Platonic Soulmates Mini Bang is dedicated to the platonic pairings Stobin & Hellcheer. Create for one or both pairings! We’ll reach out over email to confirm sign up and send the discord link, so please check your spam folder if you haven’t heard from us.
For anyone worried because they write the same trope more than once: I love that shit. I will love that first one and I will still be excited for the thirtieth one. Let these idiots do the same thing over and over again. We deserve that.
Challenge SIX!! Get excited!!! Again you know the drill where I give you a little prompt and I see how you all go with it. Don't feel like it needs to be literal, go with what's in your heart.
Prompt: Seasons
How it works:
Minimum 1k fic/writing OR 1 piece of art (which could be any of the following: drawing, podfic, poetry, graphic or fanmix) based on the prompt
Post completed works during the month anytime before midnight July 31st according to your time zone.
If posting to AO3 please tag works as 'femslash big bang monthly challenge' and add it to the AO3 collection (linked below). This makes it much easier to find works and confirm they're appropriate for the collection.
The round up post will be posted about a week later on August 7th
All Fandoms AND original works allowed, just so long as the main ship is femslash - see FAQ below or send an ask if you need anything clarified :)

Writing tips for long fics that helped me that no one asked for.
1.) Don't actually delete content from your WIP unless it is minor editing - instead cut it and put it in a secondary document. If you're omitting paragraphs of content, dialog, a whole scene you might find a better place for it later and having it readily available can really save time. Sometimes your idea was fantastic, but it just wasn't in the right spot.
2.) Stuck with wording the action? Just write the dialog then revisit it later.
3.) Stuck on the whole scene? Skip it and write the next one.
4.) Write on literally any other color than a white background. It just works. (I use black)
5.) If you have a beta, while they are beta-ing have them read your fic out loud. Yes, I know a lot of betas/writers do not have the luxury of face-timing or have the opportunity to do this due to time constraints etc but reading your fic out loud can catch some very awkward phrasing that otherwise might be missed. If you don't have a beta, you read it out loud to yourself. Throw some passion into your dialog, you might find a better way to word it if it sounds stuffy or weird.
6.) The moment you have an idea, write it down. If you don't have paper or a pen, EMAIL it to yourself or put it in a draft etc etc. I have sent myself dozens of ideas while laying down before sleep that I 10/10 forgot the next morning but had emailed them to myself and got to implement them.
7.) Remember - hits/likes/kudos/comments are not reflective of the quality of your fic or your ability to write. Most people just don't comment - even if they say they do, they don't, even if they preach all day about commenting, they don't, even if they are a very popular blog that passionately reminds people to comment - they don't comment (I know this personally). Even if your fic brought tears to their eyes and it haunted them for weeks and they printed it out and sent it to their friends they just don't comment. You just have to accept it. That being said - comment on the fic you're reading now, just do it, if you're 'shy' and that's why you don't comment the more you comment the better you'll get at it. Just do it.
8.) Remove unrealistic daily word count goals from your routine. I've seen people stress 1500 - 2000 words a day and if they don't reach that they feel like a failure and they get discouraged. This is ridiculous. Write when you can, but remove absurd goals. My average is 500 words a day in combination with a 40 hour a week job and I have written over 200k words from 2022-2023.
9.) There are dozens of ways to do an outline from precise analytical deconstruction that goes scene by scene to the minimalist bullet point list - it doesn't matter which one you use just have some sort of direction. A partial outline is better than no outline.
10.) Write for yourself, not for others. Write the fic you know no one is going to read. Write the fic that sounds ridiculous. You will be so happy you put it out in the world and there will be people who will be glad it exists.
The makers of Kinktober 2025 are back again with a brand new list! The graphics are once again created by latte-cucumber. Check out our AO3 collection, or keep reading for more information.
More information
Kinktober is a kinky October prompt challenge that’s been running in one form or another since 2016. There are three prompts for each day in October, and the challenge is to use one (or more!) of the prompts to create something for that day. If you don’t want to use any of the three daily prompts, you can swap them out for the bonus prompts at the bottom of the prompt list.
If you have any questions, check our FAQs. Unfortunately, due to personal commitments, we won't be opening our askbox for questions this year. We've made it as rules-light as possible, though, so if your question is "Can I do this?", the answer is almost certainly yes!
Hello everyone, here are the prompts for Blossoming Spring Bingo. The bingo boards will be in the up in a few days, hopefully Monday. Please look below the cut for the written list of prompts.
Sorry for the delay on bingo boards. It's been a busy few weeks. I've been working on them. There will be four sizes available, 1x5, 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5. They should be ready tomorrow.
Technically yes, we’re role playing as fans in a universe where Corroded Coffin existed.
How will people pay for the zine?
They will not! We really didn’t want to have to worry about handling payments. We do ask that people donate to a cause such as:
Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund
The Trevor Project
Feeding America
Wikipedia
Archive Of Our Own
But we don’t have the resources to actually follow up or verify. If you're unable to donate, at the very least reblog the project and know that you are still contributing to the very fabric of fandom and community that projects like this encourage.
