Sword of the Sea, the latest game from Giant Squid (ABZU, The Pathless) is out! Scored by the incomparable Austin Wintory. I played the winds on the score, including this giant, custom-commissioned Mayan harmony triple drone flute, and have been so excited to finally share this instrument with everyone! Endless thank yous to Matt Nava and Giant Squid, to Austin for his friendship and artistry, and to Eagle Feather, this incredible instrument's maker. :)

Words of Radiance

Man, okay. So this one took me a bit to read, as after reading 8 books in a little over a month I was EXHAUSTED. But after having a bad throat today, I literally ONLY read and polished off this book. I shit you not I audibly sobbed after Syl screamed. You know what I'm talking about. The Sanderlanche in this book had me HOOKED. Can't wait to keep reading, I believe Edgedancer is next on my list. If you haven't taken a dip into the Cosmere, please do, it's so worth the read. DO NOT KEEP READING IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS. Also I've changed my opinions about all the main characters: Kaladin; Baby, must be protected Shallan; Stinky, but I'll allow it. Absolutely called her twist though. Dalinar: Baby, must be protected Adolin: Stinky, but I'm love him. He's a good kid. Szeth: I just wanna strangle him (lovingly) Lift: Precious child, must be protected. Wit: Precious, never change.

Welcome to my little character dump for my OC Sloan Ebbergrin! A LaSombra who's made plenty of Allies, enemies, and strings. The Nosferatu call them "Dionysus" while others call them "The Sloan Ranger". My partner is running me through a solo campaign, and it's been an absolute blast! Now that they've finally begun to learn Abyss Mysticism, things are going to pretty interesting within the Anarchs. (Bonus picture of their Best Boy Soot)

I hate when I say things like "oh I want an ipod classic but with bluetooth so I can use wireless headphones" and some peanut comes in and replies with "so a smartphone with spotify?" No. I want a 160GB+ rectangular monstrosity where I can download every version of every song I want to it and it does nothing except play music and I don't need a data connection and don't have to pay a subscription to not have ads and don't have popups suggesting terrible AI playlists all over the menus.

Gimme the clicky wheel and song titles like "My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade- Blood (Bonus Track)- secret track- album rip- high quality"

Wow. Tress of the Emerald Sea might be my favorite book yet. Something about it, how wonderful the characters are, the story beats, the whimsy, it was all so wonderful.

I won't go into spoilers, but man, I cried a few times during this with just how wonderfully Tress responded to things and understood the world.

I related to her way too much and I think a little piece of my own journey was with her on hers. Great book, absolutely 100% recommend!
