I’m so happy there are seasonal plants now. i will have to rearrange still since some flowers look better than others but its still so nice to have more options to pretty up the farm.
Krobus gave me a magnifying glass, which adds sort of a scavenger hunt type of thing with notes from the caves apparently. i found one and followed its directions and now here i am, talking to a bear.
They gave the bear different portraits too like the other characters. his other portraits, happy is very cute, his very happy is scary but funny, and his eyes open is kind of creepy lol
this makes salmonberrys and blackberries worth more. if i find other notes i may just save them for one post instead of making all individual, or leave it at this and not worry about logging them since there seem to be a lot.
another new cutscene i got this in fall about a month after the new house.
pam talks about being unable to cutback and that she always felt something is missing in her life, she used to think it was money but since the feeling didnt go away she ordered a yoba statue and is religious now i guess?
again, two options for the player. can say youre happy shes feeling hopeful or yobas not real. i said im happy shes feeling hopeful.
idk. Her character always interested me, she seemed one of the more well thought out of all the characters when you talk to her and get her history, but her scenes were always from other people's perspectives... im glad theres more development here. i hope there’s more to this. Then again she's not a marriage candidate and this is already the second scene in the new update for her so i don't think there will be many more scenes added for her if any xD im still happy with this.
edit. also, the red hat im wearing is new too. there are treasure floors in skull caverns now. i found this on one floor and some bombs on another.
stardew valley beta w multiplayer and i still havent convinced any of my friends to start playing the game D: they dont know what their missing.
only played a few days on single player but still triggered a lot of new events. This is an older file with a finished community center, and its in new year/early spring some of these events may be seasonal/late game only

once with the kids, apparently spring onions are cheap because theyre covered in bugs. learning to clean the bugs off makes the price higher but im more horrified that ive been force feeding my poor farmer live bugs when theyre already dealing with being tired and injured. also vincent is an evil little boy and jas is an angel.
one morning evelyn came to the farm and taught me how to craft pots, i can now grow crops in pots indoors year round.
once with willy and his shack being overrun with crabs. it was a breading project apparently. Gus comes in and we both help clean them up. Gus is now selling crab cakes but what he said makes me think it may not be permanent.
once with community update. Pam and penny react to their new house. i actually restarted the day for this one. The first time i told them who i was, they were grateful but embarrassed that someone had paid for their house. also had the option to tell pam to be nicer to penny though she plans to no matter what you say. second time i decided to stay anonymous. They are less embarrassed. pam referred to the anon donor as a pure angel believing you remain anonymous to spare her family from feeling in debt. and robin said “i wouldn't go that far” to the pure angel comment. Thanks mom! (the in laws love me lol)
and last one i got was with linus. Leaving robins house we bump into him foraging. robin offers to make him lunch and he turns her down, you have the option of asking him to live on the farm or say your happy for him. i chose to say i was happy for him and he is grateful that i am a good friend who doesnt try to change him. i dont know if he actually lives on the farm if you chose the other option though.
also, dinosaur mayonaise is NOT a thing yet, dont make that mistake. im still waiting to see if flavored mead is a thing. Cactus seeds can be bought in the desert and can be grown in the greenhouse. They produce fruit but mine are not full grown yet. Marnie has a new item for sale to collect products each morning from goats/cows/sheeps, but i keep forgetting to place it so i dont know how it works.
EDIT: blue jazz honey produced regular mead. oh well, maybe someday lol.
im still making a list of glitches im running into, but im not sure i will post them here.
I’m always looking for ways to bring less obvious Pelican Town villagers together and sometimes the best way to do it is through SCIENCE. So I’ve coded a wee generator that gives you two characters (sometimes the same one twice but just go with it…) and a story prompt/title. Hopefully it will stoke the creative fires for fanfic and ficlets here. :)
Always looking for suggestions to add to the titles so please feel free to send me those. Also Krobus/Dwarf/Sandy/Gunther/Marlon SHOULD come up less but my coding skills only came into existence about an hour ago so feel free to tell me they’re appearing too often and I’ll try and tweak it.
Feedback always appreciated! Also thinking about doing a slightly murkier version so would be interested to find out if there’s a place for that…
Finished the Stardew Valley sims! I started running out of room to position them towards the end, so Elliott ended up on the ground, lol. Somehow, I feel like that suits him.

im very happy to have access to stardew valley again, but now i remember how frustrating the monster layout is lol i never expect them to pop up when im running home in the middle of the night. I died coming home and quit out of frustration today before even finishing a day and making any progress. xD
on the plus side I’m past the stupid fishing layout.

