But in order to scan them quickly, they cut the spine out and trim the pages, effectively destroying these books, and then "recycle" the remains. A judge says it's legal. a really really really underrated feeling in learning a different language is when you start to hear words. as in it's no longer a string of sounds, you can parse through where words start and stop as you're hearing them. even words that you don't know what they mean yet but you can distinctly hear it as a whole word
