I went through a period of being fixated on Ultra Magnus. Logically, his humanization should consist of the image of a huge guy, but I wanted to better capture his atmosphere, and he appears to me as an idealized, well‑groomed guy from old American posters of the 1970s — the kind who wears a tank top under their shirt and irons their socks.
