A fish trying not to get eaten wouldn’t slow down when the “predator” slows down. It also wouldn’t constantly swim in a circle near the edge of the tank; It’d try hiding. Also a fish in a tank in a a public place that is constantly filled with people is not likely to see people as predators.

yeah that fish is absolutely playing with that kid, if it really wanted to escape it would just dive into the reef in the center of the tank!

(Moorish Idols are reef fish and naturally will seek shelter in the nearest nook or cranny if they get scared.)

many people don’t realize this, but fish aren’t stupid animals! most of them are on par with mammals like mice and squirrels in terms of intelligence, and they absolutely do play.

I had to go to the supermarket today, and now thee’s pocket bottles of hand sanitiser for sale near every checkout. Great that everybody wants it, but a few things to jeep in mind.

Nobody should be fooled if the hand sanitiser says ‘antibacterial’. COVID is a virus, not a bacteria. We care about whether it will deactivate viruses.

Alcohol-free hand sanitisers are useless against coronavirus. Threy need to be at least 70% alcohol to work, and they need to keep your hands wet for at least 30 seconds. The alcohol-free stuff is a waste of time in this context.

I know its easy to get exhausted with all the messages going around in the pandemic but be aware of what you’re buying.

denying trans women's womanhood is always transmisogynistic. doesn't matter if it's some trans women or a specific group of trans women. telling a trans woman she isn't a woman because she doesn't behave according to your idea of womanhood makes you a transmisogynist.

i have gender non conforming trans women in mind when i say this. trans women are women regardless of whether or not they suit your arbitrary definition of gender dysphoria. trans women are women regardless of the pronouns they use. believing otherwise is transmisogynistic.
