The first thing Leo definitely loves about you is your sense of humor.
You always manage to make him laugh with your weird and sometimes cringey jokes.
He always responds overdramatically to them and acts as if theyāre terrible but he wouldnāt have it any other way.
Even if he gets a little flustered or pretends to be annoyed, he enjoys how you match his energy and can banter with him. And when you tease him, especially when he's the one getting roasted, he secretly finds it endearing.Ā
A - Attention (how much attention do they want in the relationship?)
If he doesnāt get any attention heāll quite literally wither.
He lives off of your attention and would very much like a good amount of it. He isnāt overbearing but can come off as somewhat clingy.
He knows when to back off or give you space, and in the case he doesnāt all you need to do is tell him.
Although, he will be a bit upset that you donāt want to spend time around or with him. Thatās all to just say, please give him attention.
He isnāt as desperate as Iām painting him out to be just a tad clingy and āfirst choiceā deprived.

Leo would genuinely be the bestest friend to ever best friend.
In the case where you started off as friends, I doubt that Leo wasnāt attracted to you, likely was shy at first, then realized how chill you were and was able to be casual once again.
He does find you attractive but he isnāt weird enough to make that your problem, especially since at this point, heās under the impression that you wouldnāt want that, especially not with him.
As a best friend, heād hold you close and value you like he does with Jason and Piper.Ā
B - Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)
Honestly, the weirdo is in love with all of you.
Itās not all that weird but the way he goes about explaining it could be a bit concerning. He may be in love with you for who you are, but how pretty or handsome you are, whichever you prefer, is undeniable in Leoās eyes.
Heās the type to hang around you while youāre busy doing a task and talking. This leads to him absentmindedly staring at your features, ones he absolutely adores too.
Heāll stare so intensely and when this catches your inevitable attention he attempts to explain. Thatās right, attempts.
He makes it sound so creepy and stalkerish by accident, but we all know what he means.
So, overall he just likes you, if that makes sense.
B - Boo! (do they scare people? How do they act when scaring you/people?)
Leo is the prankster type.
Whether itās simple acts like coming from behind, tapping your right shoulder only to appear on your left or if he just decides to steal a pencil or something or even drawing funny somewhat lewd drawings on your paper.
Minor inconveniences really.
I donāt really imagine Leo being a huge pranker despite his playful nature. I donāt think heād find much joy in scaring you, especially less enjoyable for him when you fling a dagger at him in a moment of fear and pure reflex.
Heād swear up and down that his life just flashed before his eyes.
On the chance that he scares you on accident, like accidentally making noises in the middle of the night or something of the sort, heād think it was funny but then apologize for scaring the shit out of you.
B - Beauty (what do they admire about their s/o? what do they think is beautiful about them?)
Again, he finds you super beautiful and just stunning no matter what (and this applies no matter your gender, mkay.)
You could be covered in soot and dirt, have the worst bruised eye from battles, or even have garbage flung onto you and smell (and look) like absolute dog shit.
In short, he doesnāt care. In fact, he finds you the most attractive when youāre in your element. If you enjoy fighting, he thinks you look pretty cool practicing combat. Or if youāre painting and get paint on your face. Or, if youāre crocheting and look like a little grandparent. Or, even if you like activities that take more focus then he thinks your determination is endearing.
Just things that make you, you.
C - Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)
All the time, anywhere, and everywhere.
Heād be laying in bed at the Waystation when you come into his room looking for something of yours that he accidentally stole.
Then, youād fall into Leo's trap and get wrapped up in his arms and blanket.
Leo is very affectionate, so cuddling is only natural after he gets used to it (and doesnāt burst into flames anymore).
Heās also well known to be touch starved so just hug the damn boy.
D - Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)
It really depends on the day and vibe.
Most times Leo is really energetic and likes to go places with you.
It doesnāt matter where or when, as long as he gets to make new memories at new places with you alongside him.
Other times though, some things are more lowkey.
Either you two are just getting a few snacks, sneaking into his room and watching a movie that results in you two falling asleep and waking up to having to explain why youāre in the same bed.
Ones where you two are just doing your own things while enjoying each other's company.
I donāt know if that counts as a date, but itās a common hang out at the very least.
E - Emotions (how do they express emotion around you?)
Leo is pretty open with his positive emotions.
Like when you do something nice for him and he wraps you in his arms. Or, if you ever give him anything, something that shows that you truly know him, and just really makes Leo grateful for you.
On the other hand, things arenāt all that well when it comes to his negative emotions. Whether heās aware of it or not, he keeps things to himself and prefers it that way, making sure youāre not burdened by his feelings.
The thing is, he thinks heās the one doing you a favor. And if this was prompted by a personal trauma? Well heād be even more hesitant and he makes his need for support only the more obvious once you hold him and he finally lets it all out.

