Ideas about Volo being driven by empathy to the point of madness:

Lysandre desires a beautiful world. Cyrus desires a world without spirit.

But Volo? Volo desires a better world.

Even the name of his sync move for his Giratina alt. reflects this. Even when he's gone mad, he still desires a better world. And his most associated Pokémon evolutionary line?

Togekiss. A Pokémon that hates strife and conflict.

Lysandre and Cyrus are associated with Pokémon that have a violent or controlling reputation (Mega Gyarados for Lysandre, Honchkrow/Weavile for Cyrus.)

But Volo is most associated with a Pokémon that desires peace.

Half of his team is also made up of friendship evolutions, and Lucario's Shield 'Dex entry states that "Only Trainers who have justice in their hearts can earn this Pokémon’s trust".

His max. level quote with Giratina is "To forge a new. . . BETTER WORLD!"

Another one of his alt. quotes is, "You can sleep in peace. Tomorrow will surely bring a new and better world."

He's aggressive to the point of madness and obsession, and yet he desires a BETTER world. Lysandre wants to preserve beauty, and Cyrus wants to be rid of the human spirit, but Volo wants to make things better.

His quotes suggest he's seen or experienced horrible things, including a betrayal, and he wants to fix that.

He wants to fix the wrongs so desperately that he's driven mad by the desire.

Google will block sideloading of unverified Android apps starting next year

Google says it’s no different than checking IDs at the airport.

This is just another form of censorship, control of what we can/can't see and engage with, and another means of getting our private information.

Alternative forks of AOSP (Android Open-Source Project) which are not maintained by Google and will not be affected by this:

Graphene OS

Functionally they are virtually identical to stock Android. Android began as an open-source project, and these versions are built off of that.

for those like me who cannot install alternative android forks on their phone because the phone in question is thoroughly unrootable, I would recommend downloading anyapk on your phone while you still can. In their own words:

anyapk is a lightweight Android application installer that bypasses Google's developer verification requirements by using local ADB (Android Debug Bridge) connections. Smoothly install any APK file on your device without restrictions, gatekeepers, or corporate approval.

If you're reading this after Google's lockdown date and are unable to install anyapk the regular way, there is a method outlined on the github linked above which tells you how to install anyapk on your phone by plugging it into a computer with ADB installed on it. Once you have anyapk on your phone, you will not have to do that ever again (unless you delete anyapk off your phone)
