Headcannon - Sofia's grandfather ?
So … what if , Cedric’s teacher from Hexly Hall is Sofia’s grandfather - The father to Sofia’s dad “Birk Balthazar” ? I know its probably been mentioned before or that it sounds far fetched but its just something fun to think about :D
From what we know about Birk Balthazar ( Sofia’s dad ) is that according to Craig’s twitter he has the same looks as Sofia but not so much her personality and that his been gone for a while.
Some more well-known information about Sofia’s dad is that he lived in the kingdom of FreezenBerg before moving to Enchancia with Miranda and that his name is Birk Balthazar …. But that’s pretty much it.
Because Sofia’s dad looks like Sofia , that could mean that Sofia’s grandfather should look similar to her too right ? When looking at both Cedric’s teacher and Sofia , they both have brown hair and a fringe that contains two curls at the end.
Now, that could be just a coincidence but you cant help but notice how quite similar they both are in their physical appearances :)
Another thing to mention is how Sofia and Cedric’s teacher are both talented at sorcery. It could explain where Sofia’s interest in magic came from as it could be something that was passed down to her through her father’s side of the family. Because we don’t know much about Sofia’s real dad it’s hard to say if he knew sorcery too but wouldn’t it be super wired if he went to Hexly hall just like Cedric did. That would be pretty mind blowing if Cedric knew Sofia’s dad and granddad all along and he didn’t even know it. ( Can you just imagine the possible fan fictions of Sofia’s dad with Cedric at hexly hall )
If Sofia’s dad and grandad did sorcery then that would give Miranda more of a reason to be happy about Sofia getting a gold star on her sorcery test. Miranda seemed the most happy about it out of everyone and seemed quite fond of Sofia being talented at magic : “ Ah look at you , our little sorceress” – Miranda
The next thing I’m just going to say is how both their relationships with Cedric are quite similar. It’s nice how both of them encourage Cedric and don’t give up on him :D They both even give him a thumbs up :D
What I also like about their relationships towards Cedric is how Cedric’s wand glows with Sofia’s wand or with his teacher’s wand because of how much of a positive connection he has with them both.
This is just another coincidence but it’s interesting how they both have such a similar connection and relationship with him :)
Of course this whole post is just speculation and making up head cannons but I hope it was fun to read any way :D He probably isn’t even her grandfather but Its a cool idea never the less ;D