The reason for the break up was likely you taking things to the extreme.
Like saying things that severely hurt his self esteem, rethink your relationship, and maybe even use his insecurities to make him feel even worse about himself.
I donāt see Leo letting go of you for anything minor, heās holding onto you tightly and never letting go.
Though, him actually breaking up with you would likely be a result of serious disrespect and only because friends in his life finally managed to convince him to.
Heād tell you in person, maybe because he thinks it's the most respectful thing to do.

Once heās in a relationship I doubt that heād dare to look at anyone else but you.
Marriage though? Thatās a pretty big commitment.
In truth, it likely wouldāve never had crossed his mind unless you brought it up.
Thatās not to say that he wouldnāt want to spend the rest of his life with you, but for some reason he just didnāt connect the dots to marriage.

Leo never really thought about it.
Between having to jump from foster home to foster home, to getting to Camp Halfblood and voyaging all the way to Greece, heās never had a chance to stop and think: What does he want?
Itās all been survival.
Once Leo returns from saving Calypso and back to camp heās already forced along to another quest with Apollo. However, that leads him to the Waystation, a place where he can finally stop and smell the roses or whatever.
Thatās where (depending on the timeline of your relationship) he meets you or finds a place he can see himself living alongside you.
Either way you two get closer than ever and Leo finds himself bashfully thinking about the what ifs. What if you two got married? What if after you two became grown adults youād move outāwith him? What ifā and it only continues from there.
Got him twirling his hair and stuff.
F - Forgiving (If they had a fight with their partner(s), how would they apologize? Or would they be petty about it?)
There's definitely different stages that Leo goes through. Also depends on the offense that was committed.
Heād probably be pretty upset, especially if you fought in a way that somewhat reminded him of his schoolmates that used to make fun of him.
Also depends on how you react. If youāre regretful then Leoās inclined to forgive you or even apologize too.
If youāre more pretty then thatād just tick him off even more and the apology would be prolonged.
The likely case is that you both fought over something stupid, got some space and then realized how stupid it was.
Prompting you both to apologize to one another.
G - Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?)
He loves to gift you stuff, especially handmade things.
He was hesitant to gift you any of these homemade ones because even though he knows you, he knows you arenāt picky or stuck up, thereās always that doubt.
What are these creations that are made with you in mind you ask? A notable one would be a metal flower that Leo had created with thin sheets of metal and some thicker ones he melted together.
Itās particularly cute to think of because Leo went through trials and errors despite how well he tends to do in the creating aspect.
So, for a period there were just prototype flowers laying around his workplace while he figured it outā which didnāt take long.
G - Gratitude (how grateful are they to have you? what do they think your relationship is worth in comparison to other things in their life?)
The word āextremelyā isnāt nearly enough to describe how grateful Leo is to have you in his life.
Leo considers you both a friend and a lover and couldnāt be happier that heās your first choice and that you're his.
I think that getting to know Leo as a friend definitely made an impact on your romantic relationship in the sense that you got to truly know him as he is without any romantic feelings clouding your judgement.
He confessed his feelings of inferiority, his issues with self doubt, his lack of self esteem and everything in between.
So, knowing that you still wish to be with him in that way regardless of how he is, means the world.
Now, as for how he views your relationship worth wise and in comparison to other things in his lifeā well you measure to be worth quite a lot.
Leo never had many things, and sure he had friends, a home, a life nowā but your prolonged presence and long term effect on Leo has resulted in a āyouā shaped hole in his heart that he's afraid will never be filled if you went away or something happened to you.
You quite literally mean the world to him and it scares him to think of what would happen if his āworldā would be taken away.Ā
G- Gentle (how gentle are they? physically and emotionally)
Leo tries to be gentle, desperately so.
He tries to comfort you softly when needed or to approach things with a caring hand but he's often hopelessly clumsy when it comes to biological beings and often ends up being an emotional klutz.
He tries to be your emotional anchor and no matter how he may tense up or get awkward, your moments of need are often filled with laughter over his mistakes.
Physically, he's tenseā stiff even.
He often had to comfort himself so having to help someone else, especially someone he cares aboutā is startling.
He doesn't want to mess up but whether intentional or notā he ends up being exactly what you need.Ā
H - Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)
Leo wants to hold hands all the time and none of the timeā either of the two extremes.
When you first begin to date he's overly anxious and doubtful.
He second guesses himself a lot because he desperately wants to hold your hand but is scared of how you'll react.
Plus, hand holding includes close proximity to the one he loves so he will 99.9999% of the time burst into a ball of flames.
When he gets over that phase, he starts to initiate. His hands are calloused from the mechanic and engineer work he does. At first he's startled, especially because regardless of how soft your hands are considered to others, to him they are exceptionally soft.
Leo likes to hold hands whenever he can. Sitting amongst your friends at the dinner table? Boom fingers interlocked. Falling into a pit of monsters? Boom.
You're now holding onto each other desperately.
What can he say? He just can't help it.Ā

