Unpopular opinion and I don’t mean to sound like. Unwoke but tbh I think a lot of ppl make way too big a deal of stuff like zodiacs.

Like, is is pseudoscience? Yes, like a lot of other “proven” personality tests. Is some stuff in the New Age circle perpetuating very harmful and dangerous ideas? ABSOLUTELY and we shouldn’t stop calling that out.

But my issue comes in when people start raging when someone says they’re a Leo or smth and I think y’all need to realize that the zodiac worshipping stereotype isn’t true for a lot of people in real life and they quite literally just treat it like a personality test. Do some of them gain harmful ways of thinking from things like horoscopes and star charts and such? Yes!

But I think the way to talk to friends and family (and even strangers if they’re okay with you talking on an emotional level) that gain harmful ideas like this is to gently but firmly be like “Hey, I’m glad you have something you enjoy but I think right now you’re getting the idea that you and others have stagnant personality types and you should maybe think on where that’s coming from” and they’ll be WAY more likely to listen to you than if you’re like “ERM you know that’s FAKE right”

I’m not even really saying anything except you can’t just start talking to people like an asshole because. They’re gonna assume you’re an asshole LOL. This isn’t even unique to the debate on zodiacs tbh

This is most likely bc we missed a bill payment so me and my partner are handling that as I speak, but that probably means our refrigerated foods are going to go bad today and uhhh. We do need to eat!

I’m currently unemployed (trying to apply for disability and actively job hunting) and my partner is the only one who is able to bring income back and it’s already a struggle as is but usually I’m just kind of too proud to ask for help to be honest aha.

we didn't receive enough help with rent so i was only able to put in a partial payment. my bank account is in the negatives now. utility bill later this month. still falling behind on owed rent too. monthly rent is now $1,097.

so this probably isn't the best move but hi I'm sierra/jack and I dropped out of undergrad four years ago because of the pandemic and other mental health issues and I'm in a fairly decent place to return to try and get my associate's degree but despite the grants I still have to pay over $1k out of pocket. fortunately I can do payment plans but the first payment is due by the 27th or else I'm not going to actually go back

anything helps really, I'm going to try and see if I can work extra hours at work to beef up my next paycheck and hopefully cover more of the amount but they also won't let me do overtime, so that hinders things. reblogs help too, I'll try and update with a progress amount if/when I get anything ;_;

it's official. I need help again.

And I am so sorry to do this once again. I'm Kacper, a 26 year old Polish autistic trans man who has been in heavy debt. I am unable to pay my bills, and my parents have said that the only thing I can do is move in with them. We do not get along, and they had previously tried to cut me off, but they are right. I cannot stay in the UK, not just due to the salaries here being too low to keep me afloat but also because it's becoming more and more dangerous for me to stay here as a trans person. I have to leave my entire life behind.

I need to pay back a bill debt before I leave in September. It's racked up to over £3000, so I'm setting my goal at £4000. This will also cover travel costs and bills I need to pay before I leave for good.
