I was wondering if I could take over as a mod and organize a Bat Big Bang in 2025? I love this event and I think several people are interested to participate. I already have some experience running fandom events such as Rainbow Exchange and Enemies to Lovers Exchange and DC events like DC Trans Week and Jason Todd-centric Exchange. I also have a lot of free time to dedicate to running the bang. If you're amenable, you can message me on Tumblr or Discord :)

Hi, Gabriel here! I don't have any plans to run the BBB again. It might get resurrected again someday, but it's a big commitment and not something I have time for in the next couple years. I'd love to see other ship-friendly Bangs crop up in the Bat fandom, though! If I ever hear of any, the info will be reblogged here so it can show up on more people's radars. :)

The Drake bloodline is an old family bloodline. Not old by Gotham City standards—but old in blood and rituals. Historian Jack and archeologist Janet Drake started to dig their fingers into these old roots, filled with rites and ancient knowledge—some of which are better left to the lost annals of history.

Jason Todd might not know the meaning of life, but he does figure out the meaning of his life, somewhere in between killing the Joker and ringing the doorbell to Wayne Manor. Or, a canon-divergent take of Lost Days and Countdown to Final Crisis, where Under the Red Hood doesn’t happen.

i participated in this year's @batbigbang and drew for faia's fic, who was a very wonderful person to work with, and who wrote a fic that is so up my alley, i had trouble choosing what to draw! :') it's super great, and it features multiverse shenanigans, which is why i got to draw one jason judging another jason's red hood shtick 😂

Author’s Notes: This is the longest fic I've written and a doozy to write, but I'm so happy to bring into the world my take on Jason Todd. This is a canon soup where I cherry-pick elements from comics that spark joy and have fun playing in the DC sandbox. Shoutout to my fellow mods of the BBB for making this happen and to my beta @wingdingery. BIGGEST THANK YOU to my artist reinydraws who has done delightful art for this fic.

Artist’s Notes: I just want to thank the mods for putting this event together, and to my author Faia for writing such a great story! It was really cool to read about Jason visiting all these different universes--especially when I knew that there is going to be so much more to of those universes discover once the fic is complete--and it was fun to see the writing process of a fic author at work. This Bang was full of really great artists and authors and it was a pleasure to be a part of it. :)

Author’s Notes: I’ve been writing fanfics for a long time and recently gathered up the courage to try to properly post them. I saw the challenge and decided to interact with others in the community and force myself to focus on publishing a work in full. I decided on this one as I had quite a bit of material. Most importantly I really wanted to see Lex/Bruce art. Rikki/Trekkle, the amazing artist I was paired with, has provided! I ended up finally having my own fanfic author moment where a bunch of personal stuff happened but I still really had to write this fic. The kind mod team and Trekkle have been very understanding and I appreciate it so much. Having the art to look at has given me motivation to work on the longest thing I have ever written. It was far more difficult than I expected, as I don’t usually publish, editing is an unfamiliar skill. It’s taught me a lot about where I can improve. I hope that publishing this will encourage me to publish more work so that I can become a better writer. Here’s to the five other people in the Lex/Bruce tag!

Artist’s Notes: I had such a good time working with this fic, which is an absolutely delightful tangle of identity porn and unexpected character development and fantastic plot work. I wanted to incorporate as much as I could of the reactions around Bruce and Lex, which were so much fun to read, into my art for this fic, and a comic page felt like it could really catch that relationship developing over time. And since Bruce flirts his way into a corner with Lex, which is a very Cher-in-Clueless move, a mock rom-com poster felt like the obvious choice for this fic. Tigoon was such a dream to work with, I had a great time reading their fic and trying to guess what happens next.

The only problem is, his old life can’t seem to let him go. Word Count: 50,897

Author’s Notes: At the end of Dick's time in Spyral, Doctor Dedelus activates the Somnus Satellite, erasing Dick's existence from the world. This is handwaved at the end by Helena saying she hacked the satellite mid-mind-fight to add an exceptions list of her, the Batfam, and some others (and handwaved even more by DC pretending this ever happened) but I’ve always had AUs floating around in the back of my mind where the handwaving didn’t happen – where, after Spyral, the world actually did forget Dick Grayson. This is just one of those potential what-could-have-beens. Thank you so much to the Bat Big Bang mods for hosting this event and giving me the push I needed to write this story. And thank you to my amazing artist partner, Lilituism, who’s been so wonderfully supportive of this story all the way through and whose art so perfectly captures the heart of the story. Artist’s Notes: I really hoped I would get to draw for this story. Dick is my absolute favourite character and I love angst and drama that has a good chance of being resolved. Author’s Notes: This fanfiction was started in summer 2021 and finished in summer 2023, thanks to the BatBigBang. It started with the very simple question "What if Tim had to deal with his parents' mistakes, but make it Lovecraft?" Originally, I planned this fic to be 15.000 words at maximum, but it just kept growing and growing. I wanted to have more cross-references to works of H.P. Lovecraft and Stephen King, but at some parts got cut in the planning stage. There were many ups and downs while writing the fic, since it is the first time I wrote something so large. Ultimately, it was a fun experience and I'm happy that I can add it to the BigBang Challenge!

Whizradio Artist’s Notes: This was so, so much fun to draw! I love spooky stories, and the fic makes an amazing job at creating a creepy atmosphere, not to mention it has pretty cool scenes; I struggled picking just two! Seriously spooky and amazing!

Author’s Notes: While I have been writing fanfic for a long time now, this was my first time taking part in a Big Bang. I was somewhat nervous beforehand, but I'm very happy with the end result! It was fun to think of what scenes could make good art, and it probably influenced the way I described things. I went quite self-indulgent with the plot and it probably shows, but hopefully it can also be enjoyable to others.

In the first piece I did I got to make a fake comic cover which was a blast and the author was so supportive and helpful through the whole process of both pieces.

This cover is not a direct scene from the story but is a different interpretation of a scene.

I had to resist adding items to the counters an weathering to the cupboard doors so much! I'm so happy with this drawing though!! The pose is more exaggerated in this than the actual scene to communicate what's happening better but I did try to keep this pretty true to the writing

Author’s Notes: This fic was born from daydreams and an overwhelming desire to have Bruce express his love for his family using his last breath. I have been informed that it is sufficiently angsty so kick back, relax, and enjoy. Thank you BBB for giving me the motivation to actually write and finish this fic. Then a certain mid-western journalist comes stumbling directly into the Bat’s lair and suddenly Bruce’s secret is in danger of being discovered. It doesn’t help that the Bat - and himself - are strangely drawn to Clark Kent from the start. Of course that’s when Superman shows up and makes things infinitely more complicated.
