hermes and little dionysus as the magician card for the dionysian tarot deck ☤
love how even in a Dionysian tarot deck Hermes is still the magician
Okay, we all know I'm not a Christian, gods forbid, however I was raised by messianic jews, which is as close as Jews get to Christianity without actually being christian
And my father, specifically, for all his faults(and there are many) did do one thing right
Introduce me to Godspell!, a musical group of clowns reenacting the story of Jesus.
And one thing that always stuck out to me was the setting.
It was set in a mostly empty city, Manhattan I think, and the only time you see other, normal people, is before the group meets Jesus and after he dies
So, imagine for a second. You're a normal person going about your day. Bussing tables, reading between rush hours, getting coffee on your library book for the third time that day and you know you're gonna have to pay for it and–
And then you meet this hippie teacher dude, with wild hair and peace in his eyes.
And everything quiets. The world seems to fade away as you join this weird group of people jut as enamored with this guy as you are. And you're learning so many things, and you're feeling more alive than you ever felt before.
And then... he dies. And then the world, the noise, all comes rushing back and you... you're still changed. Changed and thrust back into the world that doesn't even know who he was, doesn't even know what was lost...
I'm not Christian. But Godspell? That deserves to be seen by everyone.
you know what really annoys me about christianity?
the fact that they are actively, almost willingly, blind to the hypocrisies they teach he's a fair and just god, but he's, in some sects, letting children and those who weren't baptized suffer in hell eternally? he's kind and generous, but refuses his 'all loving' heart to those who don't believe in him or sin? Yeah, the other gods are vengeful and jealous, but at least they're honest about it
I think I'm becoming more and more aligned with Aphrodite than Persephone...
Which is a little sad I think because Persephone was one of the first goddesses I reached out to and she's starting to feel farther away than when I first met her.
Can one mourn a relationship with a goddess?
Am I a bad worshipper if I want to lean closer to the sea, the heart, the beauty of Aphrodite? When devotional acts and prayers come so naturally with her?
I still want to honor Persephone, would she be upset if I worship Aphrodite more?
I always find it interesting that even aside from the feminists' fascination with Medusa, the image of the snake wreathed woman herself has been preserved better than the fact she was killed by the heroic man of myth, Perseus.
I myself didn't know she was killed until I started reading greek mythos, and had to literally look up his name for this post.
Imagine you're a man who's killed this beautiful, terrible 'beast', and you're basically a footnote in her story in the modern eye.
That must be a real kick in the balls.
Meant to post this here, but yeah 😅
I don’t know how about others, but since I started worshiping gods I feel like a child again.
When I was a child, every day was an adventure. Elves in the woods who needed me to built houses made from sticks, leaves and moss. Monsters under my bed that could be defeated by my plushies…
The magic of childhood, that I thought it slowly left as I was growing up, is back again. Maybe in different form, but it doesn’t matter.
I know I must look silly, childish or crazy when I wave at the sun to greet my wonderful lord Apollo. Or when I giggle and playfully scold wind spirt, because the cold “pinched” my cheeks. But why should I care?
Also I am able to enjoy simple small things again like when I used to get excited over candy as a child.
I have never been so excited for spring as I am now, because I know the sun will shine directly on my bed at noon, making it warm - ideal for small naps.
I'm even looking forward to Valentine's Day, because I can use it to celebrate it by giving my attention to my beautiful lady Aphrodite.
I used to hate driving, but now I love it thanks to my dear lord Hermes, since I know he’s watching over me.
I love feeling like a child again.

Things I use my moonwater for but it progressively gets more unhinged
╚════════════════════════. .៚.╝
♡ Water-based spells such as spray bottles for room cleansings or homemade perfumes
♡ Watering my plants with it to give them some personal energy
♡ Boiling it for my tea or hot cocoa to have that extra little magickal ✨️kick✨️ especially when I'm sick
♡ Giving it to Aphrodite in a heart shaped glass bowl with some floating candles and/or flower petals as a libation
♡ Pouring it in my bathwater for cleansing and/or energy raising
♡ Washing my face with it for that extra beauty boost in beauty spells
♡ Dumping it in my washing machine so my clothes are both physically and metaphysically cleansed
♡ Adding it to my ramen water, might not make it physically healthier but hey my soul can enjoy this ramen too
♡ Pouring it in my humidifier, just a constant stream of cleansing and protection in my room to keep me from giving into the voices
♡ Giving some to my cats water dish, she deserves to enjoy the moons energy too
╔.៚. .════════════════════════╗
And that's all I've got at the top of my head. Also happy Valentines Day!! I'm absolutely going to make at least one Valentines related post after work today.

OK but the humidifier one is genius though
hey yall maybe i made a fast choice but i recently decided to devote myself to and worship five gods. I have been devoted to Lady Aphrodite since the start but I decided to branch out and worship Lady Athena, Lord Apollo, Lord Dionysus, and Lord Hermes. Anyone have tips for worshiping multiple gods? I know realistically I can handle it and I want to, I just need a place to start lol
I assign days to my deities, Friday for Aphrodite, Sunday for Apollo, ect. I would look up which day of the week your deities correlate to and focus on them on that day
I love room guardians, go make yourself one out of oven bake clay and paint 🫵
This is mine he even has a little backpack full of crystals to help him with his job :) what a fellow.
This... is adorable
I would like ten please
People are going around saying shit about how we're insignificant to the gods and if you believe otherwise you're ignorant and a degenerate again.
Reminder to not listen to these people and please block them and move on.
Don't let these hateful elitists damage your practice and connection
Pretty sure my mom's favorite God I worship is Hermes
I was telling her about how my first paycheck is only in a couple days, and that I'm like 90% sure it's a ploy to get his candle faster, and she was like
'Ah, that Hermes...'
like she was talking about a lovable dog and I find it hilarious
Me: Hey, Hermes, if I get this job, I'll get you one of those fancy candles from etsy
Hermes: ooo bet?
Literally HALF AN HOUR AFTER MY INTERVIEW I GOT THE CALL
Me: :0

Need an easy ritual to release something? Collect a handful of fallen leaves, focusing on whatever it is you need to let go of. When you're ready, toss the leaves into the air, letting them scatter.
No, no. We don’t crash out if someone spells ares as Aries.. that’s.. that’s so silly.. haha..
As an Aries worshipping Ares, my autocorrect is very confused lmao
how do i reconnect with deities? i miss praying and i miss them but i dont have the energy for anything spiritual anymore :(
^^^
I’d recommend just giving tiny little offerings, like water or a stone you find that you like. Or for praying, it doesn’t have to be formal! You could be laying in bed and ranting to your deities about your day.
I like saying hi to my deities whenever I see something that reminds me of them. Like whenever the sun makes cool beams of light through trees, I say hi to Apollo, when I see those 80's plates with the grapes on them I talk about how much Dionysus would fw this.
If spirituality is too much, make it whimsical ✨ ✨
