the best benders in this show tend to be the ones who adapt elements of other bending techniques. Bumi has some airbender-y movements, Zuko and Iroh use some Air and Water movements, even Katara tends to use some earthbender looking moves when bending ice
take into account that Toph might not be able to take other bending styles into her own. Because those styles (especially fire and air) require you to lift your feet off the ground and for Toph she would lose her way of connecting to the world like heās used too.
Toph took earthbending, made it her bitch, and made it adapt to her needs as a disabled person.
Iām reading a family lore book (on my family!) that contains a lot of information about my relatives up to my 4th great grandparents, and itās like a fucking reality TV show.Ā

Modern AU Songxuexiao, but make it Heaven Has A Road
I made this little thing a week ago bc itās been two whole years since I read Heaven Has A Road But No One Walks It, and it rewired my brain forever. After that, I created my accounts where Iād share doodles, which eventually turned into this.
So, first we have Xiao Xingchen with the hentie tee, -unaware of the tee someone selected for him- and a blindfold because I didnāt feel like drawing uncanny beauty XXC with his eyes attached to his skull. Heās blind though.
Then thereās Xue Yang with dark lipstick to leave kisses on his partners and the t-shirt that should read āheās my cockā, obviously worn to match Song Lanās. And yeah, he doesnāt have his right arm. Although the fic follows CQL canon, I wanted to give him bangs, like I usually do, and his fangs, which were considered for the drama but then discarded bc real life.
And finally, we can see our beloved Song Zichen with an undercut, (the only way I picture modern AU Song Lan tbh), being the pretty beefcake he is, wearing a tee clearly too small for his body that should read as āheās my chickā.Ā
Thereās a couple more Easter eggs hidden there, hopefully youāll be able to see them.
Shoutout to my dear friend Ry, a total sweetheart who enables me, talks about silly and not so silly prompts with me, and gave me the idea of the matching tees and XXCās that was not a part of that set, but fits the vibe. Heheheh.

obsessed with characters being saved against their will. being knocked unconscious and carried away from a danger they won't stop trying to fight. being shoved through a portal somewhere far away and safe right before it closes. trying to self-sacrifice only to have the exact person they're trying to save swap their places at the last second. getting the only cure to the disease or curse bc the person administering it loves them too much to give it to anyone else, including themselves. being thrown to safety right as they had accepted dying. someone else they thought had gotten to safety running back to drag them out of danger. it's so fucking tasty