Leo is admittedly a bit stiff though.
Again, heās absolutely and utterly touch starved so he doesnāt really know an acceptable way to respond to abrupt hugs.
That's not to say he doesn't like them, just that they're unfamiliar.
Plus, he always reciprocates and leans into it. He does initiate hugs occasionally though and he tends to ask either verbally or non verbally.Ā
I - Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)
I- I love you (how fast would they say āi love youā?)
Sighhh.. Some would accuse him of love bombing you.
It's unintentional or at the very least done with the best of intentions.
You see, the thing about relationships with and between demigods is that they go on a deeper level super fast just because you're always in a life or death situation.
You two could be dating for only two weeks or so and be caught in a situation that is truly helpless so he confesses his thoughts and feelings thinking it's the end just for the two of you to end up surviving.
Or, you're hanging out late at night and he starts to nod off to sleepā he's tired and because of that, he accidentally confesses that he loves you.
I can see a whole scenario of him remembering himself saying that, being utterly embarrassed, and trying to forget it just for you to not allow him to.
J - Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)
By being a little weirdoā that's how he jokes around with you.
He likes to steal your pencils when you're not looking, make weird little drawings on the corner of your paper or just say the oddest things that make you get whiplash.
Itās all done with the best intentions though and if youāre less than impressed heāll dial back immediately.
J - Jealousy (what makes them jealous? what are they like when theyāre jealous?)
The top two things that make Leo both nervous and jealous areā¦: 1. Other guys and 2. Hotter guys.
Look, Leo knows youāre not gonna let yourself be whisked away by some hunk after everything youāve been through together but damn is he jealous when another guy is admittedly better looking than him and also obviously into you.
It was way more common for Leo to compare himself to the ācompetitionā earlier in your relationship before you snapped some sense into him but he still gets jealous on occasion.
When heās jealous he acts two different ways; pouty or distant. When heās āpoutyā, itās him showing a more comedic and lighthearted jealousy.
Basically making clear that yea, heās jealous, but itās not a big deal.
However, when he's more distantā well that's when heās in his head. Heās doubting himself and as much as he doesnāt want to admit itā heās doubting your loyalty to him.
Most of the time he genuinely doesnāt care though, just a tad cautious.Ā
K - Kisses (what are their kisses like? Who kissed who first? Where do they like to kiss you? How do they like to kiss you?)
I can see it two different ways for who kissed who first.
One thing that's for sure though, is that it was clumsy and spontaneous.
It was undeniable proof of your attraction towards each other. And even though you were a bit more awkward than you wouldāve likedā that's what made it all the more endearing.
As for Leoās kisses, his kisses are often chaste but still full of affection.
He enjoys kissing you on the cheek, forehead and maybe even on the back of your hand if he's feeling particularly romantical.
L - Love (how do they show you they love you? Whatās their love language?)
Leoās love languages are physical touch and words of affirmation.
Leo hides his pain with humor, but heās touch-starved and craves affection. He often jokes or flirts, but itās a defense mechanism. Deep down, he wants someone to say, āYou matter,ā and mean it.
He also shows love through hugs, holding hands, and building things for you and others.
Though, I feel like this is a given.
M - Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Most times theyāre spent waking up to blaring alarms and having to hastily dress to fight monsters who are attacking the Argo.
Otherwise? Well it really just depends on how Leoās feeling.
Knowing him, and being able to get a sense of the kind of person you are if you like him in the first place, youād try to smuggle him into your cabin (if you have less siblings or ones less likely to tattle.
I can imagine why you wouldnāt want him in yours if youāre an Aphrodite kid (him getting made fun of) or if youāre an Apollo/Hermes kid (too many siblings and all who are jumping at the chance to tease).
The only place youāre able to get a sense of peace is when youāre already living at the Waystation.
You wake up with him next to you in his more than endearing and silly Pjās, cuddle into him, only for him to wake up, start tickling/trying to tease you, and then turning away when he suddenly gets shy.
The two of you would have to sneak out to have breakfast where you will, without a doubt, be interrogated by Jo and Emmie.
N - Night (How are nights spent with them?)
I imagine that when you do sleepovers, heās very loud, talkative, and his usual jokey self.
