its really unfortunate that padme no longer used the body double approach to security after aotc because the concept of the queen of fakeout deaths being married to the guy who loses his shit at the thought of her dying is honestly the wildest fucking thing and i think it's underutilised. let's give anakin a few trial runs before his big breakdown ok. maybe seeing padme getting assassinated live on space tv on a monthly basis will let him microdose on acceptance and inner peace. he can get into a different stage of grief each time and maybe when rots rolls around he will be fine

one time I wrote a sw fic set during the OT which referenced a poster of anakin skywalker and someone in the comments described it as a wanted poster, and to this day it remains one of the funniest ideas i've ever encountered. the thought of the EMPIRE issuing wanted posters for Anakin Skywalker, whether that be Palpatine ironically to torture Vader or just the general imperial machine at work to eliminate all Jedi, all while Vader is watching the hullabaloo like🧍‍♂️

It's been snowing all day today, so apart from work and this, I had nothing else to do soooo

I couldn't find any concepts of Vader without a costume that align with my vision, so I drew it myself.

What bothers me about other variations? Well, in the movie, he (IMHO) looks too old, he was like 45-ish at the time of his death. The canon states that he modified the suit many times to suit himself, and considering the bacta tank and medical droids, I think he could have made his face and body look more acceptable (i remember reading that it is possible, just Sidious decided to not fuck with it), plus his face was essentially almost completely unburned -v-

About the musclessss… well, because he's ripped without the suit in the comics too, i thooooought why not, the dark side of steroid, you know 🤪
