In canon, he does acknowledge what the cultist has done and is capable of doing, but he cares for him anyways. Apparently the magical power of love (and the fact that he's killed the Moon Lord... Seer doesn't really have anything to worship anymore) is enough to bring him back down to earth (pun intended) a bit. (NPCs aren't happy with him being there though, so Seer tends to either keep to himself or hang around Eos all the time.)

had the weirdest dream where they were making a cookie run kingdom movie and Steve Harvey was casted as Dark Cacao, they didn't even give him a costume other than the wig/crown and shoulderpads but this is pretty much what it looked like
