“ Help! Please! “
Goldberry inhaled sharply, hearing a frantic voice echo over the water. With desperate haste, she swam through the river until she found a hobbit floundering in it’s depths. It wasn’t the first time she’d found a hobbit this way… they all seemed to lack buoyancy. She gathered the hobbit in her arms and held him tight to her chest. “You are alright now-” Goldberry promised, her voice was low and soft. “Take some deep breaths, Master Hobbit.” She sat him on the edge of the water and then smiled at him brightly, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Do you feel better?”

Maybe it was just fair maidens that made him worry oh-so much about how successful or young he appeared, and what they thought of him. He was quite bad about getting all in a muddle when there were nice faces to gaze upon.
Goldberry laughed and holding Bilbo’s hands in hers, guided him to her warm home. She gestured for him to sit down on a large, plush, fainting sofa carelessly placed near the fireplace, which still had a healthy flame in it. She quickly came to him holding a wooden board filled with warm bread wrapped in linens, soft cheese, and wine. “Have as much as you’re able!” She implored, sitting beside him and pouring two cups full of wine.
“You’ll dry off in no time with a little fire inside and outside.” Goldberry laughed, sitting right next to Bilbo, she drew her legs up to her chest, looking at him with curiosity.
ˣ ₓ . ◍ The expression “like a kid in a candy store” did little justice to just how it felt to be a now quelled Hobbit, rescued from distress and presented with a warm and hardy meal. Perhaps a new expression “like a Hobbit before a banquet” should be in order. Bilbo simply didn’t know what to do with himself. He surely didn’t know how much was ‘as much as he was able’ - being a Hobbit’s appetite was essentially endless. The thought made him smile as his quick little hands began prying for the food that he had been presented. He stopped though, if only for a moment, so that he could look upon the strange maid as she lay peering over at him. He found himself completely trapped in her gaze.