warning :This will be a very long post talking on story of seasons/my thoughts on some bachelors. very sorry but i want to write my thoughts down somewhere x-x
When i first got the game i was going to marry ford, but wound up liking wayne, ludus and yuzuki better, After wayne asked me out I started regretting going after all three and was thinking to either break up or restart the file and go after ludus, but after getting the rest of waynes flower events I’m not going to do. I like him a lot and the problems i had with him are less (spoilers below cut)
Wayne : At first the thing i liked most about wayne was that he was fords friend. Ford would say something off, he’d point it out to ford and tease him a bit for it, and still defend him as a good person (both when you meet ford and during his restaurant event.) I suck at dealing with others and can come off as a jerk as well, and it's always nice to have a friend who's ok pointing it out but will still stand by and defend you like that. I also liked going to him each day and seeing the new ways he’d try to flirt with player, eventually i grew attached :3
I didnt like some other parts to his character because it seemed as though he puts on a different face for girls than he does for guys(with not wanting to upset girls i mean, I don't care if he seeks and enjoys attention and i actually really like flirtiness so that wasn't a problem). I also didnt like that others kept saying how perfect he is when i see so many flaws(which i know was intentional now).
the yellow through pink flower events make it very clear that he doesn't like to do things to upset anyone, The pink flower event especially focuses on how others view him and worrying about not living up to that and disappointing people if he doesn't.. With a lot of his stuff the thing i didnt like was how he dealt with girls and not wanting to upset them, even girls who crossed the line (the stalkerish girl in the first cutscene, the fangirl who took pictures without him knowing, mirandas hugs) because I thought it is less “he doesn't want to upset people” and more “he doesn't want to upset women” specifically, which seems like treating grown women like children. It’s still there after the events, the game as a whole has a very old fashioned mindset with gender especially. Most dateable characters say things at some point that puts this weird vibe out there. With him it is extra obvious because of how he flirted and also because his grandfather's lessons in how to be a gentlemen put a focus on how to treat women, but it no longer seems worse with him than any other characters to me. Much of what he did through the game i thought was more based on that mindset rather than a perfectionist/don't upset anyone, but now i can read it both ways. IDK, but my biggest turn offs were people going on about how perfect he is and him trying to to upset girls specifically, and after seeing these scenes i read those other interactions differently and it doesn't bug me anymore, at least anymore than similar dialogue does with other characters.
He is very different from the type of character i usually date in these types of games but I’m happy about that actually =D
Anyway, With player character one of the positives is that he can be open about having flaws and failures without worrying he's going to disappoint. That seemed like it was the theme of the pink flower event. It made his character make much more sense to me. i do think his character development could have been handled better like they did with fords events, but its really cute anyway ^-^ at this point i do like him better than ludus (sorry ludus ;-;) so i wont be breaking up.
but i still haven't seen ludus’s dating cutscenes so i will play through again to do that too.
Ford : When i first got the game, i thought i would be going after ford, but i had more problems with him than i thought i would. On the plus side i love the way they did his personality. He is probably the most similar to me in terms of real life personality/dealing with others(if i ignore that he's meant to be intelligent xD). I can very easily come off as rude or mean spirited without meaning to be(i tend not to talk much at least) i think they did a good job showing he has no social skills and that he can come of as mean without actually making him a mean person. He still seems to care a lot about people but just doesn't get them.
but there were things about how they did him that i didnt like. Games like this always show intelligence by having characters spout off facts and information, i know some people like that sort of thing but to me because the information is usually something the player can understand it just makes them seem like a person who is trying to sound smart. I’d honestly prefer him if they didnt make him a “smart” character at all. I also don't like that he is a neat freak... this was actually the biggest reason. i cant handle him, I am ok wanting to be neat yourself but i always have trouble when people force it on me. i'm overly disorganized, this would bother me too much to marry xD
Ludus : Ludus seemed really bland before i played so i was surprised i started liking him so much. his relationship with the twins is adorable. i really wish there were more cutscenes with the three of them interacting. there's so much dialogue between them it feels like an actual family. He is very kindhearted and helpful but also comes off as shy when his feelings start in the early flower events. I think he has the best interactions/relationships in general of any of the bachelors. He hangs out with the kids in Lulukoko even outside of the cutscenes with them, when you talk to them they don't just explain his character type/personality to you, they talk about what they do with him like you would with an actual person you hang out with.
my biggest problem with him was his character didnt always make sense(?) the twins tell stories of how he can be a bit spacy/ditzy/blockheaded(idk how to explain) but the actual events don't make him seem that way at all, he seems the opposite. in a way he seemed too perfect and i kind of would have prefered to see more of the blockhead side of him xD. I want to still play through again to see the rest of his events and hopefully see more to that. i really wish there were more than two slots so i could have a permanent file with him as well.
Yuzuki : I didnt really have any problems with yuzuki(aside from his blushy picture) he has a very laidback and relaxed attitude. I came across his sloppy cutscene after dealing with ford's neatfreak dialogue, i remember that made me happy xD i didnt like him as much as i do wayne and ludus but I liked how positive he was about everything. he also seemed very naive/easily manipulated though.There is some dialogue about a deal with a gem seller which was obviously a scam, his parents seem to have abandoned him but he doesn't seem to recognize it. Being naive isn’t something i wouldn't date for, i'm actually glad he has some quirks, it makes his personality stick with me more.
Hinata : i will be honest, i didnt want to date him from the beginning, and i don't have much of an opinion on him now. i wish there were more interactions/dialogue with him and other people, like ludus has with the kids, his best scenes were the two friend scenes, with yuzuki and the kids, the love scenes didnt stand out much to me. i think i might have gotten a stronger impression of his character if i had more of a feel for how he interacts with others in the community..
I didnt check the date before i hired robin and did this again D: demetrius will be dancing alone on his birthday again. ;-; I’ve done it 3 times to him now, I am a horrible daughter in law.