For anyone who does donate (honor system), we will be holding a raffle for the one true printed version of this zine that will be mailed to you (if you're comfortable with sharing your IRL address. One of the mods likes sending packages, it'll be great.) Or you could download the PDF version and print yourself. See Raffle details here
Can I promote my zine wips?
Yes! Be sure to tag us so we can reblog and otherwise promote your wip. We do ask that you not show everything so we can maintain a little bit of mystery before the final zine gets revealed.
Can I reuse a past work?
No, work that was already posted somewhere will not be accepted.
Will everyone’s work get accepted?
Unfortunately no. We don’t have a strict page limit in mind yet, but there will be a limit, which means that we may have to say no to some really incredible pitches if we end up getting more interest than expected or multiple entries of the same idea.
Our goal is to have an even (as much as possible) distribution across band members and art genres. This means that if you pitched something that’s similar to what a lot of other people pitched, we may not be able to include your work.
Introducing Feast or Fester: Corroded Coffin 40th Anniversary Zine
Pitch Submissions open today, March 27th and close on Sunday, April 26th.
Interested in contributing? Fill out our form here.
What is this?
For a few glorious months, let’s pretend that Corroded Coffin existed, and that 2026 is their 40th anniversary of being totally metal. (Yes, it has been 40 years since 1986!!! Feels like we just met the CC Boys Yesterday)
This is a zine to celebrate everything Corroded Coffin – that means all of the members, the music, the fans, even the embarrassing stage moments or interview bloopers.
The goal of this project is to use our creativity in an accessible and interactive (and most importantly free) way. In the end, our "zine" will have several formats. A living Tumblr Blog (yes, Tumblr will finally become this generation’s PDF) akin to so many rockband fansites that came before, as well as some printable PDF options for you to download. We'll also hold a charity raffle (via honor system) to pick one lucky winner who gets the zine in a fancy printed paper format.
Anything that celebrates 40 years of Corroded Coffin
Some examples are:
Rolling stone style interviews
Album Covers
Fan mail -- maybe heartthrob Gareth wrote back to a fan
Corroded Coffin song lyrics with artist commentary
Actual original songs (please, we would do anything) -- The actual recording would be uploaded to the Tumblr blog version of the zine. The PDF version will have the song lyrics with a link to wherever we uploaded the song
Homebrew monsters -- They still play DnD, even 40 years later
Band t-shirts
Go wild! We only ask that your pitches should be something you can fit within 2-4 pages. That means:
Written works can have at most 2k words
Visual works must fit across at most two pages
Works created using Generative AI such as Sora, Claude, ChatGPT, etc. will not be accepted.
How can I pitch?

When can I pitch?
Pitch submissions open on Friday, March 27th at 9AM EST
Pitch submissions close Sunday, April 26th at 10PM EST
give love to ongoing fics too. not just one shots or completed works.
while “writers write for themselves first and foremost” and “fanfic reading is a form of self care and no reader should feel pressured to kudos or comment on the fic they read” are both true, kudos and positive comments are still so appreciated. and as a fellow writer, I can tell for a fact that while I do write for myself and my own enjoyment, seeing lovely comments from my readers always motivates me to write more and write faster.
unfortunately some people choose to avoid ongoing fics because they either want to wait for the whole thing to get posted first or they’re afraid writers will abandon the works and leave those works unfinished. but the thing is that if you want long, multi-chapter fics, letting writers know you love and appreciate their hard works by giving them kudos and commenting nice things on their ongoing fics will almost definitely always motivate writers to write. and also, writing can be hard. I know writers who pull all-nighters doing researches on their fics. I know writers who put so much time, effort and dedication into their fics. the fics they allow people to read for free. please let them know you love and appreciate their works if you can, especially with the raise of bots (it can be super discouraging for a writer to see that the only comments their fics get are from bots and scam).
kudos and comments help writers write more fics. appreciate fanfic writers. appreciate fan artists. appreciate ongoing fics.
I write multi chapter fics. Some of my fics have 35 chapters. And I wouldn't post them or abandon them if there was no feedback. I would simply stop writing them if there was nobody reacting. Don't get me wrong, I write fic that I don't post. But I would never put the effort into a novel style quality fic if it weren't for readers feedback.
Get your ass of your hands and give ongoing fics excited feedback of you want the writers to continue!
Here's my little (and late) contribution to the @batboysxprompts Friday Stedd13 Flash event 😊🍀
Camp Counselors Steddie at Camp Crystal Lake are in Danger - 19.03.2026
I was immediately hit by the concept of the boys being Camp Counselors at Crystal Lake and soon to be victims of Jason Voorhees !
And yes, I had them making out on a patch of grass with clovers 🤭
Done using ink pens, colored pencils, gel pens, alcohol markers, acrylic paint pens and Photoshop for the environement, the logos on the tee-shirts and shoes, for Eddie's jewelry and Steve's watch. Eddie's tattoo, and for Jason Voorhees