Though, if heavy topics were talked about, there was tension, or if youāre both just tired from the day, that much will become apparent.
Heāll be quieter than usual, at first trying to be his usual self and once itās obvious that you donāt buy it, putting it to rest.
N - Nightmare (what is their worst fear?)
I can imagine a lot of fears he has that pertains to your relationship or even just you.
Heād be afraid of losing you. I mean, it doesnāt really cross his mind that often. Youāre just so real, so alive, that when you do get hurt, heās suddenly reminded of the fact that could be quickly undone.
That he could actually lose you. Thatās something that genuinely strikes fear in him.
He's lost a lot and those losses have never truly left him. Another fear would be you finding someone ābetterā or abandoning him.
Heās always had issues with feeling āgood enoughā or being first pick so that would feel like the ultimate betrayal.Ā
O - Obvious (How obvious do they make it that they like you?)
Painfully soā for the rest of the Argo ll crew anyway.
Heās known to be good at working with machines and reliable when in his element yet it canāt be pure coincidence how he trips over himself constantly around you or folds at your every whim.
So although people tend to be oblivious when others have crushes on them, I doubt that obliviousness would last long for you.
Heās constantly flushing, and doing the most ridiculous of things almost as if heās trying to impress you.
Plus, he stares at you and you can almost always overhear either Jason or Piper teasing him for his not so secret crush on you.Ā
P - Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)
This is where I disagree with canon (and Rick) because Leo would absolutely call you disgustingly cringe pet names but would knock it off if you were genuinely put off. (idc about canonā in fact, this is the new canon)
If youāre fem leaning or a girl, he would call you mamacita but I sincerely doubt itād ever go beyond making weird ahh jokes.
The same with papi or shit if you're a guy.
If weāre talking sincere pet names then this is where Leo gets a little shy.
He'd hesitate to call you babe just cuz itās so foreign to him and really makes the fact that YOU are his s/o the more real to him.
If anything, I see Leo calling you cringe stuff like pookie or my love or just overly sappy pet names.
Then, in an ironic twist, theyād stick and no longer be as comedic and more so sincere.
He does fluster if people ask why heās calling you the name though.Ā
P - Patience (how easily do they get angry?)
Leo isnāt the type of guy to get angry super quick but will be a little disappointed or even confused if you suddenly start making conflict.
In fact, Iād argue that Leo would try and dissuade you from escalating situations when itās very much avoidable. (Excluding situations where youāre being disrespected or when aggressive confrontation is necessary)
Even when you have an issue with something he didā whether it be that he said something hurtful or something that bothered youā heād be more likely to be concerned and even bummed out at himself for unintentionally hurting you.
Of course if you go at him, hurling deep insults that youāre saying with the intention to hurt him and even say things about what he cares about (his friends, passions, festus, or even his past and feelings about himself)
He will be pissed, wonāt tolerate you, and expect an apology. (as he should).
Q - Quiet (How are the calm, quiet moments with them?)
Theyāre resulted from either Leo being too tired from the day's work/activity or having discussed a heavy topic.
Either way, heād likely lean on your shoulder, silently asking for comfort as he drifts off.
R - Rhythm (what songs reminds you of them?)
R - RomanceĀ (How romantic are they? What are their go-to ways of being romantic?
Leo is very flirtatious, yes even bad flirting counts.
Heās always flirting, teasing, joking (cringely), the works. Plus, once youāre together I doubt heād refrain from complimenting you all the time, once heās over his shy phase of course.
Heād always gift you things, whether homemade or not (usually they are), without the intention of being romantic in the first place.
Though, he would typically go with traditional ways of being romantic like going on a date to eat and getting you flowers.
S - Secrets (how open are they with you?)
Heās very open, even when heās not trying to be.
He wears his heart on his sleeve, his face never fails in telling you how he truly feels, and youāre always able to tell when he's not feeling his best due to how different his behavior is.
It doesnāt even matter if heās trying to keep something to himself because itāll be painfully apparent to you.
S - safe (What makes them feel safe and comfortable around you?)
Knowing that youāll never make fun of him, actually like him, and donāt find him annoying to be around.Ā
S - Security (how protective are they? how would they protect their s/o?)
The question here is how effective that protectiveness is.
