men really be like “well this woman has studied this subject her whole life, and i am a man, so we have equal knowledge on this”
it’s ok you could have just said “i hate men”
okay, i hate men
It's bizarre how femicide and sexual assault aren't recognized as hate crimes by the majority of the world
i think every single man who watches porn should die painfully and violently actually
1990 - CAREER WOMEN / satirical figurative sculpture / earthenware / 19 1/2″ x 12 1/2″ / by San Francisco-born museum exhibited and collected ceramicist, spiritualist, feminist, provocateur, studio potter, pioneering sculptor, member of the New York Dada group, avid journal writer, and drawer, BEATRICE WOOD (1893 -1998) aka MAMA DADA
Queer theory is so funny to me as African because I'll see all these people in the western countries trying to assign meanings to clothes and to pronouns and to parts of their personalities, they'll believe that changing their clothes or their pronouns or their language or their behavior will exempt them from misogyny. And while I understand that it is a condition of the System to keep us all separated, I can't help but bristle at the racism behind this all.
If any of these liberals had bothered to read, they would know that there exists many many communities indigenous to Africa whose languages don't have gendered pronouns, where clothing rules are different. Where men and women dressed the same, where the rules of nudity are different. Where men are effeminate. And in most, if not all of these communities, misogyny will still be rampant.
My community used to allow female to female marriages but all those women were still circumcised. My language does not have "she" or "he" but that did not save any of us from misogyny. My friend's community doesn't even have gendered slurs and she still had to run away when she was 11 so that she wouldn't be circumcised. There is no solution other than uprooting the whole system. Creating more categories does nothing.
does anyone have that post about OSHA compliant sex work? something about a dude who shows up to a guy's house in full ppe to give him a dry handjob
i 🩵 abortion
i 🩵 divorce
i 🩵 homosexual behaviors
Not trying to start shit but if you're a bi woman genuinely why the fuckkkkkk would you date m*n. Even if you can't find a woman to date you, in what universe is that preferable to just being single
We got that fine classic literature on the island
Uhh, that's just toxic aristocracy. Real aristocrats protect their vassals!
men supporters are like it's so unfair that women get to cry and cut themselves and men are only allowed to show their feelings by mass shooting
I hear Leftists call people Uterus-Havers and Vagina-Owners often, but I rarely see the same energy directed towards people with penises and that makes me very sad, so I figured I should be kind and include them in my blinkies, let’s hope they love them!
Gosh, these are gold.
we should bring back she/her as the generic pronoun
im not joking btw im talking about how it used to be pretty common for communist writers to use she/her to refer to a generic worker/person/etc as a #feminist thing. it's more common to use gender-neutral language now but the problem is people are still constantly assuming that the default person is male, even when non-gendered language is used. she/her at least has the effect on the reader of like, giving them a stern look and saying "remember women exist". anyway i want us to bring this back
and before anyone gets silly, no it's not misgendering people who don't use she/her, unless you believe all the cis male writers who did/do this also believe that Everyone On Earth Is A Woman. it's a political writing choice
i'm not sure people understand what we are saying. when we say "your male childhood and continued biological male existence is a privilege" we don't mean "you're privileged even though you would rather be gender nonconforming rather than adhere to the strict role of masculinity imposed on male people" like. nobody is talking about you being privileged specifically and only for playing with boy toys and wearing boy clothes and getting boy haircuts. little girls have to deal with the exact same thing, some of them with dysphoria too, some of them just at odds with the way female children are restricted by the boxes they're shoved into.
a male child's boxes are "you have to be strong" "you can't cry" "you have to do boy things" "you should expect to father children when you grow up". meanwhile, a girl child's boxes are "you need to expect to grow up into a wife and mother instead of your own person" "you can't go play outside because you can't get dirty/you have to do inside chores/take care of your siblings" "you are not as capable as your male peers because you're female and the whole world is going to treat you that way" "you are an object for males" "you're not allowed to wear a tampon or else you won't be a virgin" "you have to be skinny and attractive so that you're a better object than the fats amd uglies" among others
i think that's a little different is it not... nobody cares that you were uncomfortable being masculine as a kid. little girls are uncomfortable being feminine. do you think you're special? do you think little girls don't have enough depth to them to be uncomfortable with being feminine? is that something exclusive to male children? you people think you lack male privilege just because you didn't want to, or felt uncomfortable with, or were unable to perform your role. that does not negate the fact that you have it. male privilege is the absence of female oppression. the entire reason you have male privilege is simply because you do not and will not experience sex-based, female oppression.
Knowing pretty much all men watch porn actually makes me sick to my core. Sometimes I’ll interact with men then i just remember this fact and it makes me shut down immediately and it’s so hard to recover my composure. You’re smiling at me but i know what you do when you’re alone, what abhorrent dehumanising shit you’re looking at. Idk how we’re supposed to go on day by day ignoring this reality it makes me feel insane
