And the universe said I love you. And the universe said I love you because you are love. And the universe said you have played the game well. And the game was over and the player woke up from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed better. And the player was the universe. And the player was love.
My bio is no longer frickin broke, but this is a better place for it anyway
Idek what the main fandom I reblog is anymore. But, everyone is welcome as long as we're not being intolerant, uppity assholes. I do reblog nsfw stuff, just a warning.
BUCKY BARNES, Tasm!Peter Parker, Mike Faist, Astarion Ancunín, Matt Murdock <3
Love getting tagged in stuff like picrews, etc. Please do if you feel like it! And don't be afraid to talk to me, anon is always on and dms are open.
Excellent choice. The details of this are a little sketchy since I wasn't there for most of it, but it's still one hell of a story.
So my parents live at a lakehouse. And they have some rich friends. At some point, said rich friends were raising ducks or something and decided that they were going to release it into the wild, choosing to do so at our dock. The duck met another duck and fell in love. Then that other duck was killed by a coyote or something of the sort.
Now this duck was quite upset by this. You could hear that duck quacking alllllll over the place in its grief. But that wasn't going to stop Dockfest baby!!!!!
Dockfest is an annual event my family hosted at their dock where all the other boaters on the lake could come up to the dock, float on the water a bit and listen as my dad's cover band at the time rocked out. A fun time for all.
But this year, there was a Duck on the loose. And this duck was pissed. This duck terrorized half of the people floating in the water. Really just being a huge menace.
So eventually my family decides something has to be done about this duck. It's ruining the vibes and terrorizing guests. So everyone is brainstorming on how do we deal with an angry duck. They tried setting up bait, but it wouldn't bite. They tried sneaking up on it but it was just too wily.
Until my brother comes up with an idea. Now my brother is a very interesting character. I know I've told stories about him in the past, but I will describe him as a frat boy who became a surfer, and that will give you a good enough idea of him. Anyway, his plan is to go to the top level of our dock with a big bag, wait for the duck to get close, and then LEAP off the dock to trap the duck so that we could relocate it.
It's kind of tragic how homophobia affects insecure men.
Like sometimes they want to experiment with a bit of anal and instead of just buying a sex toy and some lube like a normal person, they instead shove random objects up their ass that inevitably get stuck and then they try to get them out by themselves which makes things worse and then they lie to doctors about it and like this all leads to all kinds of extra complications like internal damage, risk of infections, bleeding, the fall of Yugoslavia, etc.
Come on guys, just buy a dildo. It's way safer and it leads to way fewer problems.
A new study shows how pickup artist influencers use smart glasses to create content, and the connection between covert recording and harm.
Instagram is full of first-person videos of men harassing women in public. They follow a similar script: A man walks up to a woman or group of women in a store, sitting outside a cafe, or walking home from a bar, and delivers a pickup line. The women almost always nervously laugh, react with barely-veiled disgust, or say "fuck off" while he stalks her or refuses to walk away. The men recording these videos capture them with Meta's smart glasses, which are designed to discreetly capture interactions like these and upload the videos to Meta's platforms where the women in the videos are turned into content for "pickup artist" accounts.
New research reveals this ecosystem works, and how pickup artists (PUA) influencers are using Meta's products, including its smart glasses and social media platforms, to perpetuate a culture of harassment against women.
[...]
"The more surreptitious the filming seemed, the researchers found, the more serious the harassment. "The data reveals a clear correlation between the 'covertness' of the filming modality and the severity of the harassment," they wrote. "This combination of first-person perspective and device concealment confirms that the means of production remain largely clandestine, facilitating a condition of low awareness among subjects and reinforcing the deceptive nature of wearable-mediated capture."
That's crazy, I would not be able to tell those apart from regular glasses. I'm not typically fixated on a person's glasses in conversations anyway as someone who wears glasses
when youre inadvertently 1% too nice to a straight guy you can usually pinpoint the exact moment where he decides you must be acting that way because you want to fuck down on him crazy style and it is at this point that one would be well advised to have a cyanide capsule under a false tooth or an equivalent fast acting response
This is real. Why couldn't they just feature this one? Anyway, if you're looking for something different, this is it. The 2024 home in Occidental, CA is also Fire & Earthquake resistant, plus virtually noise-free. It has 2bds, 3ba, 3,068sqft, Reduced $50k to $1.699m. You have to see the main bath. I was completely fooled, b/c I didn't realize that they messed with the photos, at first.
Custom-made map gate.
The lanterns on the walls are held by these weird looking hands.
Very open concept.
They call this a gourmet kitchen, but it's so small. The counter isn't even big enough for seating.
The medallion in the floor in front of the kitchen.
This is the primary bedroom.
I don't like this trend of no doors on closets. I don't want to look at clothes and shoes, etc.
Apparently, there's room for a seating area.
The main bath. I guess it's supposed to look like a real archaeological dig? B/c the head looks funny. The tail looks like corn on the cob.
Interesting bath.
The 2nd bd. was a child's room.
I like the wall murals.
The 2nd bath is a shower room.
There's this large room off the garage, that I thought was a rec room.
But, it's got an exposed toilet and a utility sink for the laundry.
I thought that this small room off the big room was for the laundry.
Then, back here, there's the power plant stuff. Creepy. I have an irrational fear of stuff like this.
More stuff outside.
I don't know what this is. Some sort of an outdoor room.
Behind the house there's a patio and what looks like a pond and a sculpture.
i'm always fascinated by posts like "ummm not everyone comes from a usamerican upbringing stop being culturally imperialist. anyway as someone who grew up in england—"
I've lived in Georgia almost my entire life (with the exception of the four years I spent living in Alabama for college), so it's very much considered home to me. And today's my last day living here.
I'm incredibly happy to be moving. I feel like I'm going to finally get a chance to really spread my wings and prosper. And I'm going to be moving in with someone very close to me. Waking up next to them every day is going to be incredible.
And I'm very excited to get out of the house I'm living in. I moved into this house in May of 2020. So this is where I've lived while going through COVID. It's where I've lived while getting fired from multiple jobs. It's where I've lived while losing friends that I wish I hadn't. It's where I've lived while hurting a lot. It's also where I lived where I learned that I was Jenny. All in all, this place has become quite the depression den. I've been needing to get out of here.
But I'm going to miss Georgia. Even after I move, I'll still consider it home. At least, a second home. I know that I have loved ones and family here for me. I'll miss them. And I'll miss living in Georgia. I'll miss the erratic weather. I'll miss the shitty traffic. I'll miss Battle and Brew. I'll miss the Vortex. I'll miss Mary's. Dear god I'll miss Taco Mac.
But the future calls. And Jenny's going to face it head on. After all, I'm due for an adventure.