I like to compare him trying to protect you to a small dog that the other party finds annoying.
It wouldnāt be that effective, especially since the other party likely thinks heās weak.
He also protects you by watching your back and letting you know if any other danger (other than the danger youāre already fighting) is headed your way.
T - Time (how long did it take you to get together?)
Iād say it took you either a month or a couple to get together officially.
The timeline is weird and depending on what you want as canon, you couldāve gotten together on the quest or after he finally returned from rescuing his (rightfully) platonic friend Calypso.
(Though in this ācanonā Leo wouldāve saved her because of how similar they are and how heād want to prove himself despite literally dying in the process of completing the quest of the seven).
T - Tend (How do they act when youāre hurt or sick, and vice versa?)
Leo doesnāt hesitate when it comes to you getting hurt, especially not when youāre in the middle of a battle.
If and once youāre away from the fight, heād immediately lift you and try to find help if ambrosia isn't available at the moment.
Heād be pretty worried if youāre sick too but not that overbearing since he knows youāre not in any immediate danger.
When it comes to him getting injured, heād immediately get hyperaware of where he is and all the ways he can be chopped and murdered.
This disappears once he notices you, and relaxes at the fact that his chance of survival just shot up immensely.
He knows he can depend and rely on you so he isnāt too worried. If anything heād be look out while you fight any monsters that come across your path.
When heās sick, heās very overdramatic and asks for you to be around him all the time, even asking for kisses while trying to convince you that itāll cure him (shocker, it wonāt).Ā
T - Tease (how do they tease you?)
Leo enjoys flirting with you in an over dramatic manner.
Heās pulling the full stops and goes over the top with pet names and physical contact.
He also enjoys teasing you over little things or in casual conversation, just lightheartedly though.
However, as devious as he may be, he also gets flustered if you reciprocate.
Especially in the early stages of your relationship where heās not all that used to reciprocation.
He just needs a breather.
U - Upset (how do they act when youāre upset?)
The chances of Leo being upset when you're upset is exponential.
Iād guarantee that youāre the person he spends the most of his time with so heād probably happily approach you thinking you could hang out and spend the evening laughing just to see that you're upset and not in the mood.
Now heās very upset and has a vendetta towards whoever upset you that he wonāt act on.
Seriously speaking though, heād try and cheer you up.
If that doesnāt work and you want to be left alone then heāll accept it and go away.
U - Ugly (what are some bad habits of theirs?)
One of Leoās bad habits would be closing himself off when heās hurt and has a lot on his mind.
Itās obvious he doesnāt mean to, itās just something he canāt help.
On a less serious note, his bad habit would probably be biting his fingernails.Ā
V - Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)
Leo is proud of many (lie) things.
Amongst them are you and Festus.
Plus, I like to think heās rather proud of his work on the Argo.
That, of course, gradually goes away as his hasty (yet efficient) repairs arenāt done with aesthetics in mind.
Youād also better believe that Leo likes showing you off. Why? Because he loves you, and also because he canāt help but feel proud of accomplishments or hobbies you have.
V - Vanity (how concerned are they with their looks?)
Iād say that it depends (again).
On one hand, people never really allowed him to forget about his looks.
Whether that was through unwarranted insults and snickers from girls at school or from girls heād hit on who were way out of his league, he always knew he wasnāt conventionally attractive like Jason or Percy.
On the other hand, Leo doesnāt really have time to worry.
Whether he was couch surfing or already a part of camp, he always had something to keep him (unfortunately) busy.
You donāt really care about your looks when death is staring you right in the face.
That being said, I think heād have a thought or two when it comes to you, probably thinking youāre far more attractive than he is.Ā
W - Warrior (how do they feel about you fighting? Would they fight for you, beside you, etc?)
Leo doesnāt feel a particular way about you fighting.
Itās sort of expected of demigods, and he knows you have to defend yourself, so itād be sort of icky if he had an issue with it.
One thing is for sure, though: heāll be aware of how you are during and after battles, making sure youāre alright.
Heād also be willing to fight beside you and for you. Heās not the strongest, but with his mind and multiple ways of applying his fire powers, heās more than capable of holding his own and protecting you when it counts.

