I keep seeing people making Minecraft animals out of little wood blocks and painting them. I'm deadass about to make a Minecraft cat for my room 💀
Like you can't tell me this shit isn't cute.

that's just how it is when you try to sleep when it's hot
yes im still on my soap box, i raised concerns a couple years ago about how mojang seemed to have stopped proucing smaller updates to instead focus on large updates about twice a year. large, expansive updates are great but they take a long time to develop and leave more room for disappointment. it started with 1.13 and theyre still doing it today in 1.19. the only "small" update we've had recently was 1.15, which added bees, honey and fixed a fuckton of bugs, and god do i wish they'd do another small update like that, itd be so refreshing
i wish mojang would realize that not every major update NEEDS to add new content or mechanics. i wish theyd spend just one update updating old mechanics/mobs/biomes. 1.19, the WILD update, couldve been the perfect opportunity to go back and touch up some of minecraft's oldest additions. they couldve given overworld animals mob mentality, running away from or attacking perceived threats, making wolves howl at night, making bat hordes spawn rarely in caves, etc. they couldve added new plants exclusive to forests, deserts, rivers, new trees, small structures, shooting stars, ambient sound effects, water currents so rivers actually flow, ANYTHING to make the world feel more alive, natural, more lived in to have the WILD update live up to its name and they did NONE of that
I think with the resurgence of Minecraft's popularity on places like twitch and youtube and just in general that mojang feels compelled to always have smth in the wings and always have the next update be the biggest and best yet with the freshest most interesting content to keep ppl interested. And I definitely think the little small details get pushed aside bc of that. Bc god forbid streamerguy69 with 250 million subs express disappointment over a small update or smth yk? But as the game progresses and gets more and more complex, it only makes the older outdated mechanics and biomes stand out and seem emptier as a result. And most little things you mention like new sounds and such wouldn't even be crazy to add! But it just comes down to what mojang thinks will keep the majority coming back each update unfortunately, but I wish they'd realize that most minecraft players are here bc the very core mechanics, the heart of the game, are smth we love and we DONT need huge world changing content update constantly to keep us here and engaged and loving the game
