I found my official least favorite line in the ACOTAR series. 🤮
First of all - who picked out the clothes? Ianthe used to but at this point I don't think Feyanthe are on speaking terms, so Feyre must have picked it out. To appear harmless, I get, since she's undercover here and doesn't want to attract attention. But what's the deal with the second part?
Tamlin doesn't even attempt to seduce her until she gives him cues later on. And then backs off once she turns him away with her whole Lucien nightmare comforting scheme. In no way is he trying to treat her the way she suggests, nor has he ever.
From a meta perspective, I hate that the fact that she thinks being dressed feminine and wearing pink means she's portraying herself as a sex object (but only for the High Lords, she's a high class courtesan) without a will of her own who just exists to be submissive and used. Also what does this say about how she thinks about her sisters, who do dress feminine, especially Elain?
But if there is a High Lord who does want to "mount" Feyre whenever and wherever he wishes and in front of whomever, there is another one.
Theory: (not really) (we're just having fun)
Feyre is upset about having Nestas signature hair style
Feyre is upset about wearing Elains signature jewelry
This is a deep, unconscious disrespect of her family and has nothing to do with Tamlin. "I look like my sisters. Therefore, Im a useless stupid hole of course everyone likes it"
Feyre go to therapy.
Day 5 of @tamlinweek - Masquerade
He's telling her he'd reather fuck a human than be with her.
Imagine if the fae in ACOTAR all wore glamours to make them easier/more pretty to look upon, or to hide their true nature or powers.
What if the Autumn boys had fair that flickered and streamed behind them like fire, skin that was hot to the touch, eyes that smoldered like burning coal?
What if Tamlin DID have enormous stag horns that bloomed with roses? And he left carpets of blooming spring flowers in his wake?
What if, wherever Winter fae went or whatever they touched, they left a trail of hoarfrost?
The eyes of people from the Hewn City being black and fathomless or, more freaky still, why have eyes when you live in darkness? Rhys, glowing softly in the moonlight, whose eyes shine as bright and cold as distant stars?
I just think it would be neat...
People saying Rhysand was the only one who taught Feyre to read and write and that Tamlin wanted to keep Feyre illiterate...
Tamlin shows her his library, literally offers to teach her, to help her write her letters. And she says no.
He then writes her a series of limericks using words that he knows she struggles with (!) to help her understand their meaning through context.
Hello?? He tried writing love poems at first and then turned to filthy limericks instead. My heart.
That's so sweet! It's funny, it's witty. He's helping her while being careful to not embarrass her. He cares. He notices her struggle. He teaches her without patronizing her. Makes her laugh. Sharing something about himself in the process.
And he does it without having her write lines about him being the most handsome, most powerful and bestest man in the entire world. Funny how that's possible.
Some High Lords are just more powerful and more competent than others.

I DO NOT LIKE TAMLIN KNEELING HATERS...!! 😤😤
Unseen footage from THAT high lord meeting
Beron: I never knew a cock could be so persuasive.
Rhysand: 😡
Tamlin *examining his nails*: Can't have been that persuasive. Amarantha had you to whore for fifty years, and she still wanted me.
The other High Lords:
If there are 0 Rhysand haters then I have died.
Quick ramble
In acosf, Nesta claims that the Spring Court lies in ruins, and that Tamlin has grown sloppy in his rule, yet in the same book, Cassian is the one to say that with the possibility of an upcoming war, they need Spring's forces, and so need Tamlin on their side.
You have to be one hell of a good leader to simultaneously have your people turned against you in one fell swoop, but then also still be able to inspire and command an army of thousands of fae, and maintain that army well into the future. Now I'm no expert, but a 'force' to me implies a LOT of people, especially if that force is substantial enough to sway the tides in a war. So that would be at least a few thousand fae.
And obviously these fae need to eat, wear clothes, have hobbies, and have families, etc, so that adds up to a lot of other fae. As in, an entire Court.
'So how can that work?? How can Spring be a ruined mess, but also still house an army of several thousand fae as well as their families and the rest of the Spring Court??'
I think Nesta and Cassian are both telling the truth, but I also think that because they're in Prythian, magic is abundantly stronger there, and so any glamour that is around Spring will also fool Nesta.
Tamlin glamoured Spring to look dishevelled and in ruins, to look empty of citizens. He roams the borders in his beast form because he KNOWS that the Night court are entitled enough to trespass on the daily, and he wants to keep his people safe.
Ok, I'm finished 👍
The acotar fandom is a weird experience. Never in all my years in fandom culture have I seen a fandom this straight, this rigidly heterosexual.
I was genuinely shocked that Tamcien and Tamsand aren't popular. Like what do you mean? In any other fandom they would be HUGE. They'd be dominating the fandom. And yet I logged on, full of expectation, and ??
Where is the queerness? The exploration of couples that aren't canon?