Despite his silly nature, I think that a S/O who was the bitey type would surprise him.
Heād squeak the first time you bit him too, though he wouldnāt be opposed to it as long as you didnāt bite him too hard.Ā

Yes, like I said previously, your presence has had the long term effect of becoming something Leo relies on deeply, and your prolonged presence and impact on him has resulted in a āyouā shaped hole in his heart that heās afraid will never be filled if you went away or something happened to you.
So yea, heād be pretty torn up without you.

This solely depends on you and how you are as a person.
Of course, if youāre like Leo (the overly energetic type, all smiles, etc.) and suddenly display behavior like being quiet or standoffish, then heād be able to tell that youāre not okay.
I mean, heās not an idiot.
Though, itād be harder for him to tell if youāre particularly good at hiding it.
He might be able to sense somethingās off but not know enough to confront you about it.
X - XO (How do they show you affection? How much PDA are they willing to show?)
How much Leoās able to show you is dependent on the stage of your relationship.
I imagine that, while heās able to be bold with his flirting, heād sometimes get shy and flustered to the point where being physically close to you would be impossible (fire).
Though, I also imagine that in itself is short-lived, as he enjoys holding your hand, flinging himself at you, and just being close to you in general.
Of course, heād be mindful of PDA if you donāt like it or depending on where you guys are.
However, heās very inclined to it.

Either mopes or throws himself into mindless inventions.
Anything to get his mind off of you just for him to finish his project, flop onto his bed or the couch in the Waystation, and sigh knowing he still misses you.

I can think of a few (obvious) things.Ā
I donāt think Leo would like a partner whoās emotionally dismissive or consistently uninterested.
Not even in a super obvious way, but in the sense that they brush off his jokes, donāt engage with his excitement, or treat his enthusiasm like itās ātoo much.ā
Leo needs some level of reciprocation. You donāt have to match his energy to a T, but if someone constantly shuts him down or makes him feel annoyed for being himself, itād hurt him more than heād probably admit.
He also wouldnāt like someone who refuses to communicate.
Leo isnāt great at reading between the lines, so if a partner expects him to just know whatās wrong while giving him nothing to work with, heād end up anxious, second guessing himself, and overthinking it.
Overall, a partner who makes him feel small, unwanted, or like he has to tone himself down to be loved just wouldnāt work for him, even if heād try longer than he should to make it work.

Leo is very clingy when he gets sleepy.
Heās out of it and trying to cuddle into you, with little regard for whether or not him being a human furnace is something to keep in mind.
He isnāt the type to hog the blankets on purpose, but I do think heād trap them under him by accident.
Heād also end up following you if you tried to move away, so youāre just constantly smothered.
