I just think Jonathan Sims being autistic is not really a headcanon anymore but like a genuine and reasonable interpretation of the source media. That’s a guy who canonically got invited to a birthday outing and spent the whole time infodumping about emulsifiers. I’m pretty sure that would’ve been specially noted on my diagnostic report if it came up during my autism assessment.

The vest is based on my own battle vest, although I just sort of drew whatever came to mind for the pins/patches. Most of it is based on stuff that I own, actually! Like I have the same studded bracelets and hat (except mine is white and navy with gold buttons). I also have him drumsticks bc I am a drummer, therefore extremely bias lol

Usually I don’t use the same color for all of my lineart, but I just didn’t have the patience for this one lol

I was planning on drawing a lil Martin blushing in the corner, but I couldn’t get it to look cohesive with Jon so I scrapped it, but he’s the one taking the photo. Trust.

As a scientist I find the concept of Cecil freely yapping about Carlos on the radio so funny because if I was in the lab just going about my experiments and then some person on the radio started talking about how hot I am I would get clowned on it by my coworkers beyond belief. Every time I walked into the lab the grad students there would’ve been like “there he is with his perfect hair 😩” and if the centrifuge broke “try asking it to work with your sweet caramel voice 😫” like deadass the lab would be insufferable for months
