Savage Race Chicago-Â 2019
So far this year I’ve not run as many obstacle races as I normally would, for a few reasons, but Savage Race has turned into one of my summer favorites. The location of this race is on the Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove, IL. It’s mostly flat with a few small hills and small water crossing this year. It was sunny and warm, it was completely perfect for playing with water obstacles.

This was the first year I ran this race, and I was glad I did. It’s put on by the same company that runs the Hot Chocolate 5k/15k. It always is put on that Saturday before Memorial Day.
You start on the 50 yard line of Soldier Field (Chicago Bears Stadium) and you run out of there and head South on Lake Shore Drive, yes you get to actually run on the Street! That’s one of my favorite things…
