Well, September is here and with it come two baffling realizations:
1) Where the hell did summer go?!
2) We actually, honest to goddess, against all bloody odds, managed to take on and COMPLETE the AU_gust Event - and with everything posted on time!
Maybe you are subscribed to us on AO3 and got daily email updates. Maybe you follow us on Twitter and have seen our daily blasts there. Maybe you have no earthly clue who we are or what we do.
For your convenience, please click Keep Reading below to view our shiny new list of every AU_gust prompt linking you to the appropriate AO3 fic in order (not that the order matters so much!). Every story features Hannigram and most are rated M or higher! Please mind the tags on individual fics, this is quite a beast of a list to post all together and adding tags for every fic will probably crash all of Tumblr for how long this post would get (plus we really had fun with them this month!).

Day 1 - Fantasy
Rating: M
Title: Dragon Rider
Day 2 - College
Summary: Hannibal Lecter is one of the last remaining Dragons, and he prides himself on the fact he’s never taken a Rider and doesn’t plan on ever doing so. His sister Mischa is still a fledgling, still filled to the brim with excitement and joy at the prospect of one day finding her Rider, the one human in all the world made solely for her.
Hannibal gave up such fantasies years ago, when the typical age of a Dragon and Rider match came and went and he still had no one. He’s built up a wall around himself since then, convinced himself he’s happier without a Rider, content to be alone in his mind and thoughts without the burden of another soul.
Day 3 - Soulmates
Title: Provocateur
Rating: E
Summary: Hannibal knows Will Graham; and the boy on stage performing the part of Thomas in Venus in Furs is decidedly not the Will Hannibal has grown to know over the course of their semester as roommates.
Summary: Will has been alone for as long as he can remember, long enough that it's become his normal to be seen as abnormal by those around him. To be without a soulmate thread is to be destined to a life of loneliness and misery, alone and without your perfect match.
Title: Single Thread of Violet
Rating: E
Day 4 - Angels & Demons
Summary: Before God created the Earth, humans, the universe in all of its infinite beauty, He created the Angels. Beings immortal and powerful, but without free will. Soldiers in His battle against the encroaching Darkness that threatened the tentative peace He’d managed to foster in His creation.
Title: Before the Fall
Rating: M
Day 5 - Post-Apocalypse
Summary: It’s ill-advised for Will to be drinking and yet he’s well on his way to what he hopes will be blackout levels of drunk by morning. It’s not like he’s on watch tonight, anyway, that’s Bev’s job. She’s up on the wall with Rick and Daryl, and Will feels safe as houses with those three looking out on the wall and Michonne and Hannibal roaming the streets. Though he'll never admit it to Hannibal that anything about the man makes him feel safe.
Title: Sugar Burn
Rating: E
Day 6 - Hospital
Summary: A minor stabbing injury isn't going to stop Will Graham from getting the best lay of his life in the University Medical Center New Orleans. He’s young and stupid, and more than a little reckless, but he knows what he wants even through the searing pain of his shoulder.
Title: Unorthodox Remedies
Rating: E
Day 7 - Childhood Friends
Summary: “What are we piercing, then?” Hannibal asks, his voice rough and thick still with the after burn of the whiskey.
Title: Never Been Kissed
Rating: M
Day 8 - Superheroes/Superpowers
Summary: “Will,” Hannibal mewls, his voice croaky and rough already.
Title: Inferno
Rating: E
“I know, darling,” Will murmurs, his tone sympathetic while he applies soothing, rhythmic strokes down Hannibal’s spine. “It’s all so much, isn’t it?”
Day 9 - Royalty
Summary: Hannibal is beautiful; has always been lovely to behold. Now, though, he stands with blood smeared across his cheek and dripping crimson from the sword in his hand - Will’s sword - and Will’s heart clenches at how victorious, how resplendent he looks.
Title: The Knight’s Code
Rating: M
Day 10 - Pirates
Summary: Hannibal had been surprised when his rival captain had asked permission to board Hannibal’s ship, the Saint Sebastian, several weeks prior. Pirates rarely worked together to achieve a common goal, it simply wasn’t done, too many large egos in one place making it nearly impossible to accomplish anything.
