He thought using his shield to carve pumpkins would be way easier than using a knife or whatever else people usually came up with to try and tackle this seasonal task.

But here he is, several hours later, pumpkin guts and viscera up to his elbows, and three pumpkins that look more like they got mauled by a bear than carved.

He's going to need more pumpkins....

Tim enters, his nose practically assaulted by the scent of pumpkin. Goopy guts and pumpkin seeds everywhere.

"Well, that's certainly a unique look. I'm not cleaning that up I hope you know," Well maybe he'd help, but his boss can clean up his own mess.

"Wasn't gonna ask ya to." He nudges one of the pumpkins with his foot, frowning at the offending squash before heaving out a sigh.

"Suppose this is what I get for tryin' to go against my nature, huh? Wanted to surprise my little raccoon of a baby sister, but.... Turns out my Ultimate Shield isn't a solution for everything."

There's a long pause, and then he looks up, thinking. "If I get more, you think you can help me with this carvin' business? Never bothered with it before so I'm kinda out of my depth for a change. Which is just as fuckin' weird as it sounds."

The hair ruffle made her giggle, scrunching her nose up as the movement made her bangs stick up in odd ways.

She held up the small plate again with a smile, showing the gaps in her teeth where her canines should have been. "I brought fruit! Roa just cut it up for me"

The plate held apple slices, strawberries, grapes and raspberries. Roa probably knew she was going to share the treats so he had put a bit more on the plate than he usually would have.

Greed snagged a raspberry up off the plate, making a mental note to see if his bakery pal had any fruit pastries in stock tomorrow, then grinned.

"I think Roa'd sleep in the kitchen if he had the chance to." He chuckled lightly. "So what have you been up to today?"

Aya lightly bonked her head against Greeds leg as she sat beside him while he worked on paperwork. She'd come up with a snack from the kitchen, wordlessly holding some up to him to share.

Keeping track of bills and inventory was probably the only boring aspect of running a bar. Greed didn't mind it, exactly, but it was tedious, especially when there was always something more interesting to be doing. Still, someone had to do it, and when it came to important things he wasn't the sort to pass the work off to someone else.

Aya's presence might have been a distraction to anyone else, but Greed was so focused it took several minutes before he even registered she was trying to get his attention. When he did finally notice, though, he paused what he was doing to lean over and ruffle her hair.

"What'd ya bring to share with me, little lady?"

you can't look at greed and try to convince me that he Doesn't love halloween (he doesn't even need a costume, he can have his shield fully up and kids will think it's cool instead of being scared like they would be normally)

you just know the devil's nest is handing out the good stuff the full sized chocolate bars

trying to decide if there's a specific event that made greed and envy so antagonistic towards each other for fic reasons and such and i think the funniest option is that one day someone was like "aren't those basically the same thing" and they both took such deep offense at it that they decided to hate each other forever <3
