There's this misconception that we must have deep connections for a community. A community is predominantly made up of what in social capital is called "weak connections". This could be a neighbor whose face you recognize, but whose name you forget. A cashier you see often enough to get a unique greeting. A coworker.

So when people say " go meet people" they don't even mean have a conversation with them or know their name. Just try to be memorable to the same people on a regular basis. Stand outside at the same time each night. Wear a distinct accessory. Smile at people you recognize – it's still noticeable through a mask.

"making them afraid will make them more racist" that's wild to me, because we live in a whole culture of social consequences for antiracism anyway. It is literally safer to be a racist than it is to speak up against it, socially.

Idk about you, but "I'm afraid no one will want to be my friend if I'm a white supremacist" seems like a pretty logical thought process to have, and I wish THAT were the normal and not "I'm afraid my friends will hate me if I tell them they made racist jokes".

I am going on a week break 💡

This is because i am physically and mentally exhausted in general. We had some incredibly hot weather (40celsius/103farenheit) in france and it's taken a genuine toll on my body, considering that I was working 9 to 12 hour shifts outside everyday for the month wrapping up for a tv show.

This is what I meant by how a lot of white supremacy is projection.

"I feel like my penis/my Manhood as a symbol is smaller than Black man's" becomes "Black men have oversized penises and are sexually insatiable beasts."

"I am sexually attracted to, fetishizing, and feel entitled to Black women's bodies" becomes "well she's asking for it, look at how she looks, Black women are always more openly sexual."

"I am afraid of approaching Black men" becomes "Black men are a threat."

"I am afraid of approaching Black women" becomes "Black women are always angry."

"I am not smart enough/not qualifed enough/can't beat my white counterparts professionally" becomes "DEI and affirmative action are letting those Blacks steal my position in school/jobs!"

Your own fears and insecurities about yourself somehow become a reflection of my humanity, when it had nothing to do with anything. And somehow enough people think that and now it's systemic instead of the made up nonsense it always was. Ijeoma Oluo called it mediocrity, James Baldwin called racism the white man's problem, and they remain correct.

A few scholars have devoted books to research with Blacks abroad, such as Clarence Lusane's fine Hitler's Black Victims, Wolfgang U. Eckart's Medizin und Kolonialimperialismus, on medical colonization in Germany's African holdings, and Jan-Bart Gewald's Herero Heroes, on the German medical abuse of Namibia' Herero people."
