These posts never get much traction on tumblr but I really, REALLY need help, and I would appreciate it if you could donate if possible, or at least reblog to spread it.

Long sob story: My wife and I (and their girlfriend) were offered a place to stay in January when we, three disabled trans folks, were unable to keep paying $1300 in rent. We were assured that this was our home as well, that our friend would never kick us out and definitely wouldn't make any moving plans without a discussion/agreement on all sides.

Until we called her out on some fucked up, predatory behavior. She spent the last two weeks either avoiding us (despite claiming to be sorry and wanting to fix things) or, the few times she was home, being cruel and abusive toward us. She told us over text today that we have til the end of September to move (still looking into the legality of that in New York State, but that's besides the point).

We're all varying degrees and kinds of disabled. I had to quit my job months ago because my POTS and arthritis got so bad I couldn't be up and moving for even fifteen minutes at a time. My wife is physically disabled and working a part-time job that is breaking their body. If you bottled our collective mental health right now, you could use it to poison someone. Simply put, we're fucked.

We're trying to save up enough for us to be able to buy a crappy trailer or put a down-payment on a shitty house, whatever we can manage. Rent is atrocious in our area, and we have four cats, reptiles, and fish that we have to move with. Giving up our cats is NOT an option. Those beasts are the only thing keeping us clinging to life some days. We also need to keep up with car payments, insurance, and phone bill.

Please donate if you can. No amount is too small. I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty, but I don't know what we're gonna do if we can't get some help from the community.

Hi friends. We're officially at the emergency gofundme stage of struggling to keep up with bills. My wife's car was towed today for late car payments. We are both disabled and have a ton of appointments we need to get to, including my surgery at the end of the month. They won't be able to get to work anymore, and we're already down one income because I can't work right now.

We have one week (until the 24th) to pay off over $1,200 or their car will be auctioned off. We CANNOT get by without our car. Please, if you're able to give anything at all, it would make a big difference. Even if you can't, please please reblog this.

The more despair I endure in life, the more I love Frodo. I'm just. I'm so glad that Tolkien wrote him like that. He was a hero and it broke him. He was given too much to carry. The circumstances were dire, everyone was doing the best they could, and Frodo tried so hard, for such a good cause, and he...broke. And the narrative has pity for him, the characters show him kindness. Even after victory, his hurts did not heal, and it isn't considered his fault. He must go to the undying lands, to seek out peace there. In universe, he is forgiven for being human - don't be pedantic - and his great torment is recognized. He fell. He could not have done it alone. He is still a hero.

by the way, for people who don't understand what the issue with "delulu" is, let me put it this way. i know a kid who uses delulu in day to day speech to refer to her crushes, or her favorite fictional ships, or other people liking things she doesn't. this is common. one day, she found out from an ex friend of mine that i used to honestly believe i was the second coming of jesus christ. when she asked me about it, i told her it was a delusion. she said "honey, you're not delusional, you're straight up insane." if non-psychotics take "delusional" and make it mean anything less than what it does mean, it leaves us with no word less than insane, or nuts, or crazy.
