If they really had to make a mash remake as like a movie and they committed to making it messy and sweaty and greasy as the show I would want Ryan Gosling for BJ. The man has shown he can carry a messy sweaty period aesthetic in The Nice Guys. Alan Alda however has no modern substitutes

listened to the welcome to korea mashcast today and i can’t believe i never looked up who coleman hawkins was before rob explained it on the podcast

i can’t believe it’s basically bj asking “you’re making all of this stuff up right?” and hawkeye understanding and answering yes…. rudyard kipling 2.0………

Period of adjustment this, oh how we danced that, my comfort episode is the Yalu Brick Road because I love Mike Farrell deciding that his first episode is gonna be BJ as a hot happy-go-lucky himbo who rides motorcycles and lies constantly, Hawkeye as his motorcycle sidecar sidekick who he loves desperately, and the sweet Korean soldier who they make jokes about third wheeling them on their cute walking date : meanwhile charles is forced at gunpoint to do ‘women’s’ work and Potter gets to act nauseous for a whole episode

It’s a sweet mash fluff fic about beej and hawk’s stupid crushes on each other and how dumb they get around each other when they’re on a date and also it’s an episode about Charles getting stepped on by a furious Margaret there’s nothing wrong with this episode

I know I just said hepatitis is a perfect episode but movie tonight has everything! The MASH cast doing mystery science theater 3000, father Mulcahy impression contest, musical improv, insufferable beejhawk banter, everyone committing to the shoot out bit, and the most melancholy rendition of oh my darling clementine ever capture on film, what more could you ask for!!
