it has occurred to me that I should make some variety of intro post. Maybe. This is mostly just so I can list my sideblogs for people who are interested tbh.

Like it says in my bio, I’m K or Circles and I use they/them pronouns.

I’m not convinced DNIs actually serve the purpose they’re created for, but like. Just understand I won’t want to be your friend if you’re a bigot and/or a shit person (not very specific I know, but if I really don’t like you I’ll just block you eventually). Also, if I think you’re ~13 or under, I probably won’t interact with you very much, and would prefer you not follow this blog because I do post mature stuff sometimes. No offense! Use your discretion and common sense, kids.

There’s multiple things this post could apply to (eg neurodivergence) but it did make me think of the concepts from this book. Everyone’s forced to “perform authenticity” in society. And stars/ celebrities have to make it their whole business to balance that or they’re fucked (see: chappell roan getting attacked for not wanting to share enough of her private life with everyone, lil nas x for showing too much stuff that wasn’t poised/ acceptable enough, etc). Interesting stuff.