Title: All Hail the High Seas
Rating: E
Day 11 - Farm/Ranch
Summary: "We’re here,” Jack announces unnecessarily, as though Will can’t clearly see the ornate wooden sign denoting the fact they’ve just crossed onto the property of Saint Sebastian’s Ranch of Respite.
Title: Saint Sebastian's Ranch of Respite (for the Wickedly Weary)
Rating: E
“Jesus Christ, where are you dumping me?” Will mutters, blanching at the name of the healing center, as it had been so aptly named when it had been pitched to him.
Day 12 - Crime
Summary: It’s safe to say Will Graham despises Hannibal Lecter the moment he meets him.
Title: State of the Art
Rating: M
Day 13 - Rock Band
Summary: “Next is Hannibal Lecter, plays an instrument. Up in sixty seconds.”
Title: Little Bird
Rating: M
Will turns his gaze back to the massive stage. The audition round of the show is held in various locations all over the US, and Will is ninety percent sure they’re in New York City this week.
Day 14 - Vampire
Summary: Will’s grin is wide and wicked, eyes glinting mischievously. “You actually believe in vampires?”
Title: Lips Covered in Honey
Rating: E
“I believe in you, Will.”
Day 15 - Role Reversal
Summary: In hindsight, Hannibal understands why Will Graham blames him for his life, his entire practice, being uprooted unceremoniously.
Title: The Art of Misdirection
Rating: E
After all, Hannibal came into his life and disrupted every aspect of it, his own empathy and neuroses blending and blurring with Will’s until they were more like one person than separate entities.
Day 16 - Treasure Hunters
Summary: The Rocky Mountains have a certain majesty to them that Hannibal finds appealing. They tower, larger than life, over thousands of people who pass through them daily, somehow both foreboding and encouraging in equal measure.
Title: Rocky Mountain High
Rating: E
He can understand why a man such as Forrest Fenn would find them intriguing enough to spark adventure within himself and the countless others that would enter the mountains and surrounding woods in a search for treasure.
Will Graham, it seems, does not share Hannibal’s curiosity about the speculated treasure, nor does he seem particularly inclined towards finding joy or adventure in their latest endeavor.
Day 17 - Firefighters
Summary: He looks at the plain brown box and feels his cheeks heat. The note attached to it is discrete enough, and he can’t figure out whether or not Hannibal knows what’s in the box that was delivered incorrectly to his Fire Station.
Title: Batteries Not Included
Rating: E
There are thirty-eight Fire Stations in all of Baltimore. Why the fuck did his package have to get misdelivered to Hannibal’s?
Day 18 - Bodyguard
Summary: “Thank you all for coming tonight to the last show on our North American tour! To end things right, we thought we’d do something a bit different. I’m sure some of you have seen our Twitter -” Will pauses as the crowd roars their agreement.
Title: Partition
Rating: E
“I won’t keep y’all waiting. I hope Beyonce doesn’t hate me after this. Here’s Partition!”
Day 19 - 19th Century
Summary: "For a tailor you really aren’t upholding the signs and expectations of your profession.” Hannibal teases, stepping closer and taking off his soaked coat.
Title: The Tailor’s Apprentice
Rating: E
“Tailor’s apprentice. My father is the actual representative of the profession.” Will retorts, coming around the counter to peel Hannibal out of his vest. “To what do I owe the pleasure of your company, Hannibal? I didn’t expect to see you until tomorrow night.”
Day 20 - Single Parent(s)
Summary: Sorrow has a scent, bitter and cloying.
Title: Elided Cadence
Rating: M
Hannibal is particularly well-versed and familiar with the taste of sorrow, with the shape of its fingers around one's throat and the acrid flavor of smoke and ashes it leaves on the tongue.
Will Graham smells of sorrow, but the boy he has brought with him reeks of it.
Day 21 - Professional Rivals
Summary: When he’d been considering the area for his wine bar, his realtor had sworn it was in a fantastic, up-and-coming neighborhood.
Title: Winston’s Place
Rating: E
The realtor had failed to mention the derelict pub that sat directly across the street from Hannibal’s future establishment, however, and it wasn’t long at all before he began to realize why.
Day 22 - Futuristic
Summary: “H!” Will pulls Hannibal from his wandering thoughts, his face suddenly floating upside down in front of Hannibal’s as he flips his hoverboard to dangle in the air and look him in the eyes. “You’re doing that thing again where your eyes go all glazed and you look like a statue.”
