never kill yourself. there will be media that will impact you in deep and profound ways, but they havent yet been made. you need to live to see them.
never kill yourself bro, you have media consumption and material things. you have to stay alive to consume more media and obtain more material things bro, you have to keep consuming and seeking sense gratification. yes i know this world is utterly inhospitable, and this society is deplorable in every aspect, but have you considered simply engaging in more consumption bro? think of the blorbos you haven't even gotten to meet yet bro. this is what makes life worth living.

the bad faith misinterpreter:
its fascinating that some people will claim to find value in art and storytelling as a way of human connection; they may agree on the surface that stories we tell have a deep personal and cultural meaning and can profoundly impact us and change our lives, as op said. but then they default to calling art and storytelling "consumption". not all stories are souless billion dollar blockbuster marvel movies with an enormous budget for merch and advertising with the purpose of turning a disgustingly huge profit. like, of course you have such a cynical view of media, because you dont seek out stories that have meaning and love put into them, do you?
