Everyone in this family cracks jokes
Alfred has his own that just quietly roast you when you’ve don’t something wrong
Bruce’s are usually like a side comment that only one or two people hear, but they’re hilarious
Damian is the same way, except his tend to be a little harsh
Tim, Duke and Steph have the same “haha I’m dead inside” humor that’s incredibly gen z
All three are often seen or heard quoting vines
- Cass’ jokes are just adorable but hilarious because they’re so blunt
Jason tend to just be completely monotone, but surprisingly, they’re not as dark humored as most would’ve expected
The dark humor title actually goes to Dick
ESPECIALLY if they’re out on patrol and something gross or horrible happens
No one expected those jokes from him so every time they hear it they all freak a little
The first time it happens is when Steph goes “I wonder how stars die”
And in the same beat Dick goes “usually an overdose”
They all have these certain ways of coping through things too
Some of course aren’t healthy but 🤷🏻♀️
Damian tends to surround himself with his animals or draws like the gardens at the manor
Which in turn keeps him awake when he’s invested in a book
He also tends to pick at things
Like “oh, there a piece of this shirt that’s loose”
- And then he just picks at the string until the shirt basically needs to be thrown away
Tim will actually surround himself in blankets and watch comfort shows from his childhood
His favorite to watch when things are really bad is Phineas and Ferb
And it could be anything and everything
Ice cream and waffles tends to be her top choices
Cass does dance routines until she drops, so Steph makes sure she’s being taken care of when she’s stressed
“no Cass, you need to drink and eat something I don’t care if you’re in the middle of a routine”
Dick tends to jump between healthy coping mechanisms and unhealthy ones
The family usually knows which one he falls to depending on the situation and his mood after (insert traumatic situation here)
His healthy ones usually consist of doing gymnastics routines and listening to chill music to help him calm down
For bad habits, he obsesses over everything he could’ve done better
To the point where he forgets to eat, drink and sleep
He wills also chew on his nails and fingers
There was one point when he was a teenager that he was chewing on his fingers enough to make them bleed and Wally walked through his bedroom door like “wtf man are you hurt?!”
All and all though, when they know everyone is going through something, they tend to gather at the manor and watch Disney movies
They drag Bruce and Alfred to watch them too
Dick tends to bring Wally
Towards the end they all just end up in one great big cuddle pile
