results from Tumblr (64 votes), Deviant (10), and Facebook (2) to cast the widest net possible even though the latter had the least engagement. With the combined results, here's the winner.
It's ironic that the first design I came up with was the overall winner. Esthetically I agree with this choice as well though I intend to find a way to incorporate the other staff designs into the story. I'm planning on creating design variants of some of the characters as well, including the Wizard Princess herself so expect polls for those designs in the near future.
