Growing up A league of Their Own was my favorite movie. I never really understood why because I wasn’t super into baseball or softball but I mean it’s a good movie right?

Yes but no I was gay. That movie is amazing but also completely erases how queer the AAGPBL was. I think that both me and the film were in the closet. I feel like baby gay me could still feel some of it even if they continued to try and hide the gayness.

Now with this new show, it lives a new life and a more truthful. It’s also strikes just as close to home for me know as an adult. It’s dumb but it feels like it was meant for me. I feel like that’s a highmark of a good show sometimes.
