Child’s been sitting by herself smashing two loud ass plastic cups together which is making a specifically horrid sound so I had to ask:

“Child are you having fun?”

While continuing to make the worst noise we’ve ever heard 🤣 husband and I had to turn our heads so she didn’t see us laughing lmfao

she recently learned to say no and shake her head but she hasn’t figured out when / how to appropriately use them, so this first time is hilarious

yo!! I’m a disabled person (thankfully it’s pretty mild, I can still walk and even dance with some extra effort). Other disabled people, this is so important for us to start doing young if we can! It’s easier to maintain muscle than it is to build it.

not me crying because I’m suddenly SO sad that I spent so much of this week overwhelmed and unable to enjoy myself fully and now child’s saying goodbye to her aunt and uncle before her bedtime and they won’t see her until Christmas and IM WEEPING AGAIN WHY AM I LIKE THIS

we slept through the night! took two tries to go down and one 3a brief cry while connecting sleep cycles but still slept til 7! and just took a 1.5 hour nap! everyone’s a little more human and lively and beach walk comin soon!

we drive home tomorrow and I’m counting down the hours 🫠 memories were certainly made and I’m sure I’ll look back on this week with more rose colored glasses but right now I’m fried and could cry at the drop of a hat

wheels up at 615a, good start!! last minute change of plans so no pit stop which is fine, only one stop so far for everyone to pee and stretch legs. she’s asleep finally too! occupied with snacks and whatever was in her lil head lol she seemed content to just vibe. we’ve got more snacks and backup toys and bottles made if needed. can’t get into the house til 4 but nbd, pet friendly brewery is open and sometimes we can get in early, I’m just crossing fingers n toes for continued sleep !

- why do kids have so. much. stuff?! I don’t even think I’m overpacking either like this is just the basics to make her comfortable in a new place! we have in-house laundry and grocery store close by but still !

- 7+ hour car ride ahead of us, thanking lordttt we invested in the bigger car seat. she’s only done maybe 2 hours at a time in the car, so we’ll see!

- pit stop at a friends baby shower for a congrats/hi & bye lol it’ll be nice to stretch our legs but I’m already eyeing the clock

- nervous as fuck about the sleeping arrangements bc all of us in one room? hasn’t happened since she was 10 weeks old. anticipating no one sleeping for a day or so but that’s probably just my anxiety talking lol

- CHILDES GOING TO THE BEEEEACHHH !!