Tamcien?? I'm sorry, how is this not THE biggest ship in the fandom. I'm biased, sure, but hello? Are we seeing this? Living together for centuries, they basically had to be everything for each other because they only had each other during the worst times of their lives. Desperately loyal to each other? Tamlin saved Lucien and "claimed him as my own"? Lucien calling Tamlin "Tam" constantly, worrying about him when he's gone, losing an EYE for him?? Lucien leaving hurt Tamlin more than Feyre leaving. The betrayal, the yearning. The husband behaviour is so strong with them, it smacked me across the face every single time they are on page together. SJM trying to tell me there's a magic orgy every year and nothing happend between them ever? I don't buy ittt. Lucien can fix Tamlin, I know it.
Second most obvious, Tamsand. I mean... it's all there. EASY. Rhysand cannot stop thinking about Tamlin, ever. That man is always on his mind, truly has a chokehold on him. He can't let him go. Enemies to lovers back to enemies?? Story writes itself. Rhysand teaching Tamlin to fight and how to fuck ("females", sure), gifts him special knives. Killing each other's families?? Toxic breakup cranked up to the max. The angst is off the charts! Centuries later Rhysand is still not over him, constantly busting down his door to torment him when he's already down. Rhysand gives Lucien so much shit for no reason, constantly bringing up Tamlin to piss him off ("Your beloved Tamlin." I SEE YOU, Rhysand). Gotta say, reads like a bitter ex-boyfriend shitting on his ex's new lover. Hmmm dare I say - jealous, Rhysand?
We all know SJM has a fetish for the bat boys... all that masculinity, they work off steam by physically fighting each other... probably all sweaty, rolling around in the dirt. Fucking in the same room?? Are you looking at each other during it, offering comments, applauding?? Like what is happening. There is a very obvious next step here. Sure, they are "family" but we've seen Cassian gift Mor lingerie, so clearly that definition of family is pretty loose. Cassian is just waiting for a sexy command from Rhysand, always so willing to please him. Rhysand, just put him out of his misery and fulfill his wish, please.
Azris. Azriel chocking Eris out, enough to launch a ship. The dynamic of shadowy Azriel and Autumn fire Eris, both having experience with abuse, both operating in the metaphorical or literal shadows, keeping secrets. Keeping constant track of each other... I see you.
Nesta! Prime candidate for a sapphic ship. Spent her whole life being taught her only value is to marry well? Her worth always seen in relation to men? Listen, I don't even have to think about how interesting of a story that would be, if she could unlearn all that with a woman. To make a story about her finally being herself without having to fulfill a man's expectations, to be allowed to step outside these gender roles. Also, Nesta can be mean and sassy and I find that very attractive in a woman. Please, let her kiss a girl.
The potential for queer ships is so high! Yet the majority of the fandom goes feral over canon straight couples only. Never have I seen a fandom hold onto canon text this strongly, only ships that are canon or will become canon are allowed.
Where is the exploration, the imagination? Going wild with crumbs, just for the fun of it. Disregard canon, embrace the flavour, have fun with the source material!! If the canon books are boring and bland and predictable, I'm at least enjoying the parts of fandom that are cool and interesting.
I dont know Feyre, maybe Tamlin needed to do the Tithe because he gave your family all of his money in gratitude for the sacrifice of their youngest daughter. Did you think of that. Did you forget that he gave away so so so much money to your family? Did you even ask how much he had left? Maybe he should have read an itemized bill at the dinner table to remind you.
Still think its funny that Tamlin canonically: Killed the HL of Night, killed a son of another HL, and killed the Evil Queen who was too powerful to kill for 49 years and still the books treat him as a weak little bitch like.
Okay. Sure.
Also we can talk all day about Eris being cruel to his brothers or Beron being cruel to his sons, but the only Vanserra to kill another Vanserra is Lulu. So. 1 > 0.
Feyre after the High Lords meeting:
“Yesterday, we had been ourselves — open and friendly and caring.”
… At the meeting :
Feyre and Rhysand picking a fight with Tamlin
Rhysand using mind control to silence Tamlin
Azriel physically attacking Eris
Feyre arrogantly implying they could use mind control on the High Lords
that ridiculous justification for stealing from Summer
Cassian verbally attacking Beron
Feyre attacking Beron
Feyre literally burning Eris and the Lady of Autumn
Seriously, what is wrong with this girl? Does she have some kind of cognitive issue? I’m telling you, she creates these fanfics in her own head and fully believes them.
"Pride Night", Shane Hollander, Ilya Rozanov, Scott Hunter [Hudson Williams, Connor Storrie, Francois Arnaud] from Heated Rivalry, the original cover from the [REDACTED] zine
Mar 2026
This is a several layer work. First, I found three blank jersey templates and redesigned the Metros/Raiders/Admirals jerseys into a pride format. I then found a reference pic of three men standing next to each other wearing jerseys. I used inkscape to photoshop the jerseys onto the reference pic, and then photoshopped Hudson, Connor, and Francois's faces into place.
I then ran it through my process of playing with vectorising/lighting/overlaying watercolour textures and stock images, isolating the lines, drawing in more lines (don't look too closely at their numbers or their feet because I almost messed them up a few times). I blurred the letters because it's meant to look like a painting, I removed the lines from the Raiders icon because it was too busy, and then overlaid everything.
Believe it or not, the reflection on the ice was the hardest part of this. And if you still fucking think this is AI, just go ahead and block me already because I'm over trying to prove myself to everyone.
