whenever the time of year when mondstadt celebrates weinlesefest comes around, thoma does his best to obtain ( he’s definitely tried to make it as per tradition, but if that’s not available to him, he’ll buy it from the stand in ritou ) and open wine, even though he doesn’t like the taste of alcohol. and even when “windblumes” are more difficult to come by in inazuma ( especially considering they aren’t definitively one flower, he’ll accept any one that originated in mondstadt ), he’ll still try to gift some during that time of year— because while these gestures may not mean much to others he’s surrounded by, it means an incredible amount to him.

it’s also during weinlesefest where the time of year impacts his homesickness the most. of course, he tries not to let it interfere with his work or let anyone realize, but it will always bring a very bittersweet nostalgia to the forefront of his thoughts.