Title: Boundless as the Sea
Rating: E
Day 23 - Arranged Marriage
Summary: “What’s wrong with your green card?” Will can’t hope to stop the words from tumbling forth - didn’t even know they were about to spill from his mouth when he opened it - and his cheeks flush when he realizes how intrusive and presumptuous that question is.
Title: Something Borrowed
Rating: E
Day 24 - Private Detective(s)
Summary: “Why are you at my stake out, Lecter?” Hannibal’s eyes drag away from the entrance to his mark’s house several rows down and across the street, plenty of distance to keep him from suspicion, and settle on Will Graham. Eyes normally the color of sea glass are a darker shade of blue in his ire, and his mouth is pulled down in a perpetual moue of disapproval.
Title: A Mutual Pleasure
Rating: E
Day 25 - Circus
Summary: Will remembers his pa taking him to the circus when he was little. He remembers spun sugar and fire spitters and sword swallowers. Men on stilts so tall young Willy nearly grew dizzy peering up at them, wild animals seemingly tamed, unrestrained but for the callous lick of a whip. There were acrobats swinging on a trapeze, even tight-rope walkers.
Title: Off the Ground (and Freely Bound)
Rating: E
He never recalls seeing anything as beautiful as silk dancers before his eighteenth birthday, though.
Day 26 - Monster Hunters
Summary: Hannibal Lecter is insufferable.
Title: Toss a Coin
Rating: E
Will knows the man volunteers only so he can seemingly derail Will’s hunt from moment one, though he can’t figure out why. It doesn’t make sense that a prominent member of such a community - being overrun with beasts - would so willfully try to keep Will from finding the source of the problem.
Until Will does manage to find it.
Day 27 - Flower Shop
Summary: "Very good, Will. Shall we make this a little game, hm?” Hannibal places the blue thistle on the table beside Will’s face, filling his nostrils with the scent.
Title: Kiss from a Rose
Rating: E
“What are the odds?”
Day 28 - Fashion & Models
Summary: When Will Graham was younger, he used to watch the Olympics with his family, a tradition that has stuck with him, though he’s far busier these days and rarely gets to watch them in real time.
Title: Strike a Pose
Rating: E
Which is why he knows he must be daydreaming when Hannibal Lecter walks onto his set during an ad campaign he’s modeling in for a collaboration between the Olympics and Gucci.
Day 29 - Tattoo Parlor
Summary: It begins simply enough, almost innocently, if there was ever any possibility of something being that between them.
Title: Feel Something
Rating: E
Day 30 - Magic
Summary: Hannibal Lecter is a thorn in Will’s side, and can rot in Azkaban as far as Will is concerned.
Title: Amortentia
Rating: M
Day 31 - Combo Wombo! (College/Tattoo Parlor)
Summary: It isn’t often that Hannibal gets to perform a laser-assisted branding on a client, but then, Will Graham isn’t a typical client.
Title: After Temptation
Rating: E

Story Summary:
“Will! A human came to the border!" Bev sounded winded as she stopped in front of Will’s throne, chest heaving with the strain of her journey. He watched her place a hand to her chest to steady herself before handing him an ornate scroll. “They’ve sent along this missive and are awaiting your reply.”
“What?” Will tried not to show his alarm, hunching his shoulders as he leaned over the scroll and slipped a long nail through the wax, unfurling it onto his lap. The penmanship was as beautiful as the wax seal had been, but Will didn’t tarry overly long admiring it.
Will’s eyes scanned the letter quickly, his frown deepening with every line. This King of the humans was eloquent, Will would give him that.
“The humans are starving,” he mused aloud, a furrow developing between his brows.
To his right, Aiden snorted rudely, crossing his arms across his chest defensively. “Good.”

God, I just love them so much. They know this is right for their characters and there’s no queerbaiting or discomfort, just love for the story they’re telling and the desire to do it in the best way possible. We are so fucking lucky to have these adorably giddy shippers as our leads, I can’t even handle it.
I was thinking about the movie adaptation of Interview with the Vampire and was about to make a “Here’s my review: not gay enough” meme about it, and I’m having a fucking stroke because I guess I’d never seen an unedited version of the meme but it turns out its origin was actually some guy talking about Interview with the Vampire
