One thing I've observed in the fandom is the difference in how people are behaving before the announcement and the next book release.

Most Gwynriels have said what they needed to say. They're calm, composed, and confident. We aren't spending all day attacking other ships/characters/shippers. We're simply waiting for the announcement to confirm what we've been saying all along.

Meanwhile, many e*riels seem to be doing the exact opposite. They're constantly spiraling, being passive-aggressive, hateful, and obsessively targeting Gwyn, Lucien, Elucien shippers, and Gwynriel shippers. The contrast is quite striking.

A person who is genuinely confiden usually stays calm because they trust the outcome. They don't feel the need to overcompensate or convince everyone else. In contrast, someone who feels uncertain often becomes defensive, restless, and far more reactive because they're worried about what the result might be.

The next book is about the Valkyries is clearly derived from the BB promotional event and nothing else. Could people stop throwing in words like "insider news" over everything.

Could it be about the Valkyries? YES ... but that is a guess as much as anything else.

We don't even have a title for the book and people are talking "insider news". Anyone who has access to these books are tied by NDAs from hell.

People spending their precious time participating in a fandom for a book series....where they don't even remember a character who was mentioned 500+ times....of the latest book like so you're basically saying that you're opinion isn't that valid as you don't even remember the book you're talking about 😭 also find hobbies that you actually remember and have fun with...

The thing is and this is completely on me but I genuinely thought it was normal to remember the plot and the characters of a book series you supposedly love enough to actively participate in the fandom.

Apparently that's asking too much.

Because the number of e/riels I've seen who just... forget Gwyn is honestly shocking.

Forget Gwyn? A major supporting character from the most recent book?

So you're basically admitting you don't remember a huge chunk of the last book.

Gwyn is the first Valkyrie. She was a huge part of the Blood Rite. She's the reason Feyre, Nyx, and Rhys survived. She's the reason the Harp could be found. She was literally the start to the harp storyline. If you don't even remember the person who was instrumental in finding a Major Dread Trove item, then what exactly were you reading?

At that point, of course you ship e/riel and I'm glad

If forgetting major characters and entire plotlines is the level of reading comprehension we're working with, then it explains a lot.

It's genuinely wild to me that having a bad memory has somehow become a flex. (Pls get checked for alzheimer's 😭)

I can still remember everything i studied in high school, but apparently remembering major characters from the last book in your favorite series is just impossible for some people.
