You may not know but I live in a very abusive and toxic environment. I am unable to leave and couldnāt afford to even if I could. I hate to even ask but Iāve set up a go fund me if you could donate or share I would be endlessly grateful

here is ur daily reminder that asexuality isnt simply being repulsed by sex, but rather a lack of sexual attraction! therefore, asexual rape survivors are not asexual because of their trauma. asexual rape survivors are not broken and i love each and every one of them š
Itās so fucking weird to see Tubby on my dash from just like a random unrelated blog I follow. Thatās just my best friendsā cat. I commissioned a plate painted with her likeness.
Yeah Iām a socialist and donāt like the current state of the democratic party either but if you donāt vote for Biden youāre literally taking a chance to drag the country a bit farther left and just ignoring it. I dunno what to tell you.
Biden would also be our oldest president. He probably wonāt last more than one term. Do you want four more years of an actual wannabe dictator or four years of a 90s Democrat who can be pressured farther left if we try hard enough like seriously
Hey Remember Net Neutrality and how important that was and how now literally nobody talks about it anymore?? what the fucks up with that, is that just over now or what
Fuckboy Deadpool stans: *identify with Deadpool as some sort of outlet of their insecure masculinity/heterosexuality and rebellion againstĀ āPCā culture*
Ryan Reynolds: *reaffirms Deadpool as pansexual literally every chance he gets, wants Deadpool to have a boyfriend in the film franchise, makes Deadpool act campy and effeminate as fuck in the movies, does a charity campaign for cancer where Deadpool dresses in pink and sits next to a pillow that literally saysĀ āfeministā on it, goes out of his way to hire a woman of color to portray the female lead in Deadpool 2, literally hires Celine Dion to write a Titanic-esque power ballad for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack and makes a music video where Deadpool prances around in high heels feeling his fantasy like the gayest gay that ever gayed*
A reverse image search tells me that this is a Yagua girl with a three-toed sloth, Rosita and Sandra, in Loreto, Peru 2009.
The Yagua live in 30 communities scattered across the Peruvian and Colombian Amazon basin. Theyāve were severely subjugated in the 19th/20th century by arriving Europeans in the ārubber boomā, when latex was being extracted from the jungle. This included deaths via conflict and disease, slavery and having to flee their land. All these factors lead to a decline in their unity and common culture. Even today, the Yagua like many South American tribes face pressures from deforestation and the violence against them that comes with it, and lack of socioeconomic support from their respective governments.
A lot of people have reblogged this post and talked about how cute Rosita and Sandra are, and how they should have their own Disney movie. The best thing you can do for the Rositas and Sandras of the world is to donate to the continued conservation of the Amazon and protection of indigenous lands, as well as fundraisers to give indigenous people access to vital medical, food and other supplies.

1. How do you suppose the 1960 conservatives would react to the idea of a President who has close ties to the leader of Russia? What would they say about the fact that so many of his followers are literal Nazis?
2. If AOC appeared to be a lunatic to 1960 Americans, it would be because the principle thing she advocates forāthe 70% marginal tax rateāwas policy at that time. So sheād be running around going āMarginal tax rates should be 70%!ā and everyone would go āā¦yes? They are? Shouldnāt you, a sitting member of Congress, know that?ā
In the documentary, How to Survive a Plague they mention this very fact. Reagan was the president during this time and do you know what he did when the LGBTQ community begged him for help? He fucking laughed at us. His administration CELEBRATED that finally, āGodās judgement in the form of a plagueā was striking down queer people.Ā They saw it as a form of divine population control.Ā Reagan could have given a rats ass about usā¦
Until the plague began to effect straight people. THEN his administration cared. Because the people that mattered were finally getting sick. And finally the millions of dollars in research money was poured into finding a treatment for HIV. But by then, so many LGBTQ individuals had died.Ā More people died from the initial HIV epidemic than the Vietnam war.
So when straight people complain about being āoppressedā and why there isnāt a straight pride parade? Go fuck yourself. No one has ever tried to wipe you out through a plague, ignored your cries for help as a disease wiped out massive amounts of your community.
Interesting how a pandemic can be shown to disproportionately affect oppressed groups and conservatives can plan to claim negligence when they decide to weaponise it. I hope nothing like that ever happens again.
You may have heard of what happened in Lebanon today and if not, basically, there was a big explosion in Beirut that affected many cities, destroyed shops, homes, cars, caused many injuries and deaths. The cause is uncertain.
As a fellow lebanese myself (that also lives there), today was absolutely terrifying, probably the scariest moments of my life. We heard a deafening sound as the floors were shaking. Some of us thought it was an attack, others thought it was an earthquake. As soon as it ended many expected a second one, which luckily never happened.
Here's a video of what happened that was sent to me, there are also many others that you can find online.
Windows were broken, doors wrecked, cars flipped over, buildings collapsed, people hit by flying or falling objects, and unfortunately, many didn't make it out alive.
We were one of the lucky ones, our families and friends were all safe and our homes were fine.
Some people couldn't even get out of the crumbling builings, so we saw corpses being pulled out, although some people survived the crash. But wherever we looked, there was blood, poeple were half covered in it, their shirts, pants, hair, everything. And that sight was traumatizing.
We watched the news with elders severely injured, children with blood-spattered shirts and people in pain that couldn't get in the hospitals because they were full.
Some people are missing. Just try to imagine the pain and fear their families and friends are feeling.
Articles about what happened, there are a lot more
Officials expect death toll to rise after huge blast rips through Lebanon's capital.
The explosion took place at the port shortly before 19:00 local time (18:00 CET) with a large cloud of smoke billowing over the city. Eyewit
Not only are we in the middle of a pandemic, but Lebanon is also going through a very serious economical crisis. To give you an example, before, $1 equaled 1 500 lebanese pounds. Nowadays, $1 equals more than 7 000 lebanese pounds. Not to mention that we obviously don't have any dollars at disposition, so yeah we're fucked.
People are hungry, homeless, unemployed. And even if they are getting paid, it'll be useless since the prices of everything went up because they were affected by the economical fiasco.
Important additional information
Today, I heard my 7 year old cousins scream in fear that they were going to die. I saw my aunt shaking, worried that her children won't survive. I saw my dad freak out while trying to reassure us when we both knew that we were uncertain about the next minutes of our lives. I heard the panic in the trembling voices of my family and friends as they couldn't believe what had just happened. I thought my loved ones and I were going to die in the next seconds.
I'm never forgetting those moments and feelings.
I don't think signing petitions will help, i don't even know if the following links will help either, I just know Lebanon and it's people are desperate for anything because the future of this country is extremely uncertain.

Help families, domestic workers, and refugees in Lebanon with food and other basic needs during this economic and public health crisis
I think donating to the red cross would be the most helpful, so if you are considering it, it'd be great.
There are so many great threads on twitter about what you can do to help, just search help lebanon or something to find them. Also if you can, please donate, and as I said, the lebanese pound is pretty much worthless currently so USD is way more useful to us.
